Comfort Inn Cairns City

It is an older style motel which was quite basic. There was no bar or restaurant service when I was there - maybe a continental breakfast - not sure. Being Cairns however, it is only a short walk to find dining and a bar. Moderately clean. Bed OK at best. If your on a budget and are prepared to walk for meals etc then this is OK.

While searching online for hotels in Cairns city center, I came across it through Trip Advisor and booked it online. The room was spacious and clean with basics. We stayed here for three nights. The hotel stuffs were friendly. Location of the hotel is good as it is right in the city center, within walking distance from the Esplanade.

very basic but clean and tidy, only downsides, no desk to work at as i am business traveller, had to setup laptop in bathroom, shower design has more water on the bathroom floor than shower and no microwave, otherwise ok would not recommend for business travellers

For a short one night stopover the room was small but clean and comfortable. Parking was a long way from the unit when getting luggage in. I asked staff about breakfast and was completely ignored so didn't bother. For the price it was suitable for one night and in a handy location.

I was in a room that adjoins with another through a door. Tv playing in adjoining room- conversations on the phone, coughing sneezing, can be heard through the door. Also in the room next door (no connecting internal door) singing and talking and laughter can be heard, which is fine if you are not trying to get an early night with a flight at 0600 the following day! The Concierge Aman was very nice and tried to be helpful in booking my tours. The place is neat but it needs a renovation- especially the bathroom in the room I stayed in. I stayed around the back of the reception room 111 and the bathroom is very dated and has a strange smell. Customer service is very important so I would encourage Aman's husband to continue to try to be present with customers :) Aman was really the highlight of my stay here!

Pretty standard hotel, within walking distance from city center and staff were very friendly. WiFi was terrible on the top floor, going downstairs seemed to work better but two of my work calls got dropped due to WiFi going in and out. Room wasn't serviced on the first day, no mini lotion (picky but most hotels provide at least that with shampoo & conditioner). No safe for valuables. You could hear a lot of other guest noise. There are nicer options but this is okay.

Would recommend this accommodation.. Very clean, quiet & friendly staff. Good location. Walking distance to the esplanade & shops. Handy having free parking & continental breakfast available was very good value G&M Brisbane

Comfort Inn is my go-to hotel for short stays in any city. Very very pleased with this hotel. It was very clean and comfortable. One of our vacation days was rained out so we hunkered in and did laundry here. Highly recommend. Also, the buses to the beaches as well as the city center stop right in front, so that was another plus. There is a cute coffee shop a few yards away for eat in or take away flat whites.

spacious but that's because there's no furniture. No table, no desk just one outdoor plastic chair and low coffee table. We stayed 5 nights in total in two different rooms. Comfortable beds and good air conditioner. fridges are provided, albeit in the wardrobe in one of the rooms we occupied. Very difficult if you want to eat in with one chair and a low coffee table, plus sitting on the bed to eat or drink is not good. Breakfast is offered for a fee ($12) in a dining area in the reception block. Checkin on both occasions was very slow. Easy level walk to the Esplanade, restaurants etc. and there is a pool.

We flew in from Alice Springs and our flight only arrived around 8 pm. After 7 pm the reception desk at this hotel closes so we couldn't check it. Luckily enough there's a phone number displayed to call which we did. Within 2 minutes somebody showed up to help us with our room. Turned out they had been mailing us with a procedure to find the key of our room in a safe in cxase we arrived late. We were really thankful to be able to check in hassle-free. The rooms er squeaky clean, there is a bit of road noise but nothing dramatic and the people at this hotel are really helpful
