It is clean, comfortable and a great location to stay when seeing a show at QPAC. Check in was a little slow but only because they had a new system, staff were very polite and friendly. Carparking was free, room was clean and comfortable and well stocked, it even had a minibar.
We had a nice stay here. It was easy to find from the airport. Check in was simple and parking was included. The air condition was great. As was the wifi. The room was small but clean and that's all we needed. We were just a short walk to the city centre and south bank
My husband and I visited Brisbane with our 3 girls (12 & 9 yo twins) & stayed at West End Central Apartments for 3 nights. Unfortunately our visit began on a sour note with a rather brusque check-in experience. We were pleased with the size of our 3 bedroom apartment; very comfortable for a family. I would suggest though that in the bedrooms, in addition to hanging space, drawers would be very helpful. I have to agree with another reviewer, that the water temperature is an issue; the hot was extremely hot in all the taps, dangerously so in the shower. Some of the fittings in our apartment were coming loose, especially door handles & in the fridge. The cleanliness was also somewhat disappointing. A cursory clean each day, but mold in the shower & dirty sinks were not what I expect. And the balcony is part of the apartment & should be cleaned. The kids enjoyed the pool. And the proximity to restaurants, the Cultural precinct & Southbank is a positive. Overall, a good place in terms of space & location for families to stay but some improvement in staff interactions & cleanliness would greatly improve the experience, especially for those of us who travel frequently. A little more effort & a lick of paint would help the ambience, as would removing the cigarette burn from the couch!
We were on level 3, the room was very comfy, the QS bedroom was quite small but we weren't there during the day so it didn't affect us. The single bed was a real bed and not a sofa so quite comfy and our teenager slept very well. The A/C works really well, limited foxtel channels to select from but again not in the room much so not an issue. The kitchen was well stocked and the bathroom was quite a god size also with washer and dryer in there. Only a 15 minute walk from Southbank so perfectly situated to enjoy NYE and all the food choices down there.
This was a well rated apartments on trip advisor. That helps to be honest and it certainly met out expectations and more. It's serviced apartments so our room was always clean after a day of being a tourist. Our apartment had a kitchen, laundry and dryer. It's very cosy with air condition and everything of the home comforts. Balcony with table and chairs. Nice size pool, hot tub, sauna and gym. The receptionist was very friendly. The location is perfect by cafe's, bar's and restaurants. There is a small little mall 5 minutes walk and a cole's supermarket. 10 minute walk to South Bank, where the river and all the public transport boats. Huge Ferris wheel and so much more. Don't want to spoil the surprise. Planning on taking my family back next year. Awesome location
I recently stayed in a studio apartment. It was nice, very well kept and clean. However the walls are paper thin. On my second night here I had to deal with a couple fighting in the room next door and I could hear everything - so this damped my experience. Otherwise, a great location. Close to lots of great eats and walking distance to Brisbane city.
Spent Saturday and Sunday nights in a one bedroom apartment. Close to lots of restaurants and transport and the apartment was clean roomy and well equipped. Parking was undercover and secure plus the staff were friendly and helpful. Good value and will definitely stay again.
My boyfriend and I have stayed here twice for business trips and visiting family. We love the convenience of being within easy walking distance to the cafes, restaurants and bars in West End and South Brisbane. It's worth noting that even though your dining choices are numerous in this area you also have the option of charging meals back to your room at a handful of cafes and restaurants very close to the apartments. The apartments themselves are more spacious in comparison to those that were recently built and most hotel rooms. We loved having the extra space while we entertained family and friends in our apartment. There's also an outdoor pool area, complete with sauna, hot tub and BBQ. Which we made good use of for entertaining in the warm weather. We've found the staff to be friendly, efficient and very helpful at all times. The complex is older but is kept clean and tidy by an attentive housekeeping crew. Some light sleepers may find apartments facing Edmondstone Street can be a little noisy at times from traffic and early morning garbage collection. I'm quite a light sleeper, we stayed on the 6th floor, and while I couldn't hear the driveway traffic and only just heard the garbage collection. Which I considered only a brief and minor inconvenience in exchange for having a big balcony. It's a good all round choice!
Have been very impressed with this place! I am here with my 3 year old son, my mum and aunty in one of the two bedroom apartments. I highly recommend this apartment as it has so much room and it is self sufficient which is good if you are here with kids. Location wise, perfect! 10 min walk to Southbank or 20 mins to the city. Would definitely return if I ever came back!
I recently spent four nights here on business to attend a conference at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. The apartments were perfectly positioned a short, flat walk from the centre and into the Brisbane CBD for a spot of shopping. The apartments are surrounded by a great selection of restaurants and cafes so eating out is great if you choose not to use the kitchen. Apartments are well appointed with kitchen and laundry facilities but I didn’t use them. The bed was comfortable so I slept well here. Recommended.
