Our hotel rooms were big and materials were high class.Extra plusses for the big refrigerator, coffee maker, balcony, and quietness of the room.We also had a long cource dinner at Le Chopin, which was good.Great memories!
This hotel delivered on all fronts. We had a room on the first floor and wanted to be on a higher floor. This was no problem and were moved after one day of our 4 day stay. The breakfast was fresh with plenty of variety. Dinner in Le Bristol was also delicious. The staff were helpful and courteous. A fascinating location with river traffic constantly providing interest directly in front. The period features of this hotel added to the overall ambience, typical of a bygone era.
We wanted to take a day cruise and explore this area of Germany. The Bellevue Rheinhotel is in a perfect location right on the river and we were across the street from a cruise dock. The staff was friendly and professional and the rooms were clean and comfortable. This is definitely a hotel we will revisit and recommend to friends and family.
Room 500 is spacious with a capacious bathroom. The Rhine view is to the side of the rear study section with diagonal view across a roof and is disappointing. A clean pristine room. The a period restaurant comes complete with a mural-ed ceiling. Worth the money, but the with no coffee in the room before breakfast unless by calling room service. This clearly saves a lot of money for the hotel but the lack of this facility (basic in the UK) will motivate me to find a hotel that does next time. The car park is difficult to access, with a car, the best bet is to park in the hotel car park for the first night and then find parking on the street.
50th wedding anniversary & Wife's 70th birthday celebration so booked the Rheingold Suite. Rose petals scattered over the bed with duvets shaped into hearts, together with a bottle a wine - who says romance dies in old age!! Room excellent as was the bathroom & balcony. Reported on arrival that there was no tv signal on any channels (wanted to catch up on the UK news) - left 3 days later & still none. Didn't spoil our enjoyment of our visit though. Breakfasts were varied & plentiful, ate in the Bristol restaurant in the evening, menu a little limited in choice but what we had was excellent. Last visited Boppard 25 years ago so may be back when she's 95!!
I stayed at the Bellevue Rheinhotel for eight days recently and would go back tomorrow. The hotel is very clean and orderly, the staff are professional, efficient, and courteous, the food was fabulous, including the buffet-style breakfast, and the location could not be better.
4 friends and I travelled to Germany for our annual motorbike tour which traditionally lasts for 5 days. Usually we travel from hotel to hotel in our target country. This year we opted to try a new approach, finding a hotel to use as a base and then ride out from there each day to sample the country and roads, happy in the knowledge we'd be coming back at end of day with no messing about with panniers, packing and map reading each morning. After a fair bit of online research and following an exchange of emails, we settled on the Bellevue Rheinhotel in Boppard. What an inspired choice it was! Located in central Boppard, right on the banks of the Rhine, the hotel is clean, spacious, well decorated and, most importantly, staffed with friendly people keen to help and make your stay enjoyable. We chose rooms with a Rhine view and were delighted to find them spacious, clean and with stunning views of a fascinating part of Germany. (I had forgotten my geography lessons describing the Rhine as a vital transport link for industry in Germany and was delighted to learn first hand how cleverly it was used.) Whilst the hotel itself was lovely, what really stood out for us was the quality of the staff. From sitting out in the hotel beer garden at the front by the river or inside the small but delightful indoor bar, service was always prompt, friendly and geared to us with a personal touch. (Big shout out to Jenni here, infectious smile, brilliant sense of humour and more than able to keep 5 middle aged gents in their place whilst making sure we were tended to perfectly!) We ate in the hotel one evening and the foods was tasty, hot and came quickly. There are also a few restaurants dotted around the town if you wish to take a stroll plus a delightful town square to sit in and watch the world pass by. The hotel has a spa with sauna, steam room and indoor pool. Whilst the sauna is switched off during the day (why waste energy when it's not needed) a simple request to the reception staff and 10 minutes later - sauna ready to sit in! There is private secure parking in the hotel garage just up the street which was easy to get to, clean and very secure. We had no qualms with leaving 5 expensive motorbikes locked away. Breakfast offers a wide selection that should satisfy 99.5% of guests and was always in plentiful supply. If you like tea, check out their tea selections, there are some very interesting flavours available! A good room is 303, small balcony you can watch the world go by from and perfectly situated at the top of the stairs with no noise during the night. Whilst my companions and I tend to choose different countries or parts of countries to tour each year and are unlikely to return, all 5 of us thought the hotel was excellent and i am planning to return soon with my wife - she will love it too!
We stayed in a balcony apartment for 5 nights. The rooms are decorated beautifully, the bed was super comfy and the view from the balcony is wonderful. The sauna, steam room and indoor pool area are fantastic. Although we didn't eat at the hotel we found all of the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. We highly recommend Bellevue Rheinhotel Apartments
Stayed here for a week on a bridge holiday organised by Arena Travel. Well situated and overlooking the Rhine we had a spacious bedroom on the fourth floor with bath and shower, very comfortable bed and a large shared terrace overlooking the Rhine. Cleanliness was of the highest order and the staff friendly. My wife received very willing smiling assistance from receptionist Karen Kruse who helped set up her WiFi on the Kindle tablet. Mrs Gawel, the Hotel owner, gave us an interesting introductory talk about the Hotel and the area. We also enjoyed the wine tasting and accompanying commentary. We were fortunate enough to win one of the bridge sessions and received two bottles of wine donated by the Hotel in addition to prize vouchers. The only downside was the lack of choice on the evening menu and my wife who is vegetarian was very disappointed with the fare provided. Breakfast was fine although we were surprised that there were no beans, mushrooms or fried tomatoes available. There was no provision for coffee or tea making in the bedrooms and Mrs Gawel told us that careless users had damaged the previous furniture whilst making themselves hot drinks, and that following expensive refurbishment the management had decided that the facility would not be re-instated.
This hotel has been owned and run by the same family for more than 100 years and offers old world charm and very good service. We had a large room with en suite bath and shower on the town side, well furnished with plenty of wardrobe and storage space, a safe, mini-bar and presented in spotless condition. Sauna and swimming pool on the first floor. The breakfasts were a delight with a wide choice to satisfy British as well as continental tastes. We were on a group package so evening meal choices were very limited and perhaps not to everyone's' liking and perhaps not a fair reflection of the cuisine offered on other menus.
