we stayed here for 3 nights Aug 13, 14, 15. We agreed to stay in nearby apartment because of double booking. We'd like to have been told before we arrived. Apartment was fine, but had 44 steps up to door. Hotel room for 2nd and 3rd nights excellent, but didn't have a/c. Shower over bath was not good. Staff were very friendly and most helpful. Breakfast was excellent - all freshly prepared. I'd recommend this hotel.
The location of this B&B is perfect for exploring Bruges. The bed was incredibly comfortable and if it was twin beds put together to make a double we certainly couldn't feel the tell-tale split in the middle, which made a very pleasant change. Very peaceful (we had a top floor room) and a lift in the B&B was very unexpected, but welcome. Bathroom had bath and shower. Room also had a safe, tea/coffee making facilities and a good wifi signal. The owners are very helpful and pleasant and appreciated our basic Flemish! Breakfast was nice & plentiful, with a choice of cereals, fruit juice, fresh fruit, bread, pastries, yogurt, cheese and meats. Coffee and choice of teas available. We have stayed in Bruges many times, and only returned to one B&B, but this will be one that we will certainly return to. Lovely touch was a small gift of chocolates on departure. The underground car park closest to the B&B was full when we arrived, but great value, so we parked on the ring, which is free and a short walk to the B&B, so not a problem as we only had an overnight bag. The room felt a little tired, but it wouldn't stop us from staying again. Breakfast room was a little cramped, with the serving area quite close to tables. Maybe a mini-bar in the room, or at least a fridge, would have been nice. The full-length mirror was fixed to a wall in a position that couldn't be accessed, so not much use really.
Quaint small hotel with a gracious engaging host! The room was comfortable and located just a 5 minute walk to the center of town. The breakfast was filling and of high quality. Easily one of the friendliest stops we had on our European journey! The price was great too!
Owners friendly, nice decoration and clean room. We stayed two nights with our two children who at 14 and 12 loved the fast wifi !! Great location two minutes walk to the central old town. Parking in Bruge only problem as we had a top box on car so couldn't go in any of the underground car parks so had to park 15 minutes walk away but it was free!
Good value for money in a clean comfortable convenient hotel. Staff friendly and very helpful. Would stay again. Secure parking available nearby for under 10 euros per day. Good continental breakfast. Very close to all major sights.
Great location two minutes and you're in the center and at the same time quiet street, great sleep. The presence of elevators, steep stairs common in Belgium ,so that's a plus.Coffee and cocoa for Breakfast were super. The room has a kettle, tea, cream. Breakfast as in all Europe the same ,but not stay hungry. The room is not large but cozy. The room is furnished with antique and interesting. Ample heaters if one goes cold ,then it is important. Plumbing fresh, everything worked. Special thanks to the owners. nice people, always ready to help, suggest where to walk, where to eat. We printed our boarding passes. This hotel rested with body and soul. like everything, there is a proposal it would be in the room to put those little refrigerators, because dinner at home, chill beer, etc. if I came again would stay in the Hotel Botaniek only.
The location is excellent...in the heart of the historic district...an easy walk to the market, shopping and restaurants. The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast room was delightful and breakfast was plentiful. Great coffee. The staff was helpful and very friendly. My wife and I made the 27 minute walk from and to the central train station with backpacks and rolling luggage without a problem, though it made a little noise due to the stone sidewalks. There is an elevator in the hotel. There's no AC, but the large windows open and there was a nice quiet fan. Modern bathroom.
Great little independent hotel, if not a little basic in places, but very quaint. It's set just off the fish market, so a great spot for exploring the city. The couple that run it could not have been nicer!
Great stay in Bruges! The hotel was full of character and although it is in an old building the rooms were very clean and quite comfortable. The host was super friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was delicious (yummy hot chocolate!) and filling. This small hotel was one of the highlights of our European journey!
Excellent hosts, attentive, friendly and nothing too much. Real value for money and superb location. Brugge is a great city break, lots to see and do and not just chocolates, waffles and famous Belgian beer, although it's hard to resist!!!!
