Enjoyed my stay, clean comfortable and staff was friendly

This is a typical springhill. great design / layout of the rooms, decent breakfast bar, nice enough lobby. As with many properties in the springhill line, they are starting to show their age inside, both bedding and general upkeep. You expect devent but not 4-star and they deliver wonderfully. The $10 to park was unexpected for a fairfield/springhill.

This Springhill Suites by Marriott is conveniently located, reasonably priced, and the staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The bedding is more than comfortable. The seating area is a wonderful perk to any hotel - and offered plenty of space and comfort for relaxing before bed. It was so nice to have a market area for last minute needs - but above all else - the staff that I interacted with during my visit were so very kind and helpful. It is obvious that they take pride in their jobs and have a positive work environment. I especially like, being a woman, that upon check in my room number was kept private. These experiences are why I always look for a Marriott when I travel.

We stayed in town for one night. I am a fan of Springhill Suites Birmingham Downtown. The staff are courteous and quick, the breakfast is well rounded and tasty, and the location is perfect for shows at Iron City. Unfortunately, we were a little concerned about the cleanliness of our room this time due to empty water bottles being in the corner upon our arrival. Missing the trash shows that the room was not thoroughly inspected during cleaning.

Spent one night while in town for a concert at the Workplay Theater. Yes, you do have to walk from the parking garage but not very far at all and didn't cost us a thing (plus it was well lit and felt safe). We parked and didn't crank the car again until we left. The location is so convenient downtown and we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't try out the small bar or restaurant but both looked very nice. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the shower was great! Overall a very pleasant experience and would definitely stay there again.

it was a good hotel for one night. will use again in the future.

We loved every moment of it! If your looking for comfort, professionalism, and class this is a great place to stay. It was very accommodating, and check in was easy and quick!

Everthing was great couldn't have asked for a better visit

This hotel is actually very nice. The parking situation is different with the garage being next door so not the most convenient, but workable. The problem is that there were no rooms available for check in at check in time and there was no manager available to complain to. The individuals doing check in did their best, but there's no excuse for 60 people to have to write their name on a list in order to check in for previously paid for and reserved rooms. Unacceptable.

Be sure you have the right location...the property is relatively new - and my GPS system couldn't find it, and sent me to a sister location. That aside, the property is brilliant. Nice staff, things are working and looking new and fresh. I think (assume) I got upgraded simply because I got lost and had to call a few times, to get proper directions, to the correct property. Only complaints is that the don't tell you that parking is an additional cost - ignore that and get free parking weekends on the street (I found a space across the street - during St. Patty's Day weekend) The breakfast is nothing to write home about. Would def come back again.

VERY GOOD EXCEPT PARKING COST $10 PER DAY NO COVERED WAY TO GET TO PARKING DECK WE GOT DRENCHED IN RAIN WAS NOT EXPECTED. COST OF PARKING WAS NOT DISCLOSED IN BOOKING

Our stay was very relaxing and quiet. The tve reception was not that great but other than that we enjoyed the stay.

A standard moderately-priced downtown business hotel that is elevated by an OUTSTANDING staff. Rooms were recently remodeled as well - very confortable and functional.

clean and cozy. Great location especially if you are going to UAB medical center.

Magic City Brewfest

The room was amazing. The lobby is plain and boring. Great Price

Good hotel if you don't mind walking around, but I wouldn't recommend this city to visit. Nothing to do except eat...we wish we would have skipped this city and spent more time in Savannah. Hotel was very nice, just a bit of walk (about a mile) to "Five Points" where all the restaurants were. Heated indoor pool (not heated enough for me), but no jacuzzi.

the hotel was lovely. perfect location to downtown. just what we were looking for. it was easy to get into and out of and was quiet and comfortable.i was surprised upon checkout to find that i was charged for the complimentary breakfast as well as the parking garage. it seems it was my responsibility to tell them it was complimentary rather than swiping my room key as instructed. because i had my printout from [...], i was able to have that charge removed.

The room was wonderful, very clean, nice amenities, however the service was very slow. I'm not saying that the employees didn't want to help, they did. But there simply weren't enough of them. The front desk clerks also had to take drink orders, deal with customer service issues, make pastries, etc...it simply overwhelmed them. Management needs to consider adding an additional person per shift...

For such a "fancy place" I would have expected airport transportation, such as a shuttle bus. The cab fare was $20!!
