Unfortunately, we could only stay at Jakobsberg for one night. I was delighted by the whole experience and would love to have had more time. The location was excellent. The river view was simply amazing. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The property was large, but felt intimate. We had dinner in the restaurant and morning breakfast. Both were wonderful. The wine selection was impressive. The staff was friendly and helpful. The weather was poor so we did not get to enjoy the grounds. I would definitely return to the Jakobsberg Hotel We were in the old wing - which was charming. There is a newer section with spa services which also looked nice.

My partner & I stayed here for 3 nights on our way back to UK. Although the staff are friendly, there seems to be no urgency in their work & perhaps could do with a bit of retraining. The restaurant was chaotic on the Saturday night, better Sunday & Monday but hardly any guests to deal with. Our room felt like sleeping in an office & definitely needed a facelift. Scuffed doors & walls, a broken wardrobe mirror, poor lighting, scruffy garden & basic bathroom accessories. Not really the standard I would expect from a 4* hotel.

The resort was in a quiet location with views to the Rhine. The golf course and practice area looked amazing. Unfortunately we were not there long enough to play. The food was simply DELICIOUS. Didn’t have one bad item. I would definitely love to go back for a round.

A 15 minutes curvy drive away from Rhein, offers great view and tranquility to its guest. The hotel has really spacious rooms with a comfy bed. The cuisine is typical german, quality food with less taste.

The hotel&golf resort is situated in a premium location with great views (Rhine river), close to Koblenz. Interesting history of this old monastery which was transformed into a hotel&golfcourse by the founder of "HARIBO". The *GOLFCOURSE* was a highlight and all the members of our golfgroup rated it "excellent"! The hotel ROOMS weren't up to every one's taste: too small, no decoration, bad lay-out etc. A major problem was the lack of competent dealing with technical&maintenance problems in the room (one of the windows didn't shut.../was "repared" by us, safe in the room didn't work properly... technician couldn't resolve the problem, when taking a shower I noticed that the showergeldispenser was empty!?... had to walk down to reception to ask for a "refill"/new dispenser?!... during our 3 days stay, the ELEVATOR was "out of order" during 2 days!? ...this seems to happen very often!) RECEPTION seems to be ruled by trainees... friendly but not very competent. RESTAURANT is huge, busy, noisy but offers outstanding views :) Our group of golfers had "buffet" on 2 consecutive evenings.... not a gastronomic highlight, but you survive. On the table you find a printed "menu"... but not everything mentioned is "available/refilled". BF was good. Special mention for the friendly "chef" at the egg-show cooking corner :) SERVICE in the restaurant was good. SPA..swimmingpool etc = clean, offered different nice wellness options (sauna, hammam...). With some efforts from managment (maintenance, technical problems etc) this could be a very good option for a chill golfbreak ... Price/quality ratio was ok.

Went on wellness weekend with 2 friends, we had booked 2 rooms. The spa (service and installations) rooms were so so, food and drinks (both in their bar and restaurants) was very expensive. Staff not always super friendly. I've been to better hotels in this area. Only plus is the magic scenery overlooking the Rhine valley

Recommended to everyone who is looking for relaxation but a lot of entertaiment including golf, swimming, bicycling. Superb food and excellent service. Rooms are top quality and spotless clean. Located on 150 hectars on top of the hill with great panorama. Haribo museum and shop makes it kid’s heaven.

Excellent stay, wonderfull staff, nice food .. super wellness. Wonderfull scenery and large pool area. Hotel situated in an old monestray, Nice bar with friendly Giovanni as skilled bartender, nice cocktails ! Beautifull views from the terrace. Spacious rooms and fair golf at the resort. Recommended!

The hotel is OK and that pretty much sums it up. Nothing stands out spectacularly, neither rooms nor service nor front desk. Hence the title of this review, you probably have to be an avid golf player to succumb to the charm of this hotel. There's one exception: the breakfast/restaurant area.Grab a window seat that will grant you a magnificent view of the river and the valley.

We had a business meeting there. The place is beautiful. Very nice view to the river and the valley from the top of he hill where the hotel is located. The room was perfect. The dinner and lunch were delicious. The staff were welcoming and helpful. And of course Haribo everywhere...that is awesome too. I could imagine to spend some days on vacation here.
