beautiful place great grounds and friendly staff room was really big with a double and a single bed plenty of toiletries wedding venue was very nice I think it was called the Manor rooms just up from the main hotel

Incredible views, the staff could not have been more accomadating. The view absolutely took our breath away and the price was really reasonable especially for the standard and quality. Very family friendly, romantic too. Excited to find an excuse to stay there again :)

Tulfarris hotel is in a really lovely location surrounded by a great golf course. We spent two nights there on an over 55’s package. I had upgraded to an executive room. Initially I was very pleased with the room but because of a nasty smell in the bathroom I was moved to a suite on the second night. The food in the dining room was well cooked but on the second night the portion size and quality were not as good. The breakfasts were ok but again the second morning instead of a freshly cooked individual breakfast we had to pick from a hot buffet. The cold buffet was poor with no berries and little fresh fruit. Plus the breads on offer were stale from being left out. The staffing in the bar was inadequate and twice we had to remind the staff to bring our order out. The offer we were on promised glasses of bubbly and scones and tea. The bubbly was wine served in flutes and the scones were far from fresh. But I did enjoy my stay and the hotel was busy with lots of guests.

We stayed at Tulfarris for 4 nights for the Europro Golf Tournament. First impressions of the hotel were very good: friendly receptionist, relaxed atmosphere and beautifully decorated. We stayed in a superior room, which was really spacious and clean, with a fridge, safe, Nespresso machine and toiletries. It was quite comfortable except for the two mattresses pushed together on the bed which easily moved apart. We had a couple of issues with our room during our stay but these were rectified immediately by the staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them and every single member of staff we came across was lovely. There was a wide range of food available at breakfast with tea/coffee included. We mostly ate in the bar and the food was very tasty, albeit a bit expensive - expected for a 5* hotel though. We didn't try the restaurant due to budget but it looked very nice. The golf course itself was in great condition and it was clear a lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes. I especially liked the halfway house where complimentary tea/coffee was offered and a vending machine with snacks in. The views from the course of the lake were stunning! Blessington is about a 10/15 minute drive away which has plenty of shops, supermarkets and restaurants. The route to the airport/ferry port is straightforward but watch out for the tolls. Go in peak times and you'll be set back 10 euros! A big thank you to all the staff who made our trip really enjoyable!

We had a lovely stay in the hotel over the bank holiday. We had a great room overlooking the golf course with a balcony. Staff were so friendly and manged to get us some tooth paste as we had forgotten to bring any with us. It would appear to be a great wedding venue as well. I will certainly be back .

Checked in on Thursday for a 1 night stay. We had a really fabulous stay and Yvonne, at Reception, upgraded our room. Room was beautiful, spacious with a large balcony. We had a lovely meal in the Hotel on Thursday night. we upgraded from a main course in the Bar to the Elk Restaurant. Meal was fantastic, the staff all so nice and kind to us. Would have loved another night or two there. The Hotel is newly refurbished and it is really cosy and comfortable. The staff, throughout the hotel, is amazing - so friendly and helpful. We have been to Tulfarris Hotel on many occasions but this trip was very special. Will return shortly. We highly recommend. Thank you Tulfarris Hotel, Blessington, Wicklow.

Returned to this hotel having stayed here 4 months ago and having been satisfied on that occasion. Booked a suite for a special occasion trip. After a 3 hour drive there, the room was not ready until 1 hour after check in time of 4pm and reception also failed to phone me as arranged, whilst we sat in the bar, having had to have my drink transferred to a clean glass as opposed to the lipstick smeared one in which it arrived. The suite looked okay on first glance, BUT had a non working table lamp, half used toiletries, no shower gel and a dirty towel hanging behind the door, added to which the balcony (which serves little purpose as is not furnished) was strewn with cigarette ends. On reporting these issues, a maid eventually arrived to finish cleaning the room and to go off and bring toiletries. This meant more waiting around instead of relaxing in the 160 euro per night 'luxury' room. On return to our room following day, the cleaning seemed minimal and the glaringly obvious dead wasps were still present. We ate both nights in the bar which is fine food and service wise, though the revamped bar area which looks attractive and the new seating layout make it difficult to find seats at busy times. The bar staff are however very efficient and watchful and service there is good. Breakfasts were underwhelming and bland and also challenging with the wasp issue in the dining room. On second morning I was on plate 3 from the pile before I found a clean one and we left without finishing our breakfasts due to the wasps. We did not automatically receive our bubbly voucher for booking direct and had to ask for it on the second day. Perhaps the most annoying part of this experience was that at no time did anyone come back to us to enquire if everything was okay. Seems that there is no one in overall charge.

Arrived to the hotel and the staff were pleasant and nice. Check in is normally at 4, but the room was ready at 3. Got to the room (suite) and it was okay. Cosy, but pretty outdated. Next morning, went down to get breakfast and noticed there was about 6 wasps flying around the restaurant. When we were getting food, the wasps were landing and crawling on the food. Picked up some bread and there was mould on the bread. Was turned off my breakfast, so had to go into town to eat. Wouldn't go to breakfast in the hotel again.

I originally left a mediocre review for Tulfarris nearly two years ago, However I recently visited the course again and they have spent some money there. The place looks fabulous the course well maintained and in top condition. It's a seriously good challenge of your golf especially In the height of Summer. Friendly reception in the pro shop much better stocked than before. Everything is still spread out pro shop, changing rooms and restaurant but apart from that, if it's the golf your after it's an excellent choice. I'd imagine it's still fairly wet in the winter but its Ireland we got to expect it. Well done on the improvements Tulfarris.

we booked this hotel at the last minute and were delighted with the rooms and the service was outstanding. The meal in the restaurant was top class as was the service. The breakfast the next morning was a bit disappointing given the standard of the night before with the poached eggs being hard and tasting of vinegar and unusually a charge for a latte. It was also jammed with people queuing but that is not the hotels fault as there was a wedding the night before
