The Cabins at Green Mountain3.0 out of 5.0

If you're looking for a place that is close to the main strip, yet offers peace and quiet, look no further. The Cabins at Green Mountain fits this bill to a "T". We stayed in Unit # 16, which is a stand alone unit that was right across from the vending machines, clubhouse, pool and exercise room. It is by far the most rustic resort we have stayed at with all the wood and iron decor. The screened in back porch of our unit had no hot tub but it did have a swing and chairs which was my (and my furgirls) MOST favorite part of the unit. We had a view of the woods and it was really nice and relaxing. There were several issues I had with this unit because of my visual impairment. 1) I had a really hard time seeing and focusing inside the unit because of all the dark wood and dark green throughout the unit. There was no color contrast to help differentiate the objects. 2) The lighting used was fluorescent and it's definitely not as bright as LED because the light would start off dim and then would eventually get brighter. I'm hoping the resort will change to LED lights in the future. This would be a big improvement especially for those who are visually impaired. Having said that, the unit location worked out perfectly for us. It only had three steps to the unit which I appreciated very much because some units had many steps leading into the units. There ARE some units that had NO steps and is wheelchair accessible. Kudos to the resort for taking that into consideration.. There were some landscaping lights that were out all week during out time there. My husband did mention this to the front desk when checking out. Overall, we would definitely consider staying here again because of the location.
Timeshare condos are hit and miss but Festiva nailed it with this place. It was extremely clean, well kept and the staff was quite pleasant. We ended up renting a 3 bedroom cabin (for just the two of us) but the rate was great. The cabin was well equipped, very quite and even had a private Hot tube on the screened in porch. No a bad kitchen, several TVs and a gas fireplace. The beds and bedding were so good, that when we got back home we bought the same comforter. This place is right off the main drag and only 4 minutes to and incredible Zip line.
We stayed at this property a few years ago in a three bedroom unit with six adults and were generally happy but thought for the money it needed updating. We reserved a three bedroom unit again and have the same comment. The units haven't been updated since and are showing wear.
We really have enjoyed our cabin, especially the screened porch with hot tub. Very relaxing sitting out there in the rocking chairs with a glass of wine. Nice little trail on property along stream. Very good accommodations here.
We exchanged a timeshare week here in August. I requested a 2 bedroom stand alone cabin that backed up to the creek and the office had no problem assigning us to one for the week. The property is older and has some maintenance issues, similar to some of the other timeshare properties we have stayed in. The pools and hot tubs (shared) were not as clean as they could have been. The good: Having a stand alone cabin was wonderful! The unit was very quiet with windows closed and a/c running even though we were close to the office and pool. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We needed a few extra items, such as kitchen towels and dishwasher soap and they gladly provided what we asked for. We purchased show tickets right at the front desk at a small discount. Having a screen porch was so relaxing at the beginning and end of the day. Beds were comfortable. Parking was convenient, right next to the unit. The not so good: The unit was in dire need of a deep cleaning. Thick cobwebs hung from the ceiling, dust was thick on all of the floral arrangements and light fixtures. The wood floors were so dirty that we had to wear shoes or slippers or risk very dirty feet. The living room furniture was old, dirty, uncomfortable and the chair had holes in the arms. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would consider going back. I did complain after we left about the cleanliness and was told that the unit received the attention it needed (dusting etc). I hope so but it never should have gotten to that point in the first place.
The cabin was very nice. plenty of room. But it was dark in the kitchen area. Loved the screened in patio area. The grills were not at each unit but in places on the resort. so were unable to grill. might take a portable one next time.
We stayed in a villa that slept 8...2 king beds, 2 twin beds and a sofa sleeper on 2 floors! This place was amazing! We arrived very late but there was someone there to greet us. Everyone was SO helpful. The cabins are in a woodsy setting just off the main strip. Easy to get to everything. Cabin came with a full kitchen (including dishwasher). The hot tub on the back screened in porch was just heavenly to enjoy each evening. There were 2 pools, a fitness room, clubhouse, vending machines, BBQ grills and great hiking trails all on property. I would most DEFINITELY stay here again the next time we are in Branson!!! They have handicapped cabins and pet-friendly cabins too. TIP: If you have trouble getting around, ask for a handicapped room. There are many cabins that are on a hill, although close to the cabin, it can be difficult getting in and out of the car, etc. If this review was "helpful" LET ME KNOW. Thanks :- ))
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. We had brought friends and they also enjoyed it. The people at the office were friendly and helpful. I hope to stay again in the future. Everyone was helpful when we needed information about the shows and restaurants.
We stayed in a three bedroom, two bath cabin. It was nice and clean BUT the air conditioning did not cool the two bedrooms and bathroom upstairs and it was miserable. So we stayed gone all day and didn't return until late at night. It was so hot upstairs my lipstick melted. They did check the air but said it was because it had a loft. I wish I had known this beforehand. I would never have paid this much for a cabin that was too hot to stay in. Downstairs was comfortable but it was hard for four of us to get ready in one bathroom. Might be a good place to stay in the winter but not the summer. If u don't mind being hot then it will be a good place to stay. But I cannot recommend this place nor will I ever stay here again. The two pics are the two bedrooms and bathroom that wouldn't cool.
We are in the middle of our stay and I just had to start my review! First of all, check in was a breeze! After a long drive from Texas I just wanted to relax. We checked in just fine and got up the next morning for the "Breakfast with the stars". This is a MUST DO! The breakfast was homemade with biscuits and eggs that were ridiculously good. I mean goooood! They have about 20 acts that come out and give you a preview of shows available in Branson. We booked 4 shows. This doesn't sound like a lot, but we already had tickets to 3 attractions and 2 shows....so adding another 4 shows pretty much filled our schedule up! Some of the acts that came out gave away free tickets, so that was exciting! This resort is fantastic! Once we leave, I will post the rest of the review as well as the cabin we are staying in. The AC is wonderful and we have a hot tub on the porch. The front desk staff is amazing and they booked 4 of our shows and were extremely patient! I would absolutely stay here again and my kids can't wait to come back!
