Great hotel with easy access to river cat , buses and train if your an ok casual walker. Great walk to Tenerife and surrounding suburbs with excellent cafes and lovely tree line streets. You can get the ferry across to Bulimba and more bars etc. Just up from the hotel is racecourse road which you can catch the 300 bus just outside and enjoy more interesting shops, cafes etc. the Bowan Hills railway is a 20 min walk and takes you anywhere around Brisbane, we went to the entertainment centre from there.
From the concierge telling snippets of local history, nearby walks to front desk and kitchen staff, this stay was very relaxing. Easy parking, 24 hour room service and husband said best burger he's had in a long time (likewise my pizza). Funky artwork and interesting decor, comfortable bed and tho our room didn't have a river view, it was quiet, which was appreciated. We've stayed in some awful places prior to flights but this hotel is the one we'll now use every time we are in Brisbane. Sister hotels in Melbourne and Sydney should be equally good.
Quaint older style motel with boutique furnishings. Warm and friendly atmosphere, comfortable beds, reasonably spacious room. Saskia's full English breakfast delicious and she also produces dinner from her onsite kitchen. Breakfast served under a logia on comfortable wicker furniture with plenty of cushions. Saskia welcomed us on arrival and ensured we had everything we needed. There is a good choice of restaurants nearby and we can highly recommend the Thai one in racecourse road. It was the most authentic we have eaten at outside of Thailand. Can recommend this motel to anyone wanting somewhere handy to the airport at a reasonable cost.
A family of four we were up here to get away from the cold in the southern states during school holidays. My partner wanted one night best Albion Park Racecourse and the Valley. This place was perfect to tick those boxes. The high quality fittings and the bedding and furnishings were second to none in Brisbane. My 2 kids had desserts from room service. Both items were extremely well presented and tasted even better than they looked! Staff were attentive and one gentleman working at reception offered us an umbrella as we were walking out to go across the races. Thank you so much!
This hotel is simply beautiful! The reception area, bar, restaurant and especially the rooms!! We were gutted we only got to stay here one night as it was a stop over before we flew home as it was so nice and we couldn't enjoy it. Check in was straight forward, we arrived quite late following a delayed flight from Cairns but this posed no problems, everything was ready for us. Our room 607 (I think?!) was just stunning. Plenty of space, modernly and beautifully decorated, it wasnt far from a small apartment let alone a room. The bathroom was well designed everything sectioned off (baffled us why the wardrobe was in here though?). The little living area was lovely, and would have suited us if we had got the chance to stay longer as my partner wakes up way before me which meant he would have been able to go sit there and relax without disturbing me. And having the bedroom section seperate was nice too, with its own TV and a hugeeeee bed!! So comfy!! The view was perfect - river view - which we booked, I just couldnt find anything to fault this hotel at all. We paid to have breakfast and it was yummy, buffet style help yourself with everything you could want, overlooking the river too which was nice to wake up too. All the staff were friendly enough, polite and welcoming and offered us a late check in on our departure day as we werent flying till 6pm which meant we could freshen up before we left. Ideally located to the airport and easily accessible to the main part of Brisbane using Uber. No problems at all apart from not being able to enjoy this hotel/room for longer - definitely know where to stay when we ever make it back to Brisbane without a doubt!!
Loved the beautiful furnishings in this place. The rooms have a very unique antique feel about them with timber posted beds and vintage side tables. The bathrooms are so modern with a fantastic tile design. Really loved everything about this place from the view of the river to the complimentary apples in the hallways. Great breakfast too!
Maybe it was the very unsatisfactory welcome when arriving at 5am after an overnight drive. I've never been treated with such suspicion for turning up at a hotel. It seems "walk-ins" as I as called a second rate guess and have to pay in full on the spot. They also seem to get the room by the elevator with the carpark view. Never warmed to this place. It was like staff were only pretending to be helpful. Decided I would have a drink at 3pm. Walked into the open bar with two people behind the bar. Sat down to be told the bar is not open we are only doing a stocktake. Well put a sign up or lock the door! My aim had to just to chill out in the hotel but never felt welcome so spent elsewhere. Room was comfortable but experienced a lot of noise from the being next to the elevator and from plumbing in another room. Next day picked the family up and driver to Coffs. The resort had really good helpful and pleasant staff. It was a contrast from Brisbane.
Unit was very nicely renovated and the customer service was great! They served food and beverages by the pool. Pool however was a little dirty and had slime at the bottom. Nice location but Hamilton cruise ships and cheap Uber into the city.
The rooms are lovely, well appointed and decorated. Very comfortable beds. Our room included the buffet breakfast, a great selection of breakfast fare. As we had arrived back from overseas we had room service from the restaurant, delicious meal served very promptly. We will be coming back. Great Staff
Went along for an all day conference & had a wonderful day. From being given a freindly greeting at the door by a staff member and then into a clean and well presented room and provided tea, coffee & hot chocolate all throughout the day. Lunch in the hotel restaurant was yummy and staff we had interactions with were friendly. Left the day with a great opinion of the hotel!
