I was really looking forward to relaxing in a luxury hotel, getting massages and swimming laps in the pool after a long and arduous trip in the Middle East, however, it wasn't the case. First of all after checking in the room smelled of cigarette smoke, the manager was very prompt and efficient and changed me to a nice well sized room which was newly renovated. I went did laps in the pool in the morning which was great and when I showed some interest in the bread maker by the pool the manager by the pool was extremely kind and sent me some of the bread pockets and some vine leaves to taste. The bread pockets were delicious and I was very grateful for the extremely kind gesture. I went to book in for a massage, however, it turned out that the spa was closed for renovations that day : ( Later that night I was waken around 4am to extremely loud music and called the operator that sent security to rectify the situation. I booked in for a massage the next day, only to be told that I couldn't use the other facilities at the spa as they were doing renovations. I was extremely disappointed as I had planned on spending a couple of days relaxing and making use of the spa. I did speak to a manager and he was kind enough to give me a complimentary treatment at the spa. I arrived at the spa, the staff was great, efficient and professional and the massage therapist was great, however, through the massage there was constant thumping sound from the construction next door and the therapist had to leave the room on 2 occasions before the noise stopped and I could finally enjoy the tail end of the massage in peace. I was waking up early the next morning to catch my flight out, however, again I was awoken by extremely loud music at around 1am in the morning. Again, I called the operator he apologized and sent security to rectify the situation. So, my peaceful relaxing stay at a luxury hotel, was definitely not the case.
i went there for short business trip .. the rooms have a really nice view.. the rooms are big not small like the other hotels..the location is close to many attractions.. the pool was awsome.. the service is great and the lobby is wow.. we enjoyed our short stay
Excellent visit with the Four Seasons. Hotel is in an upscale location in Cairo. Booked a premium room and it was awesome, very spacious. Bed was very comfortable and as always with the Four Seasons the furnishings were classic. Ordered room service multiple times, the food was excellent, loved their version of the club sandwich.
The hotel is wonderful. The staff is extra extra gentle and professional. A few of them are the best I have ever seen in my life. Especially Mahmoud in the Tea Lounge and the staff on the pool. The hotel ia clean and the service is wonderful. The only drawback about this hotel is the pool area. It is not the best I've seen and the sun will only shine there directly for about 4 hours only. Also the night life closes at 2:00am everyday so there's pretty much nothing to do there after 2 for the people who like to stay up late.
I was lucky enough to stay at the Four Seasons at the First Residence for a few months, and although I stayed at many hotels around the world, this one had my best experience ever! The hotel is located at a quite street just off the river Nile, with easy routes to Cairo's and Giza's main attractions. The hotel has all facilities needed, Gym, Restaurants, Spa, Bars, a Casino, and all amenities expected at a 5 star hotel. In addition, there is a shopping mall right next to the hotel with stores representing some of the key global brands. The rooms are spacious, with elegant designs, and very clean at all times. The furniture might be a little dated, but it fits perfectly with the olden luxurious theme of the hotel. The bed is super comfortable, and with a variety of pillows to match what you like. Now, the best part in this hotel is the people working there. They are the most friendly and polite staff I've ever seen. They will call you by name, and make sure they do their best to know your preferences, your key interests, and then personalise your experiences as much as they can. (I had a Manchester United cap in my room, and they sent me a cake wishing my team good luck when the premier league started!!) All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel to both business travellers and families alike. I'm planning to go back for nothing else but to stay in the hotel. That's how much I enjoyed it.
