West End Central Apartments

Stayed for a business trip. Rooms are modern and clean. Central location in Southbank, cafes and bars all around. Easy check in / out. Pay the extra $20 for a carpark as parking is tight in that area. Would stay again.

Booked a two bedroom apartment for a few days to watch State of Origin III. Very happy with the choice of apartments, great central location, 20 minutes walk to everywhere, City, Southbank, Suncorp Stadium and with a great choice of pubs and eateries within 5 minutes. The rooms were quite spacious and well layed out, we had a huge North facing deck with a great outlook back to the city. Very clean, servicing was good and the staff very friendly and helpful. Highly reccomend

I stayed here for work purposes recently, and found it to be an average option for accommodation. Pros: good space for standard room, was clean, good tv, has onsite pool and mini gym (didn't get a chance to inspect these), no restaurant onsite but plenty of eateries nearby (Coles, Cafe 63 is a good place to start) and free limited wifi. Cons: don't get a room near the drive entrance or undercover carpark - you'll get the noise. A dump truck at 5am in the street is not pleasant. Pay for your stay upon arrival - wasn't expecting that. Short/not so friendly service that you'd expect for those who deals with customers and clients regularly. The freezer compartment in the fridge was a bit smelly. And test the shower when you enter your room. The shower I had fluctuated from my preference to burning hot. So hot you had to jump out of the way of the water! Thought this was a one off thing the first night, but it then did it every time. I mentioned it to the lady on reception upon checking out but she cut me off and replied 'yes we know about that. We have to change some fittings.' And that was it. If you know about it, don't put your paying guests in those rooms until it's been fixed!! Was highly disappointed and speechless at that reply. Lesson learnt for next time. I noted these on the comments sheet left in the room so hopefully improvement is noticed next time.

I recently went for a girls' weekend in Brisbane and we stayed at West End Central Apartments. The staff were friendly and very accommodating to our group. The 2 bedroom rooms on the top floor were spacious with a fabulous balcony on which to sit and relax after a serious day of shopping. Our rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable. Although a little dated, the place was nice and clean. It is so conveniently located - lots of great restaurants at the doorstep, quirky shops, walking distance to South Bank parklands and I even walked back to the accommodation from the city centre. It was surprisingly quiet on Saturday night when the doors were closed. Air con worked well. All in all, a reasonably priced, convenient place to stay for your city weekend.

Brillantley positioned in an awesome spot , close to shops many restaurants and public transport . Very happy with the apartment to , clean and nicely presented . Staff more than willing to help with any questions asked of them .

This hotel is just 3 blocks to the Brisbane convention center and South Brisbane station. You are a short bus ride to the CBD. The area the hotel is located in is one of the most diverse for food. Lots of choice within a 2-3 block radius which is handy as the apartments do not feature a restaurant on premises. The room itself was fine and it had a spa shower combo in the bathroom. You get a small minibar fridge, microwave but no place cook or was clothes in the room. Check in was quick and easy and they offer free parking when available. Overall a good experience.

Booked here for a weekend work conference but brought my family. We stayed in a 2 BR apartment with kitchen and washing machine which would have been great for an extended stay. Right in West end with great food options close by and walking distance to the convention centre, South Bank Parklands and public transport it was great for my purposes. There is free and easy parking via security card access and free wifi. My apartment had 2 bathrooms and toilets and a bath. Shampoo and soap are provided but bring your own toothpaste. Fortunately, convenience stores are just downstairs for all you need. Automated late check-in was convenient and easy. Especially with late flights! If you like stocking a fridge for food and special dietary requirements for your holiday and cooking then this is great for you. Oh and there is a gym, sauna and pool as well! I didn't check them out though. Would definitely stay there again.

The only thing going for this hotel is the spacious room and decent bathroom. Now for the negatives. Where do I start! Reception closes at 9PM. I arrived at 10PM and tried the 24 hour touch screen check-in, but found with only an eftpos card on me that I can only check in with a credit card. So onto option B: the duty manager phone. After holding on for 30 minutes, getting cut off and being told that a credit card is the only way to check in, the duty manager called the on-site manager who came down to check me in. She was really helpful and friendly it must be said, even though I probably interrupted her dinner or tv show or whatever she was doing to relax after work. The hotel in general is very run down and dirty. The room also had a strange smell, almost like stale dogfood.

These apartments are located in a fantastic convenient position. Supermarket and restaurant choices all within easy walking distance. The staff are extremely accommodating. The beds are comfortable and the rooms clean. Great air conditioning and heating. On site pool, spa and sauna all very welcome to unwind. Free wifi. Love watching the refurbishment take place. Thank you.

We stayed for two nights on our way to the Sunshine Coast. Whilst the apartment wasn't ultra modern, it was clean, comfortable and in a great location. West End offers numerous bars, cafes and restaurants as well as off-beat fashion stores. The apartment was perfectly located for a ten minute walk to the city centre with the cultural precinct of galleries along the way. Would definitely stay here again.
