This hotel had an incredible view. There isn’t much there, everything is far and it is up a very big climb. The incredible view does make the climb and inconvenience worth it though. Nobody really talked to me there, my room was ok but in need of some repairs. I don’t think it was worth the money paid to stay here. This place could be beautiful if the owners would put in the necessary work. Has so much potential and I can’t say enough about the view. I watched an incredible sunset while visiting this property.

The views are amazing and it’s very romantic. The breakfast was delicious and the staff is always very helpful. It’s family friendly and it’s located close enough to walk to everything within 20 minutes.

Fantastic location and service!

Recently stayed at the Pousada Pelicano for three nights and had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The hotel staff was very welcoming and helpful - they even helped us find some bicycles to rent when we wanted to explore Buzios. The views from the room and from the hotel breakfast area / pool are fantastic, overlooking the ocean and creating a relaxing atmosphere. We were a ten minute walk from the center square in Buzios, which was perfect. We were close enough to all the action but removed enough such that we could retreat to the hotel for some peace and quiet. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Definitely recommend Pousada Pelicano for a Buzios getaway!

Phenomenal experience

I am An American citizen who just left Buzios after a 10 day stay at this hotel. First let me tell you this hotel is at the top of a hill and has a breathtaking view. I arrived and entered the lobby and gave my name. The young Argentinian man had me fill out a few things on a form agreeing to pay for the room bar or drinks I might decide to indulge in. He did not demand a credit card or go into a list of rules. He was polite and grabbed my bags and led me to my room. I had originally booked a,junior room wiith a sea view. I was upgraded at no charge and for no apparent reason to the best Master King bed room they have with a view that would blow your mind. Some people complain about how steep the walk is down to the street. Listen there are stairs and it’s not that bad at all. The things people think to complain about. They want a view and to be on top of a mountain but they complain about stairs and a steep,driveway. I enjoyed being on top of the world myself. The room was very clean and comfortable. The air condition blew ice cold and the bed was nice. The bathroom was huge and the shower was excellent. I was accompanied by my fiancé who is Brazilian. They did not charge me one extra cent to have her there with me for 10 days. The staff was very very friendly. Also other guests were very courteous and there were some families there. The pool was absolutely stunning and clean. The breakfast was out of this world delicious and fresh. I am already planning my next trip there.

Welcoming hotel, but shabby overall. Spacious room, but can hear neighbours. Rather feeling old and run down overall. Quite pricy eventually for this level of quality. Good breakfast though.

Great place to stay in Buzios

Lovely staff and very friendly. Nice room with balcony. Is up a hill and the entrance is steep so best to avoid if hills are an issue. Great breakfast with lots of choice. The evening meals were a good option and good value. 10 mins walk to town centre and nearest beach. Would recommend.

A pousada é muito charmosa e aconchegante. Bem perto da Rua das Pedras, Orla Bardot e principais praias. Mas a verdade é que nem dá vontade de sair da pousada. A piscina é maravilhosa. Limpeza, roupa de cama, conforto, agua quentinha no banho...tudo impecável. A equipe é muito atenciosa e prestativa. Um obrigado especial ao Brenno e a Lorena. Não decorei o nome de todos mas um obrigado especial a todos os demais. Obrigado ao Alejandro, dono da pousada, que nos deu uma carona até a praia de João Fernando. Não vemos a hora de voltar!

O quarto estava limpissimo, cheiroso e impecável! Fomos recepcionados pelo Breno, que foi uma simpatia, nos deus todas as instruçoes e nos levou até o quarto! A pousada é linda, muito mais bonita do que nas fotos, a piscina é um espetáculo a parte, assim como a vista para a Orla Bardot. Toda a equipe de funcioários da pousada é simpática. O café da manhã no primeiro dia estava maravilhos, já no segundo, não estava tão bom, fatava alguns itens do primeiro, mesmo assim, estava bom! Cama e travesseiros confrtáveis, roupa de cama e banho bem macios, amei cada detalhe da pousada.

Consideramos ótima nossa primeira hospedagem na pousada Pelicano. Equipe super atenciosa, ambiente agradável, quarto limpo, café da manhã bom, área da piscina bacana... Só o tempo que não ajudou, pois choveu durante toda a estadia. E falando em chuva, o ponto de observação negativa é o estacionamento superior, que para acessa-lo é necessária superar uma rampa íngreme de paralelepípedos. Tarefa difícil com piso molhado. Fora isso, a pousada é excelente.