If you're staying here in the next few weeks and plan to use the pool area, read to the end of this review. We had the occasion to stay here for two 4 night stays over a two week period, and over all the experience was top notch. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and Yasmeen's welcoming at check in was our introduction to the positive friendly attitude that every member of the staff here demonstrated. During our second stay there was an issue relating to finding a nonsmoking room which was professionally handled by Tamer Kelany. It seemed that all the rooms were spacious and well laid out, and no request was too small. If you have the occasion to send out for laundry, you're in for a treat. And a really special recognition Ghada who kept our rooms spotless, neat, tidy, and took the time to get to know us. As it happened, we were on her floor for both stays and her always smiling personality was a pleasure to encounter. Our rate included daily breakfast at the Tea Lounge which you have to see to believe. A huge assortment of everything - freshly squeezed juices, a smoothie bar, baked goods, local dishes, fresh fruit were waiting for us every morning. The always pleasant wait staff seemed a little overwhelmed when it was busy - requests for coffee and cooked to order eggs at times taking longer than expected. The poolside Aura restaurant, open for lunch and dinner, has a huge and tasty menu with live music in the evenings. Finally, there's the pool which sits between the two hotel towers. It is in the sun between 11 am - 3:30 pm. The staff are very attentive, helping to find loungers, towels, food, drink, and stopping by with sample sized smoothies and ice waters. Unfortunately, there is major construction going on at the pool area. For the whole of our stays, we watched the workmen in their flip flops hammering up new cabanas, welders in their sunglasses connecting framing, and endured the never ending din of saws cutting steel, wood, tile, cement, only to be outdone by the guy with the jack hammer breaking up concrete. There is, and was, NO MENTION of this on their website, or even in the hotel lobby. The only signage posted to acknowledge is at the pool - a little late and a BIG fail for a Four Seasons hotel. The pool area only gets 4 hours of direct sun - one might have thought to pause the construction for this period at least. So be aware. And if you plan to use the pool during a stay over the next few weeks, contact the hotel first to get an update on what you might still expect. Aside from this, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again - this hotel is very nice, and the staff here are incredible
Three of us stayed at the Four Seasons at the First Residence in early July. The hotel was very nice and the rooms were spacious and clean. The pool area was nice and the food at Aura restaurant was great. The service as OK. However, It happened on more than one occasion that I was told a staff member would call me back and I would not receive a call. There was also construction work going on during our stay. We were not informed of this when we booked. The construction work was happening while we were at the pool enjoying lunch and no one came to let us know or apologise, this was very unprofessional. Check out was also very bad. To his credit, the person checking us out did a good job but nothing had been organised despite having made the arrangements months in advance, and confirming them the afternoon of our checkout day. We had booked a car through the hotel which was not ready. It took nearly 10 minutes just for the staff member to process our payment of the final account even though it was all going on one credit card. When we got to the airport the drive just abandoned us and our luggage was taken into the airport by a man who was hassling us (and likely looking for money) even though we had not asked him to take our luggage. That is not the worst part. The three of us all contracted food poisoning which was likely from our room service dinner on the last night. It ruined the rest of our holiday. Due to this terrible experience I would not stay with this hotel again.
I stayed at the first residence Four Seasons hotel for 2 nights for a quick visit to Egypt. It was a very safe and comfortable hotel. A good base to visit the Pyramids. The hotel has metal detectors and an X-ray machine for your bags. The hotel also has a nice casino. It is a good place to get US dollars from an ATM. The food at the lounge on the 4th floor is excellent. They also have nightly music at the lounge. Overall highly recommended. Pros: 1. Comfortable rooms and the best sleep I have had in a while. Very comfortable and amazing bathroom. 2. Excellent food at the pool on the 4th floor lounge. 3. Great spa as well. I had a great massage. 4. Good overall and friendly service from everyone. 5. Very good casino. The rules are a little lax but that is fine. 6. great nightly music at the lounge Cons: 1. A little too much smoking at the casino and 4th floor lounge. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.
Everything was outstanding about this hotel - the staff, the room, the location - It was so great I did not feel like leaving my room or the hotel! The staff could not do enough, the inroom dining was special overlooking the pyramids and the zoo. The staff allowed me a late check out for free - they could not do enough.
Everything was excellent. Very well taken care of. The room was clean and spacious. The check-in and check-out were professional. The breakfast was incredible. Overall, the service was amazing and I would highly recommend this hotel.
