In my opinion this is a business hotel, ideal for one or two night. Not much in the way of facilities, good sized rooms, good quality decor. Reasonable value for money - breakfast is typical plenty of it
This hotel offers basic services, and by that I mean a room with a bed and a toilet. Sparce amenities in this location make it a value but do not anticipate any special services. Breakfast is the highlight of the stay but do not expect much from the front desk as they are limited in what they can offer. Scenic views of the Alps are nice and Bra is a quaint town with some fantastic dining options. Views are nice on a clear day but not compelling. Good stop on your way to somewhere else.
The hotel has nice surroundings but its about 15 min walk to the city centre. Very nice breakfast and in the restaurant is served traditional food from Piedmont. Large rooms. Free wifi. Pool, turkish bath.
After few days in BW Rovigo we came to BW Bra so I have to compare. It's prettier, newer, calmer. I think it's chosen rather for business trips. Our room was big, bright and clean, with nice view. Coffee corner also is here. Bathroom was really nice - fresh and clean with everything you need (hair dryer, cosmetics, towels, tissues). Great job! Reception warm and nice. What was dissapointing? Breakfasts. Bra is know from slow food so maybe I expected too much but I would love to see and eat fresh food. Unfortunetly everything was rather modern and aimed to quick-eat-mode. Fruits from can, jam in some disponsal containers, standard coffee from ordinary coffee and other drinks machine. Cakes and croissants were good. And service was unattentive, without smile, short "good morning". And this terrible card that you can't take anything with you from breakfast. Hate such things especially when you are with little kids that would love to take those packed biscuits as a souvenir or a snack for later. But comparing to BW Rovigo - maybe it's generally better but here- there is nothing remarkable (besides paper not allowing to bring food), after writing this review I will forget the hotel. From Rovigo I will remember our lazy, tasty breakfasts with great coffee and super nice lady serving the coffee.
Visited with wife as a member of a group. Rooms, especially the bathroom, are spacious. Clean, silent and good in all ways, but not what concerning AC. It was warm days at the end of May with outside temperature close to 30 deg. C. AC is on only from 5 PM until 8-9 PM, so it did get very warm inside in the night. No matter there are controls in the room, you couldn´t get cooled air in. Huge influence in comfort, when you cannot sleep as the room is too hot. Breakfast is good, service ok.
We paid 20€ for an antipasti with a plate of pasta. They served us the antipasti and the pastas in the same plate. The food was not good at all ! The quantities were so little we had to ask for another plate of pasta !
The room was spacious, modern and clean and comfortable beds. No problem with the WIFI. Stayed one night while on route. The included breakfast was a treat with plenty to choose from. Only negative was the access to the elevator from the garage. It is available but signage could be improved with directions.
We picked Bra as our base and the Best Western as our hotel to explore the Barolo wine district and to sample Piemonte cheese. We based our choice of hotels on advice from Trip Advisor and it turned out better than the reports we had read. We checked in on a hot Thursday to a large, spotless mountain view room that unfortunately due to the hot weather the mountains were in the mist. However it faced west and we did not get awakened by the morning sun. We had a few problems getting connected to Wi-Fi that the front desk ( Paula) pleasantly took care of. There is a large, secure, free and uncluttered parking garage. We ate in the hotel restaurant 2 nights out of 4 and it was excellent. Food was good, wine list consisting of many good local wines all fairly priced. The service was excellent even on the second night when 2 tour groups were eating. The manager ( Mauro ) set up a personal wine tasting in La Morre at which we learned all about Piemonte wines in a beautiful setting. He also suggested going to Saluzzo which we did and stumbled onto a Medieval parade complete with knights in full armor. It is a 15 min walk into down but if you have a car, the drive is easy with lots of parking near the train station. A large sport complex is across the street with a walking trail. A Co-op is 2 minutes away so if you decide to eat in it is no problem. The breakfast is one of the best we have encountered in 14 yr of Italian travel. Great choices with very pleasant servers. All the staff speak excellent English and are eager to help. One of the best cheese shops in Piemonte is located in Bra and well worth the visit. The town of Barola is an easy 20 min drive from Bra. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are exploring Piemonte.
Hotel Cavalieri helped make our group(of 40) 's stay in Italy memorable. Chiara at the front desk showed outstanding leadership and management skills. She was so personable and knowledgable we gave her a commemorative coin minted for this family reunion trip. Mario made sure every breakfast and dinner he ate was outstanding. Their breakfast buffet compares with Marriott Sunday brunches and Mario and he three ladies helping during our stay were smiling and helpful. A great hotel.
Our family of up to 50? people at one point gathered in Bra for a reunion, having discovered our Italian roots several years ago. Bra was our homebase for day trips to the surrounding area and this hotel perfectly filled the bill! Our rooms were spacious, quiet, clean and had beautiful views of the mountains. The breakfast was excellent and had something for everyone - our group included children as young as 3 years old and my mother, age 81. While it was not in the center of Bra, there was a convenient co-op grocery, ATM and pizza place nearby for a quick bite. A walk into the heart of Bra took about 15 minutes and was very do-able. The wi-fi was fine and the hotel provided us a conference room for a presentation on our family history. The front desk staff was very kind. Upon arrival, we had no set dinner plans and the hotel was able to come up with a group meal for us (around 24 people at that point) within 30 minutes. That meal, along with our pre-paid, pre-planned family banquet (where we had the full contingent of maybe 50 people) were both excellent! I would definitely stay here again!
