I spent a weekend with my family in this faboulous hotel. The atmosphere is charming, elegant and very comfortable. The location is perfect to visit the city and enjoy the old center of Bruges. Only the rooms downstairs are a little bit disappointing, next to the reception and facing the street but costing the same price of the beautiful rooms upstairs.
Weekend break to Bruges. Stayed at Hotel de Orangerie, which was a quick stroll to the centre of Bruges. Had a beautiful room with ensuite, espresso maker etc. Would highly recommend this hotel. Parked in one of the many municipal car parks for 8 euros per 24hr period.
We could not have been more pleased. Our room was beautiful and extremely comfortable, the staff knowledgeable and helpful, and the location is perfect, just a few steps away from the Markt and situated along a picturesque canal.
This is a nice hotel in a central location so you can park your car. It is a typical boutique hotel with lots of old world style. The room we had was a bit strange with not place to hang anything in the bathroom and a quirky a/c system. The furnishings are an attempt to look like antiques, but many are cheap garage sale leftovers. Location sells this place plus a great staff and quiet drinking area that stays open late.
From entering the door upon arrival until leaving we felt like being in a fairytale world, being treated like a kind and queen. We celebrated our wedding anniversary having the afternoon high tea served to us in the magnificently decorated lounge room. In the same place the lovely breakfast is served in the morning. We absolutely loved the decoration style, the eye for detail, the perfect location of the hotel right in the historic city center and at the same time in a very quiet street. Would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone looking for a romantic place with good old high quality service.
Hotel very good other than issue with our shower. It did not have a wall attachment which made showering difficult. This would have been workable, but the shower itself leaked a good deal near the handle causing a great deal of water to go onto the bathroom walls and floor. This was brought to the front desk attendant's attention, but she offered no resolution which was disappointing. Otherwise, room was comfy and food/beverages were pretty good.
Spent 3 days in Bruges and had a great time. Stayed at the Hotel de Orangerie and was pleasantly surprised by how much everyone in our party liked the hotel. I made the decision to stay there based upon the information provided by Trip Advisor. That was a good idea.
We loved Hotel Orangerie and would go back in a heartbeat. The location can't be beat - right on the canal, and one block away from the bell tower and town square. Each room in the hotel is unique and ours was lovely - we especially loved the newly remodeled bathroom with an amazing rainwater shower. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and be sure to splurge on the breakfast at least once - it was amazing and gives you a great view of the canal.
From beginning to end our short stay was a pleasure: professional and welcoming staff at every step; a comfortable, quiet, and spotless room; and an outstanding breakfast in a sumptuous room overlooking the canal. We would not hesitate to return or to recommend the hotel to anyone.
Very nice and excellent location of this hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful, rooms extremely nice. Can really recommend this hotel to all. Had a lovey stay and the evening was magic, will for sure come back. Peter
