We stayed at the Hotel Aragon for two nights during UK Spring Bank Holiday. The location cannot be faulted as it is just a few minutes walk to The Markt but in a quiet side street. We had a large family room in Aragon House which was behind the main hotel. The room was spacious and well decorated. It even had a little kitchenette. The sofa bed for our child was big and comfortable . Unfortunately our twin beds were too soft for us to be really comfortable. The bathroom had all the amenities but strangely no towel rails or hooks to hang our towels making it impossible for us to reuse them the next day. Reception was friendly and efficient in fixing an issue with our air conditioning promptly when reported. Breakfast was great with cooked and continental options. We thought the price was a steal at €376 given the location, the room and the breakfast. Will certainly stay here again when we come back. Tip: there is a secure car park 25 meters from the hotel which cost €8.70 per day.
We stayed on a two night stay. The hotel is located approx 5 minutes walk from the central area, just be warned the streets are all cobbled which was uncomfortable walking for the ladies with heels The hotel staff were very welcoming and the room we had was very clean and modern, we even had a small balcony overlooking the car park! Breakfast was superb and a very wide choice of options. The reception staff were very helpful with suggestions for local restaurants and things to do/see. We even found BBC tv on channel 38!
Lovely hotel just behind main square. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms spotlessly clean, comfortable beds. Breakfast was plentiful a good choice of continental and cooked as well as numerous pastries, much more than we expected. Really nice lounge area to relax with a nightcap after a days sightseeing, would definitely staff here again .
Hotel Aragon is fantastic! The staff was friendly and helpful, and the facilities were very nice. The location is perfect - a few minutes' walk to the market square. Parking is difficult in the town, so reserve a spot in their parking lot if available.
First time visit to Bruges and the Aragon Hotel so didn't quite know what to expect. However, we were very impressed with the hotel - it's location is just minutes away from the main market square and all other attractions (but located in a very quiet side street) so was a perfect base for our stay. It was refurbished a couple of years ago and everything was pristine. We were upgraded to executive rooms (something that has never happened to us before) and these were superb with a small private balcony complete with table and chairs. The public areas were similarly impressive including the large dining room where breakfast was served. This included cold cuts, cereals, breads and pastries alongside hot English style breakfast. All the food was fresh and delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming and happily suggested a couple of restaurants and bars that we tried which were very good. There is nothing to fault with the Aragon; the room rates are very reasonable and if you're planning a trip to Bruges put this at the top of your accommodation list.
Easy to access the various lane ways and their restaurants, shops and sites. The staff were friendly and helpful with their tips, sharing their local knowledge. Should you stay in for breakfast it is well set up but I would recommend you eat out for meals as there were so many choices.
We stayed for only one night in the hotel but it created a lasting impression, which is also a reflection of our memorable experience in the picturesque, quaint city of Bruges. The hotel location is perfect, two blocks away from Markt. We were upgraded to the Aragon House around the corner, which was a huge apartment that can accommodate 6 persons. We also liked the street where the hotel is located because of the cobblestone roads and Gothic structures seen from the front of the hotel. This is truly a gem of a city!
We were overall impressed with the hotel. Our room looked as though it had been refurbished. Everything including the carpet looked new. Bathroom was lovely with a powerful shower. We could have done with an electrical socket next to the bed to charge our phone. There was one on one side, but not the other. Breakfast was basic, but good. There could have been more choice of cooked breakfast. I was disappointed that the hotel doesn’t provide soya milk, as I am lactose intolerant. For a 4 star hotel, I was surprised by this.
I booked this hotel to celebrate my wife's birthday and our wedding anniversary ,on arrival we were upgraded to an executive room. The hotel was spotless and the staff were first class.breakfast was excellent as was the room.In spite of the hotel being quite busy it was very quiet. The hotel is just a short walk from the market square so is in an ideal location. The Hotel Aragon comes with the highest recommendation from us .Thank you once again to the superb staff who made our first visit to Bruges so memorable.
Stayed here with my partner for the night, the hotel was lovely and clean. The staff on the front were quick to deal with any problems we had. The location itself is ideal being just a short walk to the square. Would absolutely stay here again if ever we return to Bruges.
