This is a challenging review to write. My wife and I booked this accommodation as a late anniversary get-away for a long weekend Oct 10-13. There were many things that we loved, and we discussed several times that we would definitely book it again sometime, but there were so many little things that were confounding, that we questioned if we really should return.
We would offer the resort several suggestions for improvement, beginning with our check-in, that was very pleasant, but we had no idea until our stay was nearly over that local attraction information and maps were tucked away in a nook that isn’t really visible at the reception desk and no one indicated that the information was there if we needed it (we had actually discussed that we were surprised that there wasn’t the typical array of brochures available for us to peruse). Following our check-in, on our initial nighttime drive to the building that our room was in, there were signs that pointed us in the direction of our building; however, they are nearly impossible to see driving on the dark & hilly road to get there.
We had requested an upper floor upon booking and apparently missed that there were no elevators. So, while we had a great view and no one above us, two flights of stairs was a lot to manage (at least for my old knees). We wanted the upper floor to avoid hearing noise from above, however, we still heard noise from our other neighbors, which suggested to us that the walls were thin and we therefore
