Steps from Bruges Markt, yet still in a quiet spot on one of the most beautiful parts of the canal. We were given a free upgrade when we checked in as well. The restaurant and bar is such a great room to sit for a pre dinner cocktail. We loved our stay here!
Great boutique hotel in centre of Bruges. Position is perfect for a visit to this town. Hotel is wonderfully furnished and the rooms were perfect. Got an upgrade to canal facing room which was a real bonus.
Stayed 4 days...staff was efficient but when I asked if they could recommend any restaurants when I had just arrived they gave no specific places just a vague directions to the markt...apparently the centre of bruge... was not helpful at all. We eventually found some good restaurants really close to the hotel. Overall though it was a pleasant stay.
A really lovely hotel. The location is fantastic, with beautiful buildings and a canal as your neighbours, and just a short walk to the market square. Cosy, nicely decorated rooms and a lovely lounge to admire the fire and sip a drink. Lovely breakfast with very good pastries
Cosy boutique hotel. Excellent location in central Bruges overlooking the canal. All main attractions and restaurants within walking distance. Comfortable and beautifully furnished room, lounge and breakfast room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Free WIFI.
We had a wonderful stay the Hotel de Orangerie this weekend. The room was first class - having been newly refurbished ( The Michelangelo room) and the service was marvelous. The restaurant for breakfast is stunning as is the lounge with its real fire and sofas. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.
We were recommended this hotel by a colleague of mine for our stay during our honeymoon. I made our reservation through booking.com for a standard room and noted we would be on our honeymoon during our stay. Upon arrival, we had a rental car and since the hotel had listed they had private parking available, we had to loop 3-4 times before realizing the parking was in a nearby public garage. After we parked, we checked in to find out we were upgraded! Yeah! We were very excited, only to find our room was just behind the front desk, and although we were given a "Heritage Room", we faced the street which was not all that much of an upgrade to us. We would have much preferred a canal room (which they had available). We decided to make the best of it and left to explore. When we asked about food at the hotel, we were told they don't serve any except breakfast (not even room service) - another downer. That evening we entered the bathroom only to find an EXTREME mold smell omitting from the sink area. We told the front desk and they said they would look into it the next day. The next day we both took showers and I sprayed some perfume to try to overtake the mold smell. After both showers, we noticed the shared wall between the bedroom and bathroom was completely wet (even the wallpaper was soaked). We got ready for the day and immediately told the front desk again of this issue and also suggested this could be causing the mold smell. Again we were told they would look into it and that the bathroom was "new". In addition to the issues above, we heard people walking above us all night, people talking at the front desk, etc. etc. Our room did not feel private at all given the location inside of the hotel. That being said the property is very charming and the staff (although not very helpful with the bathroom situation) was nice and cheerful. I cant say I would recommend this hotel to a friend as I saw many others that looked much more updated than ours. But we stuck it out because we didn't really feel like moving.
Beautiful hotel with excellent staff (particularly the front desk), in a perfect location. It helps if you can get a discount on the room rate though, not sure it would stand in such good favour had I paid the full list price for the room.
Wonderful "hygge" stay in very pleasant and central hotel. Cannot wait to come back in summer and enjoy the garden on the canal. Close to museums, church of our lady, belfry, fish market. Gin selection in bar is excellent.
Small but very charming hotel in the city center. Cosy rooms and exceptional setting. Extremely friendly staff. The breakfast buffet offers a wide range of products from chocolate rolls to cheese and local products...and all that with a view on the water. The fake but ultra realistic open fire gives an additional warmth to the room! Fantastic stay! Thank you!
