We had been driving all night and decided to stop at 4am to get a few hours sleep before we hit the road again. So I decided to book a room online, wow lets just say you really get what you pay for.. As soon as we entered the room a huge roach ran for cover above the bed, my husband isnt afraid of bugs so he grabbed it with toilet paper and flushed the roach down the toilet. The room had a weird musky stench, it wasnt smoke but stale almost moldy smell, we freshened up and left, Im glad we only stayed 2hrs not sure I would have been able to stay there all night. Never again will I stay here!
Stayed on a business trip for a week and not bad. Had ppl beggers ask me for money which i didnt like but other than that. A decent place to stay. Whay i liked most was the attractions around me like the movies and fast food restaurants.
I stayed here 1 night on a road trip. This is one of the best Motel 6s that I've stayed at. The hotel Motel had indoor corridors. There was a small lobby with a place to sit (I've never seen that at a motel 6). Our room was quite small with 1 queen bed and a long narrow desk on the wall opposite the bed. The room was either new or remodeled in a modern style. Everything was clean. The pillows on the bed were odd - they were shorter than a typical pillow. The air conditioning was quiet - an improvement on most Motel 6s. The front desk was helpful - they even provided me with an extra pillow, something I can't always get at Motel 6. For those unfamiliar with Motel 6 (and as a response to another review), Motel 6 is a budget hotel, so you will have a better experience if you set your expectations properly. They do not provide breakfast or bathroom amenities, such as shampoo or hair dryers. They charge a small fee for wi-fi.
We really were not sure after booking our room what to expect with the price being 50.00 but I might say we were pleasantly surprised. Extremely clean from the lobby all the way up to the 3rd floor. Our room was very nice and very clean. The beds are very comfortable, and the bathroom very clean. As well as the staff so very professional and nice. We only booked one night but decided to stay 2. We definitely will be giving our business to them from now on ! Glad we didn't listen to the negative comments ! If you want somewhere nice , clean and quiet stay here you won't regret it . You will be made to feel special by the staff as well 😁
Pros: Clean updated rooms, wood floors and new carpet in halls. Clean smell in halls. Friendly service. Cons: No irons, blow dryers, shampoo or conditioner. No coffee. Rooms are a little to humid and air wasn't working to good. For the price, probably wouldn't be staying here again.
Yes it's been recently remodeled. It's very clean and the beds are good. It's major problem is that it smells musty and is very damp. The air conditioning system is useless at drying the air and all your clothes end up feeling wet. Sorry, but I have to put this one on my "never again" list.
This hotel was completely redone but I still didn't like it. It smelled the whole time we were there. The pool was horrible and dirty. The rooms were really small as well. There was also a big bug under our sink. The only reason I gave it a two was because the staff was friendly. Spend your money else where even if it cost a little more.
I needed a place to stay due to a last minute trip to Brownsville and the kid at Denny's said this was a good place to stay. I should have come on Trip Advisor!!! Side note: get the app! The room was ok, it didn't smell bad like the lobby or the hallways and it looked clean enough, but when I pulled back the covers of the bed, there were hairs and stains on the sheets and what looked like bugs! I called the front desk and was given a different room. It didn't have hairs on the bed but it did in the tub and I found a fake eyelash on the floor! Needless to say, I won't ever stay here again and I don't recommend it to anybody. Pay a little more for a better, cleaner experience.
We stayed here on business for one night. The lobby was very clean, check in was fast and easy, and the front desk staff was polite and helpful. There is plenty of parking. It's right off the freeway with gas stations, plenty of restaurants and a mall nearby. As for the room... The room was clean. The bathroom was large had a nice sized tub. Bedding and furniture was outdated. Our tv was so small and only got 2 channels. The wifi is horrible. We also found a roach on the ceiling. It was OK for 1 night I guess.
The only positive thing we had to say was that the staff was very friendly and courteous. One room smelled like mold/mildew and had hair in the sink and counter area. The other room's AC wasn't working. None of our requests for extra towels and pillows were honored. They charge for WiFi, the beds were so hard and the pillows were almost nonexistent. I believe this motel has potential due to the great location but needs to be renovated.
