We visited the Piedmont area for the 10th time this year - and we are always happy to visit UVE for a late dinner in the lovely garden/yard. This is really something special. Very friendly service. Very good food. Please try the Grappa tasting ;)
This is a perfect place to stay in this region, and I loved it. The suite was quirky but large and very well-furnished. It was complete with everything that you would expect. I particularly appreciated the adaptor plug, and there were plenty of other sockets around the room, including easily accessible ones near the bedside tables. The cocktail making area, complete with its own sink was an excellent (and quite unusual) feature. The bathroom was small but very functional, with plenty of nice towels and a very good shower. It was also spotlessly clean. The staff were (without exception) wonderful. It’s rare that you meet a hotel team of such engaging, helpful and friendly people … and we were incredibly well looked after from the moment we walked in. Full marks. The restaurant was very nice, and there is an extensive wine list. A shout-out to Roberto and Luca, who looked after us all so fabulously. And also to Margherita at breakfast. I would dearly love to mention all the rest of the staff … but space and my memory do not allow! I can fault only the mattress on the bed, which was far too soft for my liking. La Morra is beautiful, and if you are interested in the wines and history of this region, this is a wonderful place to stay. I very much hope that I will have the chance to stay here again.
We had a delicious dinner at this restaurant, but we had to wait very long to get the food. Very friendly service. Nice place. Interesting art on the walls. Nice wine suggestions. Very hot in the restaurant.
Lovely hotel with attention to detail. The beds are huge and full of delicious duvets and pillows in the nicest linens. Bathroom is very refined with lovely products and lots of soft towels and robes. Personalized welcome letter and chocolate are just one of the things that are made a little extra. In the room there is cappotino and service for both the coffee and wine which can be enjoyed on the small cozy terraces outside your room. The restaurant offers refined food and a well-considered wine list. The service and standard of the hotel is so great that it doesn't make any sense that they are only awarded 3 star.
The staff and food here are great, and the rooms are very neat, clean and well appointed. The location is also great! The only reason I'm giving Uve a 3 star review if because it is loud. Uve is close to a church, and the bells ring every half hour. In addition, there is a winding staircase that creates so much noise at night. If other guests come and go, or check in late, you WILL hear them. While Uve is great, it is perhaps not the best option for light sleepers, or those coming in from different time zones when sleep is essential.
With so many wonderful places to stay in the area we found this to not be as special as we had hoped from the reviews. Room has no views except on to wine bar courtyard. The service for our short stay was fine. We did not try the wine bar . Parking in the public parking is a hit or miss.
My wife and I booked a wonderful stay at UVE for her birthday in March with our 2 girls (2 year old and 8 month old). The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our family. When we arrived they helped to arrange a beautiful flower arrangement, a bottle of wine, and a flourless chocolate cake for my wife. The room was perfect for our family we stayed in the Nebbiolo suite. The staff helped us with reservations every night, brought us breakfast to our room most mornings, and both of our girls came down with ear infections they were there to help us find a doctor, get medication, and gave the girls special treats. Also the wine bar is a perfect place to unwind at the end of a long day, great wine and apps. Thank you so much and we hope to see you soon!
After searching for a spot to dine, we chose Uve. We were pleased to find a relaxed setting with delicious food. The wait staff was attentive. The interpretations of traditional dishes were well executed. The wine list was much more reasonable to navigate, in comparison to other spots in the area. Our only critique was the “baked pear” dessert; it had incredible flavor & texture, but we were taken aback by the fact it was served cold. This is a wonderful spot that shouldn’t be missed while in La Morra!
Great location right in the middle of La Morra. We loved our stay here. Very, very friendly service. Stylish, detail oriented and new rooms. Charming breakfast in a beautiful backyard. We will be back definitely. Highly recommended.
Just finished a quick 2 day visit to the region with my longtime friend. She had never been to Italy and needless to say she was in awe at the beauty and the welcoming spirit of the Langhe region. UVE Rooms & Wine Bar just made the trip all the more special. It is a beautiful boutique hotel in a perfect location for exploring the town of La Morra and the entire region. We cannot say enough good things about the staff starting with the initial email contact to the morning we checked out. Elena and Grace were amazing and accommodated us at every turn, including packing a nice breakfast package for us to enjoy on our very early drive to the Milan airport. They gave us all kinds of great advice and made us feel very welcome. All of the staff went out of their way to help and make sure we were enjoying every minute of our stay. The rooms are very modern with great touches, but still feel very appropriate for the age and beauty of the town. The food at their restaurant was fantastic as well - there was often a line of people waiting to get in and enjoy the atmosphere and food. I can't wait to return and bring my husband to stay in this amazing place.
