This lovely hotel is one of the recommended hotels by our Dental Clinic Vital Europe, We stayed at this hotel at the beginning of December 2017 for 3 days, it is the second time we have stayed here. We also stayed here in September 2017 again for 3 days and this is the second time we have reviewed this lovely hotel. We are very happy that Vital Europe Recommended this hotel because we feel so comfortable here, the staff are really lovely and very helpful and the hotel has excellent facilities and it is very close to our the clinic, we have not had any problems with this hotel. Vital Europe have already booked us in at the Novotel for 2 nights on the 4 of March 2018 and we are very happy to stay here again, in fact its like going home! See you soon Novotel and thank you for making us feel very comfortable every time.
The hotel is a litfle bit out side of the center but there are bus and tram just next to it. (Taxi until the center is not expensive about 1600 UHF). Service and room arw good.and the breakfeast also. I recommand.
The bathroom is a older and wasted, and “it’s nothing” but the cleaning person stole me 20 euros and the hotel does’nt want to be responsable. In the other side the location is good but, hungarian people are tricky, in the Street and hotel
Fabulous staff, friendly, I have a double suite, Very Nice and comfortable, Highly recommend...Disappointing No Snow, Can’t blame the Hotel for that...Slightly out of the way, But only 10euros from City Centre...
I have stayed here several times, this is a very good hotel for it's price. The service is nice the breakfast is quite good, and the hotel is nice overall. They changed the beds since the last time I was here . It is now much more comfortable. The location is very good, the center is easily reachable with public transport. There is even a shopping center nearby. I would definitely recommend for business trips and also for tourist.
I found the hotel to be great for my needs as a single traveller. Some rooms described as small but I found mine to be a decent size. Bathroom small but adequate and shower worked well . Tea/Coffee making facilities in room and well stocked mini bar. Found some noise from police/ambulance sirens, otherwise little travel noise. Tram stop a couple of minutes walk away giving easy access into the city centre. Lot's of variety at breakfast but found scrambled eggs to be not piping hot. Will use again if travelling to Budapest.
Although our room was on the 8th floor we could still hear traffic as hotel is surrounded by a busy network of fast roads. There was a very frequent and disturbing noise of sirens right through the day until very late at night. On the plus side the hotel has a lovely well maintained swimming pool and even has a bowling alley. There are also pleasant terraces and shady gardens if you want to sit outside. We found that some of the reception staff had a bit of an attitude problem but most were helpful. Rooms were meant to be modern but needed a bit of TLC. Marks and stains on the walls are just not acceptable. You need to get bus or tram to get into the centre. The bus stops close by. The journey into town can be slow due to the amount of traffic but is not that far from most of the sights. Recommend seeing the poignant Holocaust shoe memorial to murdered Jews which you will find on the banks of the Danube.
The room is exceptionally small, two people can not normally move around the room, the bathroom is only for one person, the smaller toilet never saw before, the unpleasant smell of moisture from the bathroom. The bathroom does not have a toothbrush cup (it has a small glass of thin plastic). At the reception they say this is the Novotel standard, a good joke?aA breakfast 3.12. from 09.00 to 10.00 there was no fresh bread, there were no clean cups of tea.At breakfast, it's not most important if you have goulash or not.
Great Access Point: 2min walk to MOM Park Offices + shopping center (incl. nice variety of restaurants, & grocery store), 2min. walk to Alkotas Ut tram stop for fast public transport connections throughout city. Rooms: Spacious, clean, practical layout, quiet (good sounding proofing for quiet rest) Customer Service: Very professional, polite, attentive staff; fast check-in, fast check-out; very friendly staff throughout breakfast area. Dining: Breakfast area was definitely upgraded since my last stay, great healthy options (many fresh fruit & vegetable offerings); bright, friendly, attractive new display areas; fast coffee & tea options. Would recommend for business stay in area.
Although the hotel is located outside commercial and tourist areas, Novotel Budapest City is still a good choice in this wonderful city. It is easily accessible through numerous bus and tram lines that go through the great palaces of Buda and impressive attractions of Pest. From the hotel, one could go straight right at the door of the Central Market with a short bus-tram combination. The hotel itself is decades-old but it was evident that improvements are constant undertaking. As such, the hotel has an upbeat and chic atmosphere that contrasts with its rooms which, in my opinion, need to undergo the same works for theme uniformity. Nevertheless, my room was comfortable and clean and had complete amenities. My only suggestion is for the hotel to provide more “real” pillows on the bed instead of throw pillows to augment the two (had a stiff neck on my 2nd day). The breakfast restaurant had good selection but can still be improved with a little imagination. The casual restaurant though offers excellent choices either for lunch/dinner or nightcap. I will surely think of this hotel next time I visit Budapest.
