Had a nice stay in Leonardo Hotel Budapest but I really don’t consider it a 4 stars standard hotel. Doesn’t have the touch of a 4 stars. The hotel restaurant is ok but the portion of the steak I’ve eaten was REALLY small for the price I payed ... Breakfast was mediocre, specially for a “4 star hotel” and the staff working in the breakfast check-in, checking who had breakfast included or not was really not friendly. Should have a more professional and friendly face in that position. The door of my room was VERY HARD to close properly, almost insecure for safety. Besides that had a good stay in this 3 stars hotel, not 4 stars.
The breakfast buffet was our favourite, it was so fresh and absolutely delicious. The room was very spacious and the bed was so comfortable. The location is not very central but we really enjoyed an hour walk or a short taxi ride to the inner city. The only down side is the blinds in the room are not black out blinds so, we did get waken up by the light very early each morning and from a 4 star hotel it would’ve been nice to have black out blinds and enjoy a lay in. Overall very pleasant stay and the staff were all so friendly and helpful! Thankyou got making my trip so enjoyable.
We stayed here for two nights. Freezing cold in Budapest, but the rooms were really warm. The heating could be controlled too. The room was cosy - quite small, but plenty of storage, big enough TV and free WiFi. The bathroom was a good size with shower only and toiletries available. The water was always very hot. Breakfast was buffet style with everything from cereals, smoothies, warm food and pastries. Brilliant. A very quiet location, and slept very well. The staff were friendly and helpful. All in all, a great stay and recommended.
Very friendly staff and a very nice hotel! We stayed here for 3 nights and if we had a question they did absolutely everything to help us. The breakfast was also really great. We had a very nice big room (first we had a little room but we mentioned to the staff that there was a lot of noise, so we got an upgrade!) So if you looking for a nice stay here in Budapest, leonardo hotel is low priced and a very good hotel!
The Hotel is located within very easy reach of tram lines 4 and 6 and the M3 Metro. Located in a quiet partially pedestrianised area near Mester Utica. The rooms are on the small side, but perfectly adequate considering the location. Being in a pedestrianised area, it’s reasonably quiet during the night. It was a very cold time of year to visit - January, but there was more than adequate heating in the rooms and public areas of the hotel. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Being slightly out of the centre of Pest, the restaurants weren’t too touristy and offered better value for money. The reception staff were always very polite and helpful, as were the staff in the restaurant at breakfast time. Breakfasts were excellent with btht hot and cold offerings, sweet and savoury items available, A real bonus were the delicious smoothies that wee freshly prepared each morning, Whilst some mornings were very busy, all of the breakfast items were well stocked and replenished quickly, if needed. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for a leisure or business trip.
The Hotel offers good value for its price. Room was a bit narrow/small but clean and the beds were excellent. Breakfast buffet was well assorted although they could do bit better with the coffee and bread.
The hotel is situated in a good place, i rate this hotel a 3 star hotel, it does not have a parking place for a biger car ( sprinter). The room is not that large, but the beds are very confortable . The breakfast is good. The Hummus bar in the lobby serve good cheeskace.
Good place for tourists!! We enjoy the breakfast. The rooms are comfortable. Then location its nearest to main historical places. It’s waking distance to great views. We recommended. The attention of the personal are good.
I would not recommend this hotel. Only good thing was that we didn't have to walk for ages to get to the conference venue (university). The rooms were dirty and my room was also too hot: I complained about this three times and they promised to fix it, but maybe they just should have said there's nothing they can do. Especially the heat in the bathroom was unbearable. Breakfast was moderate, they had better gluten free bread after the first morning. Hotel buffet dinner was very poor, we had to go eat elsewhere.
Great hotel in great location. Almost in the centre and very close to the centre by walk. Hotel is very nice. But equipment of the room is little bit old. Rooms are very big and we were surprised about it. In the room you have bottle of water, coffee and tea free. We appreciated it. Hotel has underground garage but its very expensive. They want 17€ per day. Also breakfast costs 10€ extra/day/person if you have no including your stay. So its also quit expensive. But breakfast is really formidable. Huge amount of different kind of food. I travel a lot and this was really high standard of breakfast. Also check-out is 11:00 so it was also nice. I can say its fantastic hotel if I compare price/location/hotel level. If I will come to Budapest again I will stay definitely again here. Quit old equipment in the room, very high price of garage - 17€/day + quit high price of extra breakfast - 10€/day/person. Also bad communication between staffs of reception and breakfast staffs. We didn´t have breakfast including our stay, we had to pay extra and they didn´t want to let us to go to breakfast in the beggining and there was chaos between communication of staffs how to arrange it for us. They didn´t know where we need to pay it.
