Comfortable, spacious and good value. Rooftop pool. Loved it all.

Nice hotel. Clean and well managed. Only downside was not having any chairs for the balcony :( Also central station is about 10 min walk. Worked out great.

Great friendly staff and very clean. Liked proximity to park.

Overall very good, very friendly and helpful staff. Bar snacks are very good.

Pros: Hotel is very sexy, clean, nice decor and easy to access elevators/stairs/rooms/services. Elevators require key card....safe! Beautiful gardens next door just around the corner. Not far to walk to Mall and a few other popular places. Cons: It is on a hill, so if you are doing a lot of walking then it is rough returning. The pool was heated to about 24/75 degrees. This is very uncomfortable for winter time. I was really hoping to finally get to swim during my 18 day stay in Australia on my final 3 nights staying at this hotel. But it was way too cold and windy! Very unhappy! The TV did not have subtitles and the movies to purchase were limited. I only found ONE movie I wanted to watch, but since there were no subtitles, I couldn't watch it. *hard-of-hearing* I didn't like any of the restaurants nearby and the in house restaurant was a bit pricey for me. However, the pork chop was delightful!

The mattress was old and springs were coming through. The walls were dirty and marked

The location of this hotel is very good. It's near the beautiful garden, the railway station and downtown.

I feel the advertising for this hotel was extremely deceptive because it was NOT WIRELESS - contrary to their advertising saying High Speed WiRELESS. Also, they charge over $30 per day for internet access over an hour. After I just about broke my back and legs on their super uncomfortable desk chair and voiced my concerns, the manager brought me a wireless modem and explained that wireless is available in their lobby. In my opinion, their lobby is not conducive to doing productive focused work. Additionally, I didn't consider this hotel to be a 4 star hotel. I felt the room and bathroom and lighting and bedding and creature comforts were 2 star. Very disappointing. The building is older, shabby, just not high quality at all. Very low quality place that has a great sounding regal hotel name but a horrible experience that is the exact opposite of what their name implies. I felt like I was in a prison cell.

The hotel had nice rooms and great views. It was near a park and was a nice walk to the river. I would recommend this hotel to others.

good location, nice rooms, nice views [...].

the Hotel Chancellor was not easy to find (especially at night) and the rooms/services did not duplicate what was shown online nor in the brochures. The Hotel was ok, good location and friendly/helpful staff...but the gym/pool was closed for renovations (which was not mentioned in the reservation information), and the furniture/linens were not top quality.
