The Pharoah’s hotel was under renovation when I stayed and I had a chance to stay in their old rooms and newly renovated ones. The old rooms justify the current three star rating on TripAdvisor, but the new rooms are beautiful. We found the staff to be incredibly kind and hospitable and we were helped with any need we requested. The food isn’t five star, but they practice hygiene methods that are suitable for tourist’s stomachs. A big perk is that the WiFi is free and works in the rooms.
I think this hotel must have once been very nice but not really anymore. The bathroom was in a very poor state and when I sat on the toilet in nearly fell over. The room was very tired and a bit grubby looking. Breakfast was not much at all. We ordered dinner one night (once was enough) and we had a choice of kofta or chicken with rice and that was it (it was dry and not very nice). The staff however were lovely and warm.
it was nice stay at this hotel for 1 day : hotel in Ahmed Orabi street beside sphinx square i found that the food was acceptable and service is good i think that this hotel is great for a one night stay and close to public transport and all food brand to find a delicious food, staff were helpful overall good to have a stay in such hotel at middle of Cairo
Our room was basic with old fixtures and fittings, stains on the carpet, the bathroom had rust in the shower basin and paint peeling off the toilet seat. Place needs a major overhaul. There may of once been a cafe upstairs but it was demolished. On the plus, the staff were helpful when needed and the wifi worked.
Shower barely worked, the air con barely worked, the wifi barely worked everything barely worked. The breakfast is shockingly bad -.- Great for a one night stay and close to public transport. I wouldn't stay there unless it was part of the tour i was on. On the brighter side, the staff are excellent.
good hotel with nice staff cool people the hotel room is large and clean , the service is good the food... i can t describe it , so amazing flavors. Cairo is a beautiful city , must stop by before visiting pyramids.
The hotel is quite ok, people at the reception and the door man are friendly. There is supposed to be a gym, in fact there isn't, as the captain there is kind of lazy and won't work after sunset. That's when he locks the gym and leaves. Around seven p.m. he even starts shouting at guests to make them leave. I think it is a totally inacceptable behaviour for a hotel of this category and really spoiled my time there.
It was my first time in Egypt, and I was on a tour, but the days before and after, I stayed here. Not a bad place, pretty basic facilities and beds. The staff were nice and friendly. 24 room service is pretty awesome too. Theres a little convenience store on the corner. As for getting around the city, i pretty much stayed in most days, only leaving with the tour. Good base hotel to explore the city. Close to the nice. Seemed to be good value for money.
A good option for budget travellers, but don't expect too much. The room was not at all clean; best to shower and brush your teeth with the bathroom lights off! On the plus side, the location is good and there's a 24 hour supermarket just around the corner, in addition to an internet cafe. It's a fairly 'safe' area for Cairo, and with lots of tour groups coming and going there is a friendly atmosphere.
We were staying here just 2 days. Location is on mohandessin. Room was clean, bathroom is huge, bathtube. The price is including nice breakfast from 7 till 10 am. They have internet but its expensive, so we didnt take it. In general its a very good hotel for business trips when you need a room for short time and not expensive.
