The space was lovely and had great beach access. We were irritated by all of the cleaning requirements we were sent when it was time to check out, given that we were charged a $110 service fee when we booked the place.

This rental is one of the best on the market. If you have not stayed at The Seagate, you should really look at it for your next trip to St. Simons. Everything that you need is within walking distance with a beautiful beach with access point right at your front door. The view from our room of the ocean was amazing to wake up to everyday and listen to the ocean waves every night. The evenings were spectacular to watch the sun set over the water.

Property was good location, across street from beach. Unfortunately it was very plain and dated. Floor electrical outlet in middle of living room was terrible tripping hazard. Unit and complex should and could be special. Needs updating and fresh coat of paint. Also, does not have an oven. Not ideal for longer stays. Either install or add air fryer.

Bait and Switch Melting Pot

What we booked was not what we received. The view of the room we booked was a second floor, inside corner with a partial ocean/pool view. The room we received was on the third floor and side of the building facing a home under construction with the associated noise that woke us early our entire stay. The HVAC system would not cool below 73 degrees with all shutters and blinds closed. We were only there for two nights but definitely not happy with the bait and switch on the room and lack of cooling for what was at least a very large condo.

Everything was good, except the elevator was having repairs one day & my mother in law was with us who just had back surgery & she had to climb the stairs to the 3rd floor. We were disappointed in that. But everything else was great.

The positives are it is in a great location and walkable to the beach and about 3/4 mile walk to the pier, restaurants and shopping. The pool was nice and clean. There is convenient covered parking and management company very responsive. The rooms are dated (older kitchen and bathroom) and the furniture was worn. I understand that some units are being renovated so that may help. We had plenty of room for four of us with two queen beds in a decent size bedroom.

Husband’s Birthday weekend getaway

The place was amazing. It was right across from the beach with a view. Easy to check in and out. We got email around 2:30 our unit was ready. Lots of restaurants within walking distance that were amazing. We ate at Fiddlers, Iguanas, Crab Daddy’s (Fried Grouper Fingers) and Southern Soul BBQ. Will definitely recommend and add to my favorites

Peaceful Retreat

The room was very nice. The sink outside the bedroom needs new washers on the cold AND hot controls because both poured water if they were turned on. We just used the sink closest to the shower. TVs were nice, with Comcast just added in all rooms at the facility. View of the ocean was GREAT! I would recommend this to others.
