I stayed here in the summer - 4 friends in two rooms. It was my birthday, so I had booked one of the penthouse suites which come with a little terrace. It was lovely and spacious and in really good condition. Large bathroom. The terrace had an outside shower which was an unexpected touch. We ended up not using the terrace as much as we'd imagined because it was really hot. The room came with two double beds (one of which is actually made from 2 singles - so I assume you could also have the room as a double + 2 singles). Their was a separate space with a dining table and sofa and small desk. There was an embarrassment of TV screens (who needs 3 massive flat screens!). However, the only time we tried to watch something, we couldn't get the Sky TV to work. I'm sure they'd have come and sorted it out but we weren't that fussed. However, if this is important to you, you might want to make sure it definitely does work. My only quibble was an unexpected one: for a suite of this size, with a dining area and terrace space: there was no fridge! This seemed ridiculous to us. There was a chilled tiny wall-mounted "cupboard" which had a few mini bar items in it, if we wanted to buy something. But no where that you could stick a bottle of water...or prosecco. I would really recommend the management to remedy this: there's certainly the space for it. What this meant was we had to get them to bring up buckets of ice for us instead. Other than that, I loved it and would happily stay here again. It is an easy walk to Piazza Maggiore, and is on a small side lane off one of the main shopping streets - you're a stone throw from Zara for example, if that excites you :)
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were super friendly and always there to assist when needed. The hotel is 10 minutes from downtown and all the great sites. The hotel is also within close proximity to some great Asian restaurants. Additionally, the breakfast bar was well maintained with lots of options. This hotel is by far the cleanest and well-maintained establishment we've stayed in over the last six months travelling. Our room was very spacious with its own terrace and great view.
Great location, central to everything and within easy walking distance to the train station. Has a really nice rooftop bar with city views. Is located down an alleyway off the main street so the noise level is low.
Just a little off the shopping area and close to the main square, one can't beat the location of this hotel. It's modern & newly renovated. This is our second visit to Bologna ( previously stayed at the Metropolitan apartments as there were 6 of us). Nice to see Roberto again. He's extremely helpful and took good care of us.
Centrally located...just don't try to drive there. GPS will have fun with you. Do as hotel website advises and pay to park in the parking garage close to the hotel. The lobby looks more like a store than a lobby. We walked passed it twice before we realized it was the entrance! Staff super friendly. The rooms were nice and very clean. However, we found them very warm with no option to cool and very noisy from the corridor. Decent breakfast with excellent coffee. If I had to go to Bologna again, I'd probably give it a second chance. The noise for me was the biggest issue.
Lovely and clean hotel. Staff lovely and very helpful. Stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. No iron in room so consider taking a travel one. Really lovely place to stay. Right in the centre of it all here. Easy access to all the best sights around. Continental breakfast was lovely too. Would stay there again happily :)
The hotel is in a great location in the old town which is pedestrianised at the weekend. The staff couldn't have been more helpful - booking taxis and showing us where sites and restaurants were located. The superior room had coffee and tea making facilities which is a real plus in continental Europe ! as not many hotels offer this facility. Lovely, comfortable bed and quiet in spite of central location.
Nicely situated in the old ("arched") part of the city and close to the best shopping, bars and restaurants. The hotel is medium sized 'boutique" in style with a roof-top terrace and lower terraces to access some rooms. The desk staff were very helpful throughout the stay. Both the plumbing and electricity in a our room was very much Form over Function. In short, very Italian. The walls between our junior suite and the next were wafer-thin. The junior suite was on the small side for a suite. Bed = excellent. One BIG disappointment. The Wow factor in terms of marketing the hotel is the roof terrace and bar. The photograph of it at dusk is the 'hook' for the hotel. Upon checking-in, we we informed "Sorry Roof Terrace CLOSED." Reason given - too cold. Not for British folk, I can assure them. This was a big disappointment given the promise and what I had promised my wife. My feeling the closure was more to do with saving bar-staff costs then the temperature??? Plus the hotel isn't cheap. So beware, if you chose the hotel for this feature. Obtain an undertaking before booking that the roof terrace bar will be open during your stay. If it had been open, then the rating would have been higher.
this is a lovely hotel half way between the main sightseeing areas and the downtown station area. it's located in a side street and is surrounded by nice cafe's, restaurants and shops. the room was small but smartly decorated and furnished. there are larger rooms in the hotel. the staff were very polite and helpful. breakfast was mainly continental with sliced portions of fruit and a selection of pastries. some hot food like scrambled eggs were available at an extra cost.
Very well located in a quiet street few minutes walk to main square. My single room had a nice bed but a disappointing view of a dingy internal courtyard from the window. Breakfast excellent wifi fine
