Views and Mildew

Hubby & I were excited for Montana. This house had great reviews. Sadly, this house smelled badly of mold & mildew, the house was dirty & the fridge smelled too. We ended up sleeping on our own air bed & sleeping as far away from the bathrooms & bedrooms as possible. Regretfully, my asthma was triggered and thus our trip was ruined. We tried our hardest to make it work as we brought our dogs with us, and were unable to find another home to rent. The communication with owners was easy, the views of the lake are spectacular but hard to enjoy when one can't breathe. We have been home for 3 days and and we are still trying to wash the mildew odor out of our clothes and blankets. I wanted to send the photos to the owners before I left the review, as I do not think they were aware of their cleaning company lack to clean.
Dirty baseboards with gunk on them, all of the baseboards in house were dirty, the window sills were dirty & littered with dead bugs, we can only upload 8 photos.
Mold growing in 2nd shower with cobwebs. Pic was taken and never used shower.
Blinds were crusted with food & debris, this was in kitchen.
The shower wall was stapled on and it was bowing with water & mold, then there was brown water coming out the bottom of wall. Never used the shower.

This was exactly what we needed!

The location and views were perfect for a short get away. October can be iffy as far as weather goes, but the weather was terrific. The fall colors were amazing, and watching the lake and sunsets from the deck, or through the large windows in the living room was very relaxing. Comfortable, clean, well stocked for kitchen wares, and easy check in and check out. What more could we ask for? Highly recommend!

Dont over think it, just book it.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The cabin was clean, very comfortable, and the deck is a great. I never needed to contact Whitney, as the cabin has everything you need for a relaxing stay and the information in their "house book" explains everything you would need to know. highly recommend this place.

A Perfect Weekend Getaway

My husband and I just loved our stay at the Georgetown Lake Lookout!! The views were amazing and the property had more than enough space for the two us and our pup! We loved the proximity to trails and the water. The neighborbood was very quiet and peaceful. We definitely recommend anyone stay here!

Nice little getaway!

This cozy property was situated on a hillside and the picture windows in the living room allowed a beautiful view of the lake and the light as the sun came up and went down. It is close in proximity to Discovery ski area and not too far from our family in the next town over. Although the snow conditions weren’t ideal this year, we did enjoy using the wood fireplace, (lots of wood to burn right there on the hearth and more close by, on the amazing deck) playing cards and dice and we even took the short drive over to Butte for a tour of the Copper King Mansion. The hosts were very easy to communicate with. The beds were comfy and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. There was even a complimentary bottle of wine! Thank you, Jon and Whitney!

Absolutely a perfect place to spend your getaway. Beautiful views of Georgetown Lake from the porch as well as a second deck under a roof, and it faces SW for great sunsets. Beds were very comfortable. There's a fireplace inside and a fire ring outside and lots of firewood provided. Loved our stay!

Lovely experience

We loved our time at the lookout! Very clean and cozy, we felt at home. We had poor weather but that didnt stop us from having a good time. Warm fires and great views. We would recommend to anyone and hope to stay again.

Great spot!

The location and views were amazing. We appreciated the easy communication with the hosts. They even let us in a bit early when we arrived early on a rainy day! Our kids loved the swings, nice to be able to bring our dog. The garage use was a plus. We saw many critters this trip! We'd stay again and recommend it!
