For the price of the hotel I was disappointed, very damp smell in the room everyday. Beds were ok but my girlfriend went for a shower and due to the bathtub being very old she slipped in the shower and badly injured her back which ruined Brugge a little. The staff were however quite friendly and helpful but defo wouldn’t stay here again. Has to be better options elsewhere
It is very easy to reach from the train station(10-15 minutes walk),and from the hotel to the center is 15 minutes by walking, people in the front desk is always kind and helpful, rooms were very clean, hot water 24/7, good quality, good price! We hope to our roads shall cross again, Derya&Yagmur
Furniture dated and worn out, dark corridors at most of time as you need to switch lights on every time you walk through them, which I found very annoying, especially at night time. Hard to imagine it's a hotel in 21st century. Some of staff are extremely helpful but others quite rude. Quite a distance to walk from the train station or to the city centre. You MUST drive if you want to stay in this hotel!
I stayed here for 4 nights this September and had a perfectly pleasant time. Bruges can be quite expensive so I wanted to stay somewhere relatively cheap and I got great value for money. Room was very clean, comfortable big bed and towels were changed every day and I had no complaints regarding room. Wifi was good. Location, was a 10min walk from the city centre which was absolutely fine, a nice walk to get there and easy to navigate. I didn't eat at the hotel as breakfast was expensive at 12 euros a head and there were so many bakeries nearby. Overall a great place to stay. Not very modern or luxurious but perfectly fine, cheap, friendly staff and no problems at all, exactly what I would want from a hotel.
The hotel was ok, nothing special if I'm being honest. However, the man at the front desk was exceptional! Super polite and helpful with everything. I was really greatful for how accommodating he was for me and my other guest.
The hotel has friendly staff. The furniture of the breakfast room is old and worn out. We stayed two nights. The location of the hotel is fine. To the city center is a short walk and you can park your car for free near the hotel.
A 3 star hotel located in a pleasant suburb & probably a 30 minute stroll from Bruges (Brugge) old town. There Is no car parking facility at the hotel. On street parking is in a disc parking zone, prior to 6.00pm there is a maximum 4 hours stay, (when hiring a car, companies supply such a blue disc - similar to a disabled badge). However approximately 200 yards away is limited free parking. Main entrance was not wheelchair friendly, a couple of steps but no ramp. Small hotel reception area. Staff pleasant, polite & helpful. English spoken along with other European languages. Small bar off the entrance/lounge area is pleasant, clean & tidy. Small selection of bottled beer, wine & spirits. Small outside area to the side of the hotel with tables & chairs, but this is where a vehicle is also parked (presumably the proprietor), therefore not particularly condusive to sitting & relaxing with a drink. Steep staircase to the 1st floor. Unsure if there is a lift. Corridors & bedrooms are very dated with dark red carpets & brown woodwork, furniture is dark brown “flat pack” design. Adequately sized room, comfortable bed(s) - 2 singles pushed together to make a double, clean linen, plump pillows, large window which brightened the room. In our room water marks on ceiling/wall & wallpaper peeling. Small free standing flatscreen TV. WiFi. Bathroom very small & cramped. Mini bath with shower thereover & plastic curtain, dark brown tiles & woodwork, there is a hairdryer. Good water pressure. Rooms cleaned daily by the same lady whom organises the breakfasts. Breakfast/dining room was pleasant, bright with tables & chairs well spaced. Continental breakfast: Toast, croissant’s, various meats & cheeses, fruit, yogurt, orange juice, coffee, etc, etc. The only hot food on offer was hard boiled eggs. I felt a little pricey at €12.00 per person per sitting. This hotel really does need modernising & lifting into the 21 Century. This venue is okay for an overnight stop or short stay where it serves its purpose. I understand children are catered for & pets are welcome. Check in: 2.30pm. Check out: 10.30am. My wife & l were disappointed with this hotel & will not revisit this venue.
Hotel Olympia offers great value for money. Whilst it doesn't offer private parking, there is plenty of room in a nearby public car park where you're best to leave your car as the hotel is only a 10 minute walk to town centre... And what a beautiful walk it is too! The staff are really lovely and willing to help with any info, the rooms are old school but very well maintained and impeccably clean. The room in which my partner and I stayed had a small en-suite but the room itself was a lovely size, it was very quiet and sufficiently warm. The only suggestion I can make to improve guests' comfort is the addition of a kettle with complimentary coffee/tea, however the hotel we stayed in in The Netherlands didn't offer them either so perhaps it's just how they use it in these regions. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and would recommend this little hotel to anyone visiting beautiful Bruges!
Perfect!!! This is the hotel to stay at. The service people everywhere were very friendly and polite. The hotel is very clean, relaxing, lovely stuff and a very good brakefast. Great location not far from the train station and about 15 min walk to the centrum.
The hotel is small and located in a purely residential district in the suburbs of Bruges. It has a well-stocked breakfast room where the person refreshing the items also cleans the rooms. There is a small bar which is jointly run by the receptionist. There are toasted sandwiches and a few microwave meals available at any time of the day or night. On one side of the hotel are homes; on the other is a pedestrian path to other estates. Outside, the road is largely quiet but two bus routes serve the local station. There is a small side patio with table and chairs for around eight people which is also the parking area for the owners. There is only road parking for guests. The hotel is two kilometres, roughly, from the central square, the Markt, which, for the average retired person, means a walk of around half an hour in each direction. Thus, for an evening meal, means a walk of an hour on top of the time for eating. There are plenty of taxis and the hotel can arrange these for a return fee of 8Euros, Done privately, it costs twice that. Other hotel guests can share the taxi and hence the cost. The hotel is small and friendly and away from all tourist areas. It is fine for able-bodied and those who like walking but not for the infirm unless they have additional mobility transport, such as a wheelchair. Apart from the occasional bridge, Bruges is flat and quite suitable for non-powered wheelchairs. For the town centre and all the tourist amenities, it is a little far out, unless you like walking.
