Description: Enjoy a beautiful view of mountain living from this rugged timber frame one bedroom condo located in Chalakee, within Echota Resorts. This condo features a covered front entry and rear deck with an amazing Grandfather Mountain view. The view can be admired from the deck or from the large picture windows in the open kitchen and living room areas. The kitchen features custom kitchen cabinetry, granite countertops, hardwood floors, and stainless-steel appliances. It is fully equipped with everything to prepare a meal inside or outside on the built-in-gas grill. The living room is cozy and inviting with a cultured stone gas fireplace, hardwood floors, comfortable furniture and a TV. Stay for a weekend to relax or an extended period and enjoy all the High Country has to offer. This condo is on the bottom floor (downstairs) with an elevator. In case of power outages or elevator equipment malfunctions, the condo will be stair access only.

Resorts' Amenities: Amenities in these gated resorts include indoor and outdoor (seasonal May 1 - Oct. 1) swimming pools with hot tubs, two private clubhouses, fitness rooms, stocked fishing ponds, a 23-acre riverfront park, community hiking trails and catch and release fishing.

Location: This Resort is centrally located to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis and Blowing Rock in the Foscoe area. The convenient location makes it just minutes away from all the High Country’s most famous attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Caverns, and Appalachian State University.  If you are looking for winter sports there are several different options from Hawksnest Snow Tubing, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, and Appalachian Ski Resort. Relax and enjoy the slow pace of the mountains and the fresh air or be adventurous and go hiking, fishing, biking, or sight-seeing. Some other things people enjoy are shopping, antiquing, skiing, golfing and miniature golfing, ziplining, go-karts, and gem mining.

AMAZING

LOVED staying here! Echota is beautiful, with gorgeous views. The pools and gyms are perfect too. Loved the clubhouses! I had a bit trouble finding my place initially since the road doesnt exist on apple maps, so it took me to a neighborhood 10 minutes down the road. I would suggest using google maps instead. And I also had a few maintenance requests throughout my stay, but these were easy to place and got taken care of!

The property was beautiful with wonderful views of Grandfathers mountain. Very well equipped with kitchen utensils and the grill made cooking fun. The unit we stayed in was ground level and carrying luggage and groceries in was a job. The property had no luggage carts. The pool was too far away to enjoy!

Just a couple of Small Issues

Gas fireplace had knobs were removed and could not turn on. Shower liner had mud or mildew specks on it. Whatever it was it would scratch off with a fingernail. Washer did not go through its cycle so I had to do a separate rinse and spin to get the water out of the clothes. My son and I had a great experience otherwise. I just wanted to let you all know for future renters.

The good Great view of Grandfather Mtn. Condo was nice. Bedding comfortable The bad Outdoor pool inconviently located 2 mile away in a different development. Condo not well equipped. No shampoo and conditioner and laundry detergent If you are staying longer than 2 days you need to bring everything including toilet paper. Great weekend getaway!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The balcony is a great place to enjoy the view, read a book, drink a glass of wine and grill steaks! We also enjoy a day strolling the streets of West Jefferson - cute town, great shops and restaurant/breweries.

Good location, cute stay

Location was great, close to downtown Boone and Grandfather mountain. Great view from the balcony of grandfather! Kitchen had everything you need to cook a quick dinner, bed was comfortable and everything was nice and clean. It was a little hard to get to the location.. the map they gave upon check-in was a little unclear but once you get to the home it’s a great place for a weekend.

Perfect location

The property is beautiful. A view of grandfather mountain and it's within a few minutes of tubing, skiing, and hiking. The kitchen had everything we needed and the grill on the scenic porch is perfect. Gated community which is very quiet and makes you feel very safe. We didn't get to use the facilities on property to swim or work out but we will be back.

Fantastic View access roads are a bit chalaging!!!!!!

This unit is just about to the top of the ridge. The views are breath taking. The condo is well stocked clean and well decorated. Will definately stay again.

Love this place!

The condo was absolutely beautiful and the view of Grandfather Mountain was out of this world beautiful! The kitchen was fantastic and stocked nicely with utensils and cookware. The only thing that I would suggest for improvement is the bedding and pillows. All of the pillows were really flattened out and the sheets didn't fit the bed very well. The bed itself was fine - good mattress. The pillows is really the only reason I'm not giving this place a 5 star rating. Thanks so much!
