Due to water damage, the hotel was a mess. I was placed in a handicap room. Even though I did not request that. The room was sparsely furnished. Clearly not a comfortable place to relax or work. Noise from repairs continued until 8 PM.

Met my needs for the short stay weekend we made to Boone. Would recommend.

We had a fun stay in the mountains. The hotel is well located to the main attractions and close to a number of restaurants and a shopping center. It is clean and modern and the staff was vey helpful and friendly.

I traveled with my daughter for a visit to Appalachian State. We picked this location due to it's proximity and rate. We were extremely satisfied. Clean, good breakfast, and friendly staff. I would recommend.

The room was nice and clean. Hotel is in a good central location to downtown Boone and downtown blowing rock. Complimentary breakfast had a large variety not just the typical cereal and bagels. There were pancakes, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy along with the typical stuff.

we went to celebrate our son's birthday and the experience was great!! really close to good restaurants and attractions. love the place, clean and beautiful!!

Hotel was in a great location, very clean, beds were great, needs fridge in rooms, staff were fine but not overly friendly, breakfast was good with good variety, but overall price was too high.

This hotel is located in the perfect location. It is near Main St in Boone and App State and also near Blowing Rock. The staff were wonderful, making my stay very pleasant.

Hotel was clean, and well maintained. Since it was New Year's Eve, the hotel was quite full with families in town for ski/ mountain vacations. Only issue I had was with tv needing to be retuned in room. Only took about 5 mins to fix. Breakfast was popular and busy!

Good location for getting in and out of town, for chain restaurants, and for access to ASU and downtown.

Check-in and out was rapid and friendly; beds were soft and slept great, room was clean and everything was in working order. No overhead fan in bathroom or in room fridge, but those weren't that important.

I was very impressed with my stay in Boone. This hotel was decorated beautifully, room was exceptional and the staff very friendly. Continental breakfast was great. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed just for one night, but the room was perfect, clean and very confortable. Prefect location close to good restaurants, walmart, and attractions.

We actually booked this hotel due to the fact that our favorites were already booked. The good points: staff were friendly, room size and cleanliness (4 people), nice big reception area with couches, tables and chairs and fireplace. The bad points: 1- breakfast foods were total disappointment! We were hoping to fill up before an active day, but couldnt. 2- no workout room. As the non-skier of the group, I would have liked to walk on a treadmill after returning to get some exercising. Too expensive to NOT provide a good breakfast and exercise room!!

We took a road trip up to Boone, NC all the way from Tampa, Fl in search for a good place to ski. As soon as we got to the hotel, we were welcomed. The staff made us feel special. The hotel room was clean and spacious. The continental breakfast was great for a quick bite to eat before hitting the slopes. Some of the hotel staff suggested Beech mountain and Sugar mountain. We wound up testing out both mountains, and sugar mountain definitely wins! I would definitely come back!

Great for a quick trip. Convenient location in Boone. Close to blowing rock and ski slopes. Nicer hotel for a holiday inn express. Has that mountain feel. Rooms are clean neat and tidy.

Nice, friendly staffed, clean hotel. We were in Boone, NC for parents' weekend at Appstate. Too pricey for this weekend.

After being in the Boone area for parts of four days, we definitely are glad we stayed at this Holiday Inn Express. The location was perfect - along the main highway and easy to get to all of our destinations. Another person's previous review here was right on the money with that comment. At this spot, you are only about five miles from Blowing Rock and maybe a mile from Appalachian State University and downtown Boone. Hotel was very nice and clean. Great staff. We opted to pay the extra for the balcony and it was pretty small (it would have been nice to have a couple of small chairs there though), but we liked it with a little bit of a view of some mountains (we were in the back of the hotel). Other hotels might have had better scenic views, but this convenient location was more important to us. We would stay at this hotel again on a future trip. We saw Grandfather Mountain, both Mast General Stores, Linville Falls, Moses Cone Manor, various Blue Ridge Parkway lookouts, Lin Viaduct. Restaurant Suggestions - Canyons in Blowing Rock and the Daniel Boone Inn & Restaurant in Boone.

I have thrown away mattresses better than the one in my room. I could feel every spring and the bed was sagging in the center like an 800lb. gorilla slept in it. I had to cancel the 2nd night because I went to be at 11:30 PM and was out of bed for the rest of the day at 3:00 AM. If you plan on staying there bring a sleeping bag so you can sleep on the floor - it's more comfortable. Don Charlotte, NC

Thank you for your kind review. I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. I know that an off-site fitness center is not always convenient but we offer the 24 hour use of Anytime Fitness so that our guests that choose to do so can get their workouts in. We also have a wonderful walking trail very close to the hotel to enjoy our beautiful Fall weather.

I apologize for any inconvenience you suffered as a result of our water damage issue. If you did not request a handicapped room, I am sure that our front desk clerk assigned that one because it was an available King bedded room. It was not our intention to offend you. Thankfully we have recovered nicely from the water damage and are looking forward to a great summer.
