a superb and stylish hotel, very spacious and stylish room, friendly and efficient staff, excellent breakfast, nice bar, hotel in city centre within easy walking distance of main attractions, would heartily recommend this hotel
We only had one night stay here, would of liked more but were heading home. Easy to find car park behind electric gates. Warm welcome from the reception team, bags were taken up to our room. Room was lovely and clean, we had a view over the canal, complimentary water, tea and coffee. Bath had shower over and there was a seperate shower cubicle. Bed was very comfy, would love to come back for a longer stay.
We went to Brugge to spend our first wedding anniversary and of course, we stayed at this hotel. Being an ancient mansion and one SLH hotel, in front of the cannal, and we found a very good deal for a good room type, we thought was the logic option for us. Well, shame on the hotel. We didnt pay for the worst hotel room they had. In fact, the room picture they offered was very different/bigger from the one they gave us: very tiny, low ceiling. Although we told them about the anniversary and all, we had to stayed there. I think they were sold out and we were screwed. So make sure to book the right room type and bring the picture with you. And fight for what you paid. We didnt fight about it because i didnt want this to ruin my weekend anniversary. We stayed there and chill. But of course, they were not going to escape from my comment here in trip advisor.
Simply Splendid! It was a Perfect place for my Mother's 63rd Anniversaire! We loved the facilities, the breakfast (home made) and the excellent crew! Bruges is, moreover, a magnificent setting... Ana (Bruxelles)
The Hotel is situated in the heart of the old city and is a perfect base to explore the area. From the time we were greeted we were properly looked after by the staff. A few years ago the general manager refunded us in full, despite the fact the hotel didn't have to when we cancelled a booking at the last minute. With this in mind we were not surprised by the level of service which was superb. I would recommend paying the little extra for a canal view room. The staff know the area and their recommendations for local restaurants were spot on. I cannot recommend this hotel strongly enough. 5 stars without reservation
We only stayed one night but had a great experience. Very spacious room overlooking the river, extremely comfortable bed and a luxurious bathroom. Service was impeccable at the reception. It's a shame we didn't get to try the breakfast but would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Bruges and would definitely stay there again!
Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Quaint alley in the back and canal in the front. Our group had booked five rooms and four rooms had beautiful comfortable decor with extra chairs and/or sofa and the fifth room - needed a little updating, but came with a private outside sitting area. The staff was extremely friendly. Loved the breakfast room - with plenty of choices, along with delicious pieces of chocolate. Free wifi, free water, and received a free drink coupon in their bar area. Only complaints - would be that there wasn't conditioner and no place to set the soap in the shower. Would stay here again.
Our daughter bought us a break in Bruges for Christmas including 3 night stay in the hotel. Lovely first impression, nice reception area really helpful check in including where to go, and lovely cosy bar, and great location. Room was large and very pretty with generous en-suite, and very quiet, it had everything but the view. Such a shame, would have liked some aspect save for a rooftop and brick wall. Breakfast not included so unable to comment. Would defininitely return if ever in Bruges but would certainly request a room with a view!
Calm atmosphere. Beautiful cosy lounge area with a fireplace, where you can relax with a glass of wine or food even at 2 am. Late night staff was especially accommodating. Breakfast setup is somewhat unusual, where it feels like you are going to their kitchen, however the diversity of breakfast items is more than satisfactory. Breakfast staff could use a bit of patience or calmness though, as their energy is not really in tune with the hotel. Location is worth mentioning, as the view on the canal was absolutely beautiful and you can walk anywhere, as it is very central. We didn't get to use the spa facilities, but the size of their pool seems rather small. Perfect for two people, I suppose.
We were in the Tuilerieen for a night. The welcome was perfect. Our room beautiful and quiet. So we were very happy. But then the next morning every thing went down the drain. 40 seats in the breakfast room. No food left at 1030, breakfast is served until 1100. Table were not cleared after previous guests and we had to clear ours. There was only one young girl to refill the food, clears the table and... cook omelettes and scrambled eggs for guest. My wife went to reception to ask if someone could come to help her at least to clear the table. But the woman behind the front desk seems to think very highly of her status and clearly would not lower herself to help waiters. She answered to my wife, you'll have to wait. Absolutely outrageous in a place where you're paying 400 euros for a room. I should had all customers were really upset. Why on Earth, someone can thing one person would be sufficient? A total disgrace, and a front desk dutch speaking woman whom has nothing to do in hospitality business.
