Great location, professional and courteous staff, nice room and wonderful breakfast too. We usually stay in an airBNB but were just staying one one night in order to catch a flight the next morning. Good find.
We recently stayed in a newly renovated superior room on the 3rd floor of this hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a fantastic shower and quality modern fittings throughout. The hotel's rooftop terrace has amazing views of Bologna and was a perfect spot for an aperitivo. However, I was most impressed with the service I received after leaving a necklace in our room on departure. The staff contacted me immediately, and arranged delivery to my home address in the UK the next day. Thank you to the cleaning and reception staff for your honesty, and for all your help in getting my necklace back to me ! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel as an excellent base, in a nice neighbourhood, close to the historic centre of Bologna. I hope to return !
This hotel was fabulous! The room we had was large with a lovely ceiling with wooden beams. The breakfast room had just been renovated with a great breakfast selection. The staff were very friendly and approachable. It was only a short walk to the main Piazza Maggiore with lots of streets full of restaurants. We hope to return one day.
We stayed only one night. The room was clean and the hotel is in a great location. The staff was nice and helpful. The breakfast was very good too. They have a car park nearby and the roof balcony is lovely.
Stayed here for 4 days and it was the perfect place to stay. So close to the historic centre of Bologna which is great if you tend to get lost easily! The hotel itself is lovely, super clean and the staff are fab - so welcoming and will do whatever they can to help. The roof terrace is beautiful, from 6 you can have drinks and nibbles and enjoy the fantastic views over the city. I will definitely be coming back! Thank you!
The Room was fine when we first checked in but when we returned to the Hotel in the evening the stench of sewage from the bathroom/toilets was nauseating. Even with the bathroom door closed it permeated into the bedroom. The night staff told me this is normal in hot weather; the day staff told me it happens when it rains! No other rooms were available. I booked the room well in advance and I was therefore very disappointed to be charged for accommodation with a known, and rather disgusting, problem.
We stayed here for three nights, and had originally booked a standard double room. When we checked in, we were offered to upgrade to a gold room with a private balcony for a reasonable price, which we accepted. I am so happy we did!! The room was bright and airy, and the bed was soooo comfy! I loved our little balcony, and we were given a complimentary bottle of Prosecco as well. The woman who checked us in was so sweet and helpful, I didn't get her name unfortuntely, but she helped us with our luggage up to the room, and recommended us a great restaurant just close by. (Osteria de Poeti, great place!) The hotel is just a short walk from the city centre, with a lot of great restaurants and bars close by. The roof terrace is beautiful, and gives a great view of Bologna and the surrounding hills. The first evening there was a sweet lady serving drinks and yummy snacks up there, but on Saturday and Sunday, there was no service. But we could of course order drinks at the reception bar and bring it up there, so no worries :) Breakfast was very good, with lots of hams and cheeses, Bologna style, and also scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon. Lots of fresh fruits, cakes and pastries, and great espresso on request. We needed to have some shirts dry-cleaned, and although we were a bit late to deliver them to the reception, we had them cleaned and delivered to us within the next day. WiFi is very good, even though it was a bit annoying to have to re-log in every time, but that was just a minor hassle. All in all, a really great hotel, and the wonderful staff makes it extra special. If we are ever to return to Bologna (which I really hope to do), we will no doubt stay at the Touring Hotel again.
We stayed here for two nights and loved every minute of it! Super location in the historic city center. Friendly and helpful staff, charming rooms and great breakfast. The rooftop bar with amazing views is not to be missed! We highly recommend this hotel!
I always stay at this hotel when I am in Bologna. The staff is very lovely and always helpful. This hotel has a fabulous view of the town. It is located in a great part of town next to piazza San Domenico, Gelateria Funivia, and the best shopping street ( Via Farini). They also offer a great breakfast with good Italian coffee. I highly recommend this place :)
The location of the hotel is really great, most places to visit in walking distance. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Our dogs were most welcome. From the roof terrasse you may enjoy a wonderfool view.
