Beautiful outlook, pleasant stay
We had a pleasant stay at this hotel which is in a lovely location overlooking the lake. The room itself was quite basic but clean, and while the bed was comfortable, the footboard made it feel a little small. The shower pressure could have been better. The highlight was definitely the view, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
One of the main reasons we booked, however, was because Hotels.com listed the property as having an electric car charger. On arrival, we discovered that it only offered standard outdoor plug sockets, not actual EV chargers. Since we were using a hire car, we only had a regular charging cable and not the slower charging option required. We believe this was an error on Hotels.com’s part rather than the hotel itself, but we also met another guest who had booked under the same impression.
The hotel’s location is also worth noting—it sits high up on the mountainside, with access via narrow, winding roads. This can make driving there quite tricky! Alternatively, the property is reachable by cable car, so it may be easier to park by the lake and bring luggage up that way (only approx a 5-10 min journey). If we were to visit again, that’s likely the approach we’d take.
