One hundred steps up and you find Gracias Madre: a hilltop sitting jungle cabin extending 30 feet in the air with the birds, trees, and monkeys that overlooks the Caribbean Ocean. It's design is completely open to nature and boasts majestic views from two decks with a constant breeze.
Enjoy your days connecting to the ocean sounds and exploring the many beaches and adventures out your front door.

The front walls of the main floor and upstairs loft to a peaceful jungle experience. From visiting howlers monkeys to singing birds our decks are home to hammocks, locally sourced hardwood furniture, a yoga/sun deck, and more. The experience found at Gracias Madre is for those with an appetite to be in an open environment surrounded by nature. This home is also in the surf rich zone of Isla Colon.

Words can’t express how much I enjoyed staying in this house. If you love nature, you will love it!!! The house is extremely spacious, we are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers, and everyone had enough space, kids even had their own balcony and little mini snack fridges next to their beds. We saw howler monkeys and parrots everyday. One day we saw a toucan, and even a sloth cruised by. No need to pay for a nature tour, everything we wanted to see was right outside the balcony. We stayed in other places in Boca that were musty, the open air feature of this home keeps everything mould free, and the breeze coming through kept the place the perfect temperature. We were there in Jan, and never felt the need for air con, the fans were all that was needed. There are folding walls that roll out if you want more privacy. Katharine, our host was amazing! She met us at the property when we arrived, and was available with helpful local insight and recommendations. Showering under the stars, multiple places to sit, hammocks. Large kitchen. The bird sounds from the surrounding jungle were amazing. You can walk to surf and restaurants.
