There is a steep slope from the parking to the hotel entrance. Revolving doors are not automatic and have to be pushed while carrying luggage. Hotel looks very outdated Reception was not very hospitable. Room was quite new, but the bed was awfull, back pain after a nightls sleep. Towels are old. Wifi in our room not workable. No airconditioning. Fridge not working. Breakfast had no glutenfree bed readily availble nor soy milk or lactose free milk. Had to ask three times and wai5 10 minutes in front of the kitchen . Coffee en tea facilities were not automarically refilled, had to go down to reception to get tea the second day of our stay. They say this is their practice. In the room no hotel information at all. When leaving the room at 1.30 pm we were told that rooms are only cleaned before 1 pm. This was however indicated nowhere. Second day no aminities, no bottled water. We left the hotel one day early because of all the issues and no customer friendly approach. Staying in hotels all over the world between 150 and 200 nights per year this early departure for such reasons only happens once a year. .
The location is nice and there is sufficiënt parking space . The hotel looks outdated and it needs renovation. The diner buffet for 18€ pp was disappointing. The taste was good but the presentation could be improved. And the kitchen had problems with the supply which resulted in empty trays of food. The staff looked very uninterested and unmotivated. Breakfast buffet was good. Nice coffeemachine for cappuccino . Juices, mineral water and tea for self service. The garden is beautiful
I feel I need to reiterate here what other guests before us have said. It is a Shrine to the 1970's it does need updating - the sight of the derelict pool is an eyesore. The whole building does need lots of repairing. Be nice to have the top floor restaurant open. Booking.com have this Hotel listed as 4 star!!! Mmmm The grounds are beautiful as is the breakfast no complaints there. Staff pleasant, kind and helpful. We had an evening meal which was superb from the bar at the front.
We came at around 8 oclock in the evenig. When we saw the room, we were 5, we were positively suprised of the big size. There were 2 balconies. Clean room and big clean bathroom. Beds were good. Breakfast of best quality. WiFi alright. Outdoor area where you can walk in huge garden. We also had a beer, wine and softdrinks in the bar which we enjoyed. Superb Hotel.
Organizing group business trip, Wyndham garden hotel was one of rare hotels available for bigger group accommodation. Excellent service and support from @Dominik Meurer, Conventions Sales Coordinator enabled our group a pleasent visit to Koblenz.
The room was so small that you could barely move. No air conditioning, at least not in our room. They did not even have enough ventilators for each room. And the bed was somehow smaller than a normal 2 people bed (in order to fit in the tiny room) so eventually, with something around 40 degrees outside, one of us had to sleep on a bedsheet on the balcony (dirty) floor in order to not melt. Apart this: when we entered the room we found someone else's pee in the toilet (which was also pretty dirty, so maybe it was leaking dirtyness in the water). In general the structure feels almost abandoned to its destiny, and it's slowly falling apart - especially the balcony where you can see many suspicious fissures. The panoramic restaurant on the 15th floor is closed, as well as the pool, that you can see from the room and that is empty and in ruin. The price list for the massages that is in the elevator still says "welcome 2017" (in 2019) - a Little detail that tells you a lot about how this place is run. Most of the people working there speak little to no English, either. The breakfast was nothing special but compared with the rest seemed almost fine. There were no tables for everyone, though, and we had to wait. Also, most of the buffet was empty. The candy on the cake: on the first evening we went to a restaurant and ended up having some leftovers. When we went back to the hotel, as there are no fridges in the room, we asked the staff to keep our leftovers in the fridge for us. When we asked them our food back, it was not there anymore. As I said: AVOID AT ANY COST
We only had one night here following a short cruise on the Rhine River. The hotel is massive, both evening meal and breakfast were both excellent. Beautiful gardens in a forest setting, ideal for walks and a very good well stocked bar and good service. The hotel is a few miles away from the town, but has great views and very quiet at night.
This health center must have been top in 1972 when it opened. Since then large parts of the thalasso have been closed and some rooms are still in the original state. A wonderful experience for nostalgics. Positive is that you can stay in a beautiful park for the price of a youth hostel. Food is good but drinks are expensive. Waiters are professional and make you feel really welcome (hi Maurice 😉).
We spent a night here while on a Expat tour. Nice updated room, although a bit small, had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Great views over the village from our room, there are balconies. Nice gardens in the back to wander through, yet the bugs drove us back inside. Giant chess sets to play with. The only odd part and mystery is trying to figure out what the large 'mall' type attached to the hotel. Looks like it used to be a large conference hotel, but now most of the suites are empty. A bit away from the town, so you get a bit trapped, but wonderful country hotel.
A very good affordable hotel in a forest near Koblenz, Rhine Valley area. Excellent buffet dinner and breakfasts provided. Rooms are standard hotel rooms, well equipped for comfort. Pity we only stayed here one evening.
