ABOUT YOUR HOSTS – by Barbara
Patrick & I were (and still are!) grateful & amazed at the good fortune that came our way when we acquired two 'diamond in the rough' coastal properties on the Southern Oregon coast that are right next to each other. Both sit on their own cliffside acre overlooking the vast Pacific Ocean.
We did not plan on being vacation rentals hosts - it just sort of happened - but we are glad it did because we are always delighted to share these amazing properties with our guests.
I was recently retired from a job in the medical field and Patrick had sold his real estate office when, in March of 2019, we found the coastal property we now live in while we on a road trip through Southern Oregon.
The house that is now our home had been on the market 5 years as part of an estate sale & it needed a lot of work, but we loved it the moment we saw it. **We made the best offer we could afford and our offer was accepted! The separate guesthouse that came with it became our first vacation rental.
Then in 2022 our elderly & very kind next-door neighbor, a widower, decided to move to Portland to be with family. His circa 1950 house also needed a lot of work. We were experienced hosts at that point and we knew the location and layout were absolutely perfect as another vacation rental. **So Patrick worked out a deal with the seller that included some seller-financing and we bought it. Then we put in granite counter tops, tiled showers, redwood decks, heated floors, bigger windows and much more.
Our objective was to create a magical space where people can come to relax in quiet comfort with lots of privacy & stunning ocean views. It worked out perfectly and now we love sharing these magical side-by-side properties with our guests!
Thank you for considering a stay with us while in Brookings. Patrick and I wish you safe travels and an enjoyable visit.
Sincerely, Barbara :)
PS. 1. No one has better coastal views! 2. Best price/value - nothing comparable at this price 3. W always treat people the way we would want to be treated ----------------------- ** Patrick wrote a book titled "Real Estate Investment Coach Secrets" for those interested in buying investment property. It is available on Amazon.

That View!
The view was so amazing. It was stormy and cold but I still felt surrounded by the ocean. Bathroom had heated floors that made such a difference after being outside. Love it!
The two corner rooms overlook the rocks and beach; you can't get closer to the ocean without getting wet. The rooms were cozy, well furnished with lots of extras such as complimentary bathroom items (Toothbrushes, floss, etc.), and games, heater, more blankets, coffee and tea maker, hairdryer, HEATED bathroom floor, and now my nightlight which I accidentally left. The breakfast part of the B&B was disappointing, as it was packages of instant oatmeal and little containers of Kellogs frosted cereals, and bottles of apple juice in the fridge. We expected something like the breakfasts we have had at other B&Bs which ranged from grab-n-go with lots of fruit and options, to an amazing sit-down breakfast. However, the room and view made up for it. The patio in front of our room is shared as was the library room next to ours, and we didn't get to use the library as it was being used several times by other guests doing meditation or some kind of door exercise. We recommend Panchos for really great Mexican food; many restaurants are closed Mon. and Tues. I recommend staying here in one of the two view rooms, and hopefully we will be able to do it again sometime.

As advertised - Awesome VRBO!
Look at the pictures. This place is 100% “as advertised”. One of the best VRBO’s I have ever stayed in! An exceptional value for what you get here.
I’m almost reluctant to leave a review advising how great this place is - as I want this place to be available the next time I’m in the area😝😆.
I must admit I was a bit worried a bit about “renting a room in a house type set up”… but this was nothing like that at all! The property is well segregated with an amazing library/common room, individual “apartments” and true “million dollar views” of the Pacific ocean.
The mgmt/ownership is exceptional. It is very evident they do not defer maintenance as the property is very well maintained. My wife and I look forward to our next visit (we will be frequent flyers to this location!).

A scenic masterpiece
The property was absolutely beautiful and the views of the surrounding coastline from our room, our private patio, or the common areas, were all remarkably stunning.
On the edge of beautiful ocean vistas, I did not want to leave the property. All else seemed anti-climactic compared to staying put and absorbing this unique coastal experience. I could live there!

Nothing short of amazing! Harris Beach one of the most beautiful anywhere and the cliff top view was wonderful. The owner’s hospitality was over the top as well. It is a great place to get away and focus on a true miracle of nature. We had the best time ever for our anniversary.

This is a beautiful property with outstanding views, yet still centrally located to town. The home has been remodeled into 5 units, 3 having outstanding views and the other 2 having easy access to the views with a walk to the large back patio. The owners have stocked each room with everything to make your stay perfect, private and cozy. Some of the BEST ocean views we've ever seen in Brookings!

Relaxing and Peaceful Getaway
My husband and I had an amazing 3 day/4 night getaway at the "Coastal Cliffs" property in Brookings. It was peaceful with a beautiful 180 degree beach view. We could see and hear the ocean from all 3 windows! The small closet kitchen held everything we could ask for including a small hot plate and microwave. Fresh coffee grounds, creamer, electric tea kettle, dishes, pans and napkins, along with snacks were provided. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was so comfortable. :) The bathroom was well stocked including extra toothbrushes and other traveling items if needed. All of our needs were thought of and then some. Patrick, the owner was on-sight and an excellent host. Thank you so much, Barbara and Patrick for sharing your delightful property with us.
