Not the fanciest spa around Cairo. It was not as I expected. I wanted a gift voucher to present it to a friend and all they gave me was an A4 paper without any logos or stamps, it wasn't even on a letter head, which made it look very cheap!! It also included the price of the session... say what?!? A gift voucher with the price on it! I was disappointed!! The spa is clean but as I walked in there was a lady sipping coffee at the reception area and later on I was told that she's my masseuse! Unprofessional! The cleanliness is good overall and the massage session was ok. If I'm looking for a fancy experience I wouldn't go back, but if I'm looking for an affordable massage session I would definitely go again.
It was the worst experience I had ever. I had stayed for few months for business. sadly, sometimes no shower towel was in the room after housekeeping. then I ask for shower towel, there was no answer & no towel for 2~3 hour. In case of Jym, person who in charge to manage Jym always pushed me stop ealier Than closing time. close time is 11PM but from 10:30 he tried to close Jym. It could be big stress for refresh. last, In my standard this hotel was not kind.. sometimes made feel me threatened with service & charge or feel me uncomportable. Opertion desk is not reliable. always have to ask many times for some favor. But I dare besure you can't solve your work and needs. I got just stressed not healing
Had higher expectation for the hotel and its standard since the Radisson Blu here in Addis Ababa is excellent. Very few staff were helpful "Specially Islam" the rest were very slow or plainly can't follow instruction or lack of understanding. You have to complain/ argue to get things done at the hotel specially with the room service.
Staff look like not professional. No warm wellcome. Room cleaner always forget to put soap, shampoos etc. Dinner boffet not suffient and proper food. In the restaurant staff moving here and there but not listning the guest. If you ask some thing they will provide you in 1st. Receptionst during during checkout make a very bad impression, he spoke very loudly in angry mode once I asked some thing
Internet is very slow and patchy, not ideal if you are traveling for work. Room service menu is limited and when it was ordered the order was wrong two days in a row. They don't seem to know their own menu or carry change as you have to pay cash and can't sign to the room, very odd for a Radisson. Also some of the lights in the room were broken.
When it is a 5 star hotel, your expectations are quite high too but this hotel disappoints ! I got a room with a city view and that was good. The wifi in the room was extremely feeble and i was struggling to download my mails too. Sleep was very comfortable as the bed and mattress and pillows were all very cozy and warm. The bathroom had a bath tub and no shower curtain. Instead they had a glass partition which didn't serve the purpose it was intended for-keep the water to the tub. The result was that every time I had a shower, the bathroom would be flooded.I am sure the housekeeping is also struggling with this issue. Breakfast is quite decent and the highlight is the orange juice maker which works very well too. The staff certainly need some help with the english language. I had a bowl of corn flakes and was looking for cold milk and asked one lady for the same and she took the bowl from me and poured warm milk into it although I had insisted for cold milk quite a few times. They allowed me to check out at 1400 hrs and when I did they confirmed all ok even when I insisted if they need to give me a note about the check out. I hung around the lobby until it was time for my flight which was late in the evening and when I wanted to leave, I was asked for a check out card which I didn't have and I was asked to go and get it from the reception. Obviously , the reception staff didn't do their part of the job well.
For a 5 star rating hotel, this lacked all you would expect. Tables and chairs wobbled. Chair seats were filthy, not just dirty. Only 3 of the 6 restaurants were open. Change the star rating so that expectations are lower and you would be closer to meeting people's expectations. Good points are it is close to the airport, clean and comfortable bed, the occasional staff member who was friendly and helpful.
The hotel is nice with fantastic location closed to the airport and to the city. It is also few minutes away from Cairo festival Mall. I enjoyed my stay and the kids as well. It is a mixture between a business and leisure hotel and from my point of view better than the other hotels at Cairo airport as when you stay there you are still connected to the city life while other hotels at Cairo airport you are isolated in a separate island. Thanks Mr. Sherif for your support
The day we landed and we went there we got an upgrade lovely stay with good aircon! and lovely food n staff but again when we came back 7 days later we had to change 2 rooms at night because of aircon issues the second room still had aircon troubles it was warm inside ! food was gud but only problem was the aircon ! staff was courteous!
Good bits - free WiFi everywhere, clean & functional room/ bathroom, good location for the airport, nice pool on 9th floor. Bad bits - very slow/ inefficient check-in and out, poor quality buffet in Mix restaurant (most hot food was barely warm), poor bar snacks, internal atrium & roadside location makes for a fair bit of noise. OK for the odd night, but not a place I'd be in a rush to return to.
- Free WiFi in rooms and public areas
- Onsite dining
- Outdoor pool
