Let me start by saying the hotel staff were good and we had no issues with them at all. However, the room doors need attention as they don’t always close properly. After returning from a day trip, we found that the cleaner had left our door open. Thankfully nothing was stolen, but it was understandably very frustrating.
Overall, the room itself was of good quality and we had a pleasant stay. The air conditioning was fantastic if anything, it worked a little too well, but that’s hardly a complaint.
The main reason for my lower rating relates to the maintenance of the building. The pool was extremely dirty, the umbrellas were torn and broken, and although the sun loungers were comfortable, they were clearly worn, with broken backs and damaged backrests. The toilets were very dated and reminded me of a Butlins-style holiday camp. Overall, the property felt more like a budget Travelodge than a hotel offering standout facilities.
I would say there are better hotels available with superior facilities. If you’re looking for a “wow” factor, I would recommend looking elsewhere. That said, the saving grace of this property was the stunning views from the room and over the marina.
