Spacious apartment in a known historical building, “Casa Berò”, great example of Bolognaise renaissance architecture and former atelier of the painters Carracci.



Through an inner courtyard guests will reach the apartment located on the ground floor, inside this historical Bolognaise building known as “dei Carracci” because it seems to have been the house and atelier of the painters Annibale, Agostino and Ludovico Carracci.

The entrance opens to an access room with table and chairs, leading to the independent and well-equipped kitchen, fitted also with a dishwasher and a kettle. Separately, there is a large and bright dining room with a big table and a TV, furnished with an explanatory table showing the history of the city and the etymology of the different street names from medieval time. The sleeping area consists of five bedrooms: three with a queen size bed and two with a single bed each. These rooms are characterized by different wall colours and most of them are also provided with a desk that, in addition to the free Wi-Fi, allows guests to study and work comfortably. Two full bathrooms provided with showers complete the apartment.

Very central and excellent location for exploring Bologna

The rental location was perfect. That was the five star. But there is a downside. I didn't have the heart to rate them less than five stars because we did have an amazing stay and the location gave us easy access for a larger group of eight people. A couple of people have mentioned it before. The place is an older building so there are lots of allergens for those like myself who are sensitive. I typically plan ahead and make sure I bring antihistamine which I needed to take at this apartment because of the musty smell. But the bigger issue was the sewage problem in one of the two bathrooms. We believe they don't have a trap for the sewage that drains from the shower. This led to sewage smell throughout the apartment but was most pungent in the bathroom and quite offensive. In the end I put up with it and was glad about the location and the price paid. Being able to explore Bologna and downtown a few blocks away was enough for me to overcome the smell while taking a shower or using the bathroom, the main bathroom closest to the kitchen. If smells are offensive to you you would probably want to avoid this rental but if location is important and price is important then you could probably overcome the sewer smell with ease. It depends on you. Overall lovely place and I would otherwise recommend it highly. There is no air conditioning which was anticipated. Most people found the temo be comfortable enough. They do have fans in the rooms and we were fine c temp

Great location

The apartment is located a short walk from everything you could want/need in Bologna. There are restaurants, coffee shops and all manner of shopping a mere 5 minutes from the apartment. The bedrooms and showers are comfortable, though one bathroom is attached to the room with single beds. There are many places to sit and eat in the apartment, but no actually living room. Gathering and socializing is limited to dining room table- no sofa or upholstered chairs, which would have been nice!

Disappointing experience.

The apartment seems poorly managed. The main bathroom had a strong septic smell for the entire stay. Additionally, my wife got locked in the main bathroom on the first night. The lock is faulty. Handles are falling off the shower doors in the secondary bathroom. The apartment is way over-priced for the experience. It is located in a nice area in Bologna. With attention to detail and an improvement in management, this would be a nice place to stay.

Eine einzige Unverschämtheit !!!

Zur Wohnung können wir gar nichts sagen, denn man hat uns unser Buchung 3 Stunden vor Ankunft, als wir im Zug saßen, telefonisch storniert. Wir hatten ein halbes Jahr im Voraus gebucht, das Geld pünktlich überwiesen und dann bekommen wir 3 Stunden vor Ankunft diese Absage. Man sagte uns, wir sollten die Onlinebuchungsplattform anrufen, konnt uns aber keine Nummer geben. Das ist wirglich großartig, im Zug, mit schlechter Verbindung eine Service-Hotline bei einem Online-Dienstleister zu bekommen - drücken sie 1 für, 2 für etc. Später erfuhren wir, dass die Stornierung dem "Gastgeber" schon am Vortag bekannt war, er aber erst am Anreisetag diese Info an uns weiter leitete. Es war ein großes Problem kurzfristig in einer Stadt mit Festival ein Unterkunft für 5 Personen zu bekommen. Ich würde NIE NIE wieder bei diesem Veranstalter buchen. Auch auf unsere späteren Anfragen und Beschwerden bekamen wir keine Antwort. NIE BUCHEN !!!
