Quite grand with antique style furniture and marble bathrooms. Chose a room with a view over the canal. Very professional and responsive staff who helped me a lot when several things went wrong during my trip. Location is walking distance from everything there is to see in Bruges. Outstanding breakfast buffet. Cosy bar area with armchairs and an open fire in winter. Bus to the train station stops right outside.
This was our second stay in Small luxury hotels group and 2nd disappointment, no need to say there won't be the 3rd one. The hotel is nice but this is all I can say. Lobby bar and restaurant look very nice but the rest is simply boring and desperately need some decoration. We booked a room which looked much bigger than the one we got. Our room (1st floor with a canal view) was tiny and needs renovation. Parking is overpriced - 30 euro per night (there is a public parking 300 m from the hotel for only 9 euro per night). WiFi was very slow. Advantages: great location, friendly staff
We booked a last minute holiday in November and although I'm fussy we were't too sure what we would turn up to as there are many hotels to choose from. We drove from England and it was easy to find..even though the sat nav took us through an underground carpark!! We arrived and parked at the secure parking at the rear of the hotel and were welcomed by the friendly and attentive staff. The hotel overlooks the canal. The hotel looked beautiful and very Christmassy. Our room was large and furnished with quaint antiques (bathroom a little small) we had two beds but one was big enough for the both of us. Our room had a canal view and what I thought were dated windows.. that let in a bit of outside... we later discovered from a boat tour that the hotels has history and the windows are part of the original construction and charm. The breakfast was fantastic..I loved the bubbles! a great choice and their was of course chocolate. The bar/lounge areas were beautiful and welcoming and the spa wonderful...will definitely return as we loved it!
We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights before Christmas. The room was very clean and comfortable as was the bathroom. The room and bathroom were cleaned each day. Tea and coffee making facilities very welcome and when we asked for some more milk we were given a small jug full which lasted the length of our stay when put in the fridge that we had in our room. Pleasant, friendly accommodating staff. Car secure in a gated car park. Hotel in superb position for visiting centre of Bruges. We did not try the breakfast as we ate locally instead. We hope to go back in the New Year.
We recently stayed a couple nights in Bruges and stayed at Hotel De Tuilerieen, a place we very much enjoyed during our visit last year. We were just as happy with the hotel this time around and will happily consider them during future trips to Bruges. Reservations were made by way of booking.com. Email confirmation was received immediately and we were well received upon arrival. Our room wasn't ready upon mid morning arrival. However, front desk staff gladly put our luggage in storage while we headed out for a bit of sightseeing and chocolate shop visits until afternoon check-in. On this occasion, we tried one of their canal view rooms, which was smaller yet equally as atmospheric as our room from last year. Furniture and decor are of a real and true Old Europe feel, creating a charming place to rest up in between sightseeing around the city. The room includes two separate windows which opened up to outstanding canal views below and alongside Dijver Street. Seeing the Belfry in the background and hearing the bell chimes was also rewarding. Room included adequate closet and drawer space. TV, heating, kettle and wifi all worked fine. Bathroom was nice. Unfortunately, the shower water temperature wasn't stableon the first night. On the second night all was fine. This was the only minor inconvenience we encountered during our second stay at the hotel. Location wise, you can't really beat Hotel De Tuilerieen, which is less than 5 minute walk to the Grote Markt, Burg Square and other smaller sightseeing areas. There are restaurants in very close walking range to the hotel as well. Lastly, the walk in from the train station is only 15-20 minutes depending on how many times you are distracted by the beautiful scenes of the city. Alternatively, a taxi ride is no more than 5 minutes. In the end, this was a second very good stay at Hotel De Tuilerieen. They did everything necessary to warrant further stays when we visit Bruges in the future.
Really really lovely hotel with great atmosphere. Front of house staff were brilliant and we would def. return. Good location and rooms done beautifully. Been lucky enough to stay insome nice hotels, but this was one of the best. Thank you for a lovely stay.
We stayed at this delightful hotel for two nights. The building was beautiful and looked so pretty decorated for Christmas. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfy, there were tea and coffee making facilities, TV with English channels, safe, bathrobe & slippers and the bathroom and toiletries were good. The wellness area is very relaxing and we had a lovely sauna and swim. The location of the hotel is great for Bruges centre and just a short walk to the main market. We had a few drinks in the bar in the evening which was very cozy. The staff are lovely and so helpful. The parking is in a safe gated car park at the rear of the hotel. We didn’t have the breakfast. An excellent hotel and we will definitely visit again.
We booked a room overlooking the canal and were very pleased with our choice for an anniversary long weekend. The hotel is beautiful, well positioned and the room was excellent too. The visit was marred because we had no access to the internet in our room and lodged this with the front desk each day. Their only suggestion was to come down to the lounge and their excuse was that the hotel was busy. On leaving, on the Monday morning, we mentioned this to the front desk and escalated it to the manager - Kristoff. He was dismissive of the problem, suggesting that we actually go to the room and prove it wasn't working! Ownership of the hotel is not readily available, otherwise I would have written to them.
We stayed 3 nights in November 2017 in this hotel. It was a nice hotel with a great location. We really like the breakfast area and the bar with a fireplace. But while we were staying one night my husband got sick with a high temparature.I asked the reception for a paracetamol and they said they have no medicine in the hotel. I really don’t understand why they don’t have any kind of medicine for hotel guests for emergency situations. It was a saturday night and there were no pharmacies open which close to the hotel. I think they should think and be preaperad to these kind of situations in the hotel...
Comfy, spacious rooms. Beautiful breakfast room, cosy bar. Need to update their website and have some proper photos taken as I was so close to not booking. Glad I did. All the Christmas decorations were out when we arrived which made our stay even better.
