Accessibility to stores and restaurants in the evening. Great for kids since it's near the gig tree playground. Wish the pools were heated.

The hotel is beautiful and in a central location, an easy walk to key areas. The wait staff were all very friendly and helpful, giving me access to the gym and pool long after I'd checked out, storing my luggage on several occasions, giving me good local advice, arranging for a middle-of-the-night breakfast box and taxi as I left, etc. I was in 3 different rooms as I checked in and out several times between dive boat trips. Each was large, very nice, and had a good view. The halls smelled fresh and clean. The rooms are sleek: marble counters with nice sinks, a small frig/bar area, tasteful decor.

great location service was uneven but when the glitches happened they were eager to make up for it. One exception and complaint: a hand delivered letter wasnt delivered to my room for two days. This could have been a costly mistake if it was business related but forutnately it was social. Nevertheless, it was embarrassing and hotel seemed not very apologetic. The young porter named Luther was a delight! He was eager to please, not lazy, willing to go the extra mile, was upset with the hotel for their stupidities, and refused to accept a tip! He saved the day and was very much appreciated. Advice to Pullman, hire more peoplle like Luther

The hotel was in a great location. Walking distance from anything that you want. The staff was extremely friendly and helpfull.

i went to cairns alone to go diving, i just wanted a hotel close to the main area in town and the marina where i was going to catch my diving boat. this hotel provided both-- perfect location to get to everywhere on foot. and it was beautiful-- beautiful lobby, great room with a balcony, even though it was overlooking the city, i still had a glimpse of the marina, very clean, very big, especially for one. i didn't use any of it, but there was a great pool, spa, lots of bars and restaurants in the hotel, looked pretty good. i highly recommend this hotel.

I am so glad we sprang for this higher priced hotel, all the more after I saw our cheaper alternatives once in Cairns. As for Sebel, the bathroom had a double sink and enormous counter space. This was so great to have when both getting ready to leave. The balcony had an amazing view of the boat dock with a pristine green mountain in the near background that the sun would just rise behind in the AM and would really be something out of a picture, we even filmed 20 minutes of this moment it was so special. The location is just perfect, and in fact, we considered staying at another hotel which was not so centrally located (it was near the hospital much further down the Esplanade) and we walked there and we were 100% confident that the daily walk from that hotel would NOT have been worth the reduced cost and would have significantly detracted from our experience with all the hub bub involved in going to and fro the room throughout the day. Having a room just nearby allowed us to grab extra cash, that forgotten item, and just stop in to relax for an hour without feeling like we were "going all the way back."

Easy access to Cairns city center. Close to the Esplanade and the Marina.

The staff are wonderful, the view (harborside view) was amazing and the value was extremely affordable for the luxurious surroundings and service. Concierge services were fantastic also!

The hotel was beautiful, and well priced on a per night basis. Very convienient location. Staff very curteous, and helpful when necessary. Pool area just beautiful. The only draw back was the cost of anything other than the per night room rate. In room wi fi, self serve laundry, parking. These incidentals added up to what was a ridiculous cost per night. Very misleading I felt. I would love to stay there again, but not with wi fi charges that high.

We stayed at the Sebel while diving the Great Barrier Reef. We were concerned by some of the reviews on the Orbitz website, but found that the Sebel was a nice hotel at an excellent value. The hotel is located very close to the docks where all the dive boats are harbored. The hotel was clean and comfortably furnished. The only downside was that they would not allow us to check out late and we had to be packed and out of our room by 11am.
