Great place in Brighton

Good location, plenty of space, lots of bedrooms. Light and airy but the spiral staircase to top floor a bit shaky to get luggage up but otherwise great.sea view from both top floor rooms and the shower room. Quite a hike up many stairs to get to there but you’d expect that of a top floor flat in an old building.

Plenty of “Shabby”, not much “Chic”!

This place was spacious and well equipped and was in a great location. If you are expecting a no-frills simple place to sleep, then it is fine, but it is definitely NOT hotel standard. If you are looking for high spec hotel finishes, this is not the place for you. It feels relaxed and cozy, like staying at a friends house, which will be fine for most people. However, the cost for us was hotel prices, and it felt a bit shabby and run down compared to what we hoped for. The photos on the site give it a “Boutique Hotel” vibe, and it is a long way short of that in reality. We were not disappointed, but perhaps a bit underwhelmed.

One of the bedrooms had plastic red bricks to cover the crumbling wall behind. The bedding was smelly and very creased but the other rooms were fine.

Close to Brighton Jetty, a lot of stairs, could have been cleaner especially the microwave and a top sheet on the bed would have been nice too so we weren't just using the comforter cover. Overall a nice place.
