Beautiful grounds, wonderful staff. The weather turned violent and it was impressive how the staff all worked together to keep up with effects of the storm and updated guests. They offered indoor activities and were available to help if you needed them. The pools, hot tubs and waterfalls were truly beautiful and we could see whales most days from our balcony.

This is NOT a five star or even a four star facility: (1) a five star facility does not have a twenty minute lineup at the check-in desk; (2) a five star facility has daily room service, not once every three days; (3) a five star facility has a fully functioning concierge service, not some vacation timeshare salesperson doubling as a concierge; (4) a five star facility does not have mismatched furniture in the living room area of the suite; (5) the underground parking for your rental vehicle – it’s a jungle down there! The one truly five star feature is the hotel staff: they are hard working, truly professional, helpful and pleasant people.

Rooms were spacious, beach was beautiful and pool was warm and clean. Communication could be improved though. When we checked in, we were told our room would to be cleaned on Sunday and Wednesday but the cleaners showed up on Friday and Thursday instead. It would have also been nice to have our room cleaned more than twice in 11 nights but was told when we checked in that more often than this would not be possible. We also stayed at this hotel during a 24-hour West Maui power outage. While the outage was not the hotel’s fault, even once the power was restored, it took hours for the hot water to start working again. We had friends who stayed at the hotel next door during the power outage who still had hot water the entire time. This would not deter us from visiting again, but was more inconvenient than anything. Overall we would go back, but not in Winter season when the threat of power outages is reportedly higher.

Room was excellent. Beautiful resort. Very comfortable bed. Would be nice to be able to see the ocean from the pool area-didn’t like the bushes obstructing the view. 1 of 6 working elevators for such a huge resort was ridiculous. I feel like half my trip was spent waiting for an elevator. Especially with so many people with disabilities staying there. If I was disabled I would have left to stay elsewhere and asked for a refund honestly. Power outage: would be nice to have some generators to at least power some coffee machines/toasters. Overall a beautiful place.

Staff were amazing. The hotel seems outdated. The room itself had shower water leaking from behind the tile onto the bathroom floor. The hallway in front of the room flooded during a storm and the carpet was soaked. There was construction going on at the time. The beach in front of the hotel is rocky and dangerous to swim in due to strong rip currents. Multiple elevators were not working. The washing machines and dryers were unsanitary and loud.

The support staff was lacking. I left an item in my room. I called Sunday (when I discovered the item was missing) after my Saturday check out. I spoke with Security. They said they could not check the room since someone was already staying in it. I called Monday and Tuesday trying to get in touch with a manager. No one called me back. Finally Friday I spoke with a Manager. She said they would contact the occupants and look for the item. I have not heard anything back! It was not an expensive item ($55 for 3 pairs of earrings). It is the principal of the matter ... no one cared enough to help me!

This resort is OLD, it hasn’t been updated in close to 30 years. The entire stay multiple elevators were down so it took a really long time to get up and down from a room on the 11th floor. There is no restaurant, just a marketplace with some hot food options, but food quality was mediocre.

The hotel itself was nice, pretty small but everything easily accessible. The pool was great. Lots of chairs get taken up first thing in the morning on a warm day so gotta get down there if you want “your” spot. The hotel ended up loosing power our last night and didn’t come on even after we left the next day- this was most of the west side due to weather so not the hotels fault. The beach in front of the hotel is very small. Could possibly lay out there during the day but it’s pretty little. Saw lots of whales!! Was awesome. There was a decent little gym there and some ping pong tables we saw

We rented a room with "Ocean Vw" and were given a room without an Ocean View. When we showed the representative our booking, she insisted that it was not available due to "owners" having those rooms. Her manager then intervened and moved us to the appropriate Ocean View room on our fourth night. So we received the room that e paid for on the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th nights of our stay.

The room was beautiful tons of room with beautiful views the pool was also amazing. However there is no valet no in-house restaurant, and parking is horrible
