My husband and I decided to do the Eurostar from London to Bruges to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary and wanted a nice hotel for 3 nights which wasn't too expensive and not too far from the centre of the city. Hotel Olympia ticked the boxes and was a great find. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the shower in the ensuite bathroom nice and hot. Our room was at the end of the corridor on the first floor and the only slight negative was the sloping ceiling over the foot of the bed. However, I don't think the other rooms would have this problem. We felt €12 each for a continental breakfast was rather a lot so didn't include it in our stay but we enjoyed a cup of tea in the bar area later in the morning which was nicely presented on a shabby chic tray with mini chocolate Easter eggs which were a nice touch. The staff were very friendly and helpful with ready smiles and cheerful waves as we came and went over the 3 days. Once we had orientated ourselves we found the walk to the Smedenpoort took less than 10 minutes and about 15 minutes to the train station (the back entrance). All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to use it again if we come back to this beautiful city.

Great location, 10mins walk to centre. Parking free in public carpark, 2mins from hotel. Newly refurbished hotel, very clean, good room facilities. Nice bar area. Breakfast room although didn't use. Staff exceptional. You will not regret choosing this hotel.

Looking for a cheap weekend getaway to Brugge we were visiting on a budget and welcomed the competitive price for staying at the Hotel Olympia. The hotel is typically european and dated, however there is free weekend parking nearby, staff are helpful and speak good english, and the beds were very comfortable. Would recommend to friends but stress that it is dated, so if you're looking for comfort and cleanliness on a budget with no frills, then this is ideal to you. Another plus - in walking distance to Brugge,

Nice, quiet hotel. It's pretty basic - your standard door key leading into a bedroom. Our room had two beds pushed together which wasn't an issue for us but might be for some. There is really no frills with this place at all but if you're just looking for a place to lay your head it will do! Staff are really lovely and you are only about a 15 minute walk into the centre of the old town and it's quite a direct route. Honestly, I would recommend it if you aren't fussy but for someone who enjoys their comfort and the finer things in life it might not be for them.

Just back from a two night trip and had a good stay here at this budget plus 3 star hotel. Yes the rooms and some of the general areas are outdated and room lighting is very poor with low wattage bulbs. The hotel is tired but we understand is due a modernisation in early 2018. The positives are clean rooms, comfy beds, clean linen, always hot water and central heating very good and individually controlled. The staff at reception were very helpful and happy to give information and advice. Our included continental breakfast was perfectly satisfactory. I saw various contradictory comments regarding the distance from Bruges centre but can confirm from the hotel to the Markt, which is pretty much in the centre, is a 20 minute pleasant walk. It's about 15 minutes to the actual start of the city centre. We went to see the Christmas Market which was very disappointing but Bruges is a lovely city with so much to see and do. Be prepared to spend plenty as it is not a cheap city at all.

For the price of the hotel I was disappointed, very damp smell in the room everyday. Beds were ok but my girlfriend went for a shower and due to the bathtub being very old she slipped in the shower and badly injured her back which ruined Brugge a little. The staff were however quite friendly and helpful but defo wouldn’t stay here again. Has to be better options elsewhere

It is very easy to reach from the train station(10-15 minutes walk),and from the hotel to the center is 15 minutes by walking, people in the front desk is always kind and helpful, rooms were very clean, hot water 24/7, good quality, good price! We hope to our roads shall cross again, Derya&Yagmur

Furniture dated and worn out, dark corridors at most of time as you need to switch lights on every time you walk through them, which I found very annoying, especially at night time. Hard to imagine it's a hotel in 21st century. Some of staff are extremely helpful but others quite rude. Quite a distance to walk from the train station or to the city centre. You MUST drive if you want to stay in this hotel!

I stayed here for 4 nights this September and had a perfectly pleasant time. Bruges can be quite expensive so I wanted to stay somewhere relatively cheap and I got great value for money. Room was very clean, comfortable big bed and towels were changed every day and I had no complaints regarding room. Wifi was good. Location, was a 10min walk from the city centre which was absolutely fine, a nice walk to get there and easy to navigate. I didn't eat at the hotel as breakfast was expensive at 12 euros a head and there were so many bakeries nearby. Overall a great place to stay. Not very modern or luxurious but perfectly fine, cheap, friendly staff and no problems at all, exactly what I would want from a hotel.

The hotel was ok, nothing special if I'm being honest. However, the man at the front desk was exceptional! Super polite and helpful with everything. I was really greatful for how accommodating he was for me and my other guest.
