We arrived after having booked the superior suite for 8 days. There was a slight language barrier, but we showed the booking and presumed they understood. However, we were then taken to a normal double bedroom with limited space and a very small bathroom. We were told we would be moving into the room we booked in the morning, which we accepted as sometimes things do go a bit wrong and we didn’t want to be intolerant or inconsiderate.
The next morning, we were taken into another similar room. A standard double. We explained that we booked the superior suite, at which point they told us to go up for breakfast and the room would be ready in half an hour as it had only been vacated that morning (a red flag as we had booked the superior suite for the previous night too and there ought not have been anyone else staying in the room that we had booked, anyway). They showed us what appeared to be their junior suite from the website. At this point, we were aware that it was not the room that we booked but did not feel like we could continue to complain, so accepted. No refund was offered and no acknowledgement made of the fact that this was clearly again the wrong room. I found myself wondering whether the superior suite we had booked even existed.
The view from the terrace for breakfast was lovely. Unfortunately, the server started playing obnoxiously loud music from the speakers. It was impossible to eat. The food was poor. We left, and never returned for breakfast.
The staff are all wonderful and friendly . The rooms are clean with anything you might need.
The view from the rooftop restaurant is amazing.
I would definitely go back and would recommend other people to stay at Almas.

The staff was great the hotel a was really the breakfast was ok nicely served… the first room the deluxe and standard room we really run down it need alot of work through was up graded to a suite that looked like a deluxe that was much better over I have no complaints I suggest not to reserved standard of deluxe rooms because you will be in for a disappointment… overall I give the hotel a 4 star
I really liked the rooftop sitting area and the view from the rooftop, the room was nice and cool which was great because it's summer here at the moment. The hotel manager and staff gave A+ service and i always felt well looked after. They were very helpful, friendly, and accommodating, and breakfast was always served fast and deliciously 😋
Thank you Almas Pyramids Hotel!
The quick review: book it. You can’t get better view and hospitality for this price. Rooms are comfortable, great views and area is overwhelming, but safe.
The longer and ethical review:
This hotel is one of the local small business that work together. The surrounds may make you uncomfortable at first, but don’t let it ruin your experience. The room I have stayed (and the ones peaked at as I walked to/from mine) are VERY comfortable, pretty and with hand make unique pieces. The views from the terraces are unbeatable, and beyond a little of language barriers, theses accommodations are where you can experience the true Egiptian hospitality.
We should always remember that travelling is about, also, coming into someone else’s home and space. Contributing to these local small business seems, to me, an ethical way of travelling. And helping, even if it is a little, to the development of a very poor area. Just be open: you may book a hotel and be accommodated in one nearby in the same or higher category.
Reception is extremely helpful arranging transportation. The contact phone number found in the booking is also a WhatsApp number, making communication very easy.
It was a pleasure and a REAL experience, to stay with them twice in this trip to Egypt.
Super nice room, amazing and very helpful staff, best traditional breakfast and overall a very good experience. The location is close to the pyramids complex, which is perfect if you want to explore the history of egypt. I can really recommend this hotel. STAFF = 6 stars
