Extremely clean hostel. Having had a bad experience in a hostel before I was expecting quite the opposite to nomads! We booked a private double room through Peter Pan travel and it was perfect. Extremely clean, large clean bathrooms, toiletries and fresh towels supplied. Would highly recommend. Our room Was of hotel standard. Quite noisy at night but obviously to be expected when staying in a hostel. I will be recommending :)
So we booked the hostel as part of our "base jumper" passes on a Friday night. By 8pm the unisex toilets had spew in 3/8 cubicles and the party was still going on. At the very reasonable time of 10pm the living and partying area closed however there were people screaming and knocking on the doors well into 4am. We were there for 2 nights and Saturday night was worse. I'm all up for a party but I think that's taking it too far. One of the worst hostels Iv staying in so far. The layout was nice and the rest of the hostel was clean but I'm not mopping up piss and vomit to go to the toilet. I realise this is the clientele that the hostel attracts however I think this needs controlled.
This is a great place to stay for a sporting team trip. However be aware that the company expects a $200 room bond (refundable) plus a $20 security deposit per person that is non refundable on top of your initial room costs.
Byron was my first stop on a month long tour of Australia. Nomads was a pleasant surprise to begin with. Having heard a lot of negative things about Nomads as a whole, I was bracing myself for something very unkept and dirty. However, i have to say that the rooms were very clean, toilets and showers were fine, and most importantly, the beds were reasonably comfortable. The courtyard is great for socialising, although only open until 10pm. Byron itself is a beautiful place, there's plenty to do to keep busy, however I'd envisage that staying longer than a week may become a bit tedious as it's only a very small town. I'm staying at another nomads later in my trip, let's hope it's as nice as this one!
Had a really nice stay (only one night) at nomads! Clean dorms and bathrooms, amazing reception staff (I think his name is Peppi or so, the intern from the netherlands!;)). They know how to give you a warm welcome and make your stay fun and enjoyable! :)
Started my east coast trip in Byron Bay. Stayed in a 6 bed ensuite which was spacious with comfy beds, enough power stations and a really clean bathroom!! The common bathrooms were also very clean. Theres a balcony attached to the kitchen so you can have your brekkie outside in the sun with a nice lookout! Reception and travel desk were super lovely and helpful. Travelled alone but met amazing people on the first night in the common area. They also have hot tubs and hammocks in the backyard and the location is perfect next to Aldi, cute Cafés and shops. Would definitely stay again!!
Such a well done hostel! The bedrooms are ok but the kitchen and the communal rooms are great! Free breakfast every morning was another nice surprise!! Very nice hostel in a great location! Overall... would definitely recommend to a friend!
Great spot, central to all you need. There was confusion on my arrival, so I was bumped up to a private room for my first night, so that was a bonus! I loved the vibe here, it was very busy given the Schoolies period in Aus, but the staff were on the ball doing their thang! Kitchen was good, nice and clean and had all that I needed! I love the outside area with hammocks and chill zones. Good beats and good vibes. I look forward to being back at Nomads in Byron!

Had a great time staying at Nomads Byron. Staff was super friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfy. Great location, right in the middle of Byron! Facilities were good. Enough showers and toilets outside the rooms, which is great! Would definitely come back here!
