We were in the room next to the outside doorway and parking area and still found our room extremely quiet. The room was clean and the air was pretty good. I tend to get a stuffy nose as a result of the air in hotel rooms. There was a slightly septic spell like a dentist office, upon arrival. The bed was super comfy. Breakfast was great, though they always have the worst coffee. Front desk was attentive.

This was my first hotel stay in a series of testing 5 different Marriott brand hotels in Birmingham, which will all be on TripAdvisor in the coming days :) First, this is a perfectly adequate residence inn. Nothing out of the ordinary, good or bad. Unfortunately, as a Marriott Gold Elite Member, I was not offered a room upgrade, nor really recognized for my loyalty. As a frequent traveler I appreciate when brands recognize the value I bring to them at least verbally if not with extra upgrades/ perks. I think this hotel fell short here. Breakfast is included and is a fairly standard spread. Location wise it isn't walking distance to much and is kind of at the end of a road, which is nice as it's quite quiet. All in all I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here again as I think there are better Marriott hotels in a similar price point nearby with more amenities. However, if you're looking for a quick highway stopover near Birmingham, this fits the bill and is reliable.

I would say this was an OK hotel, but not one I would choose to stay in again. A turn off right away in the room was the stains on the couch. Breakfast in the morning was ok, but when I went to make a waffle for my wife at 8:30 (serve until 9) the waffle mix was out and trying to find someone was near impossible. Overall, it was adequate but nothing compared to the Residence Inn we had stayed at in North Charlotte, SC.

Moved here from another property. Impressed with the staff, room and overall experience. Brought our dog and there was a great place to walk him as well. The property is in good shape including the pool, gym, and breakfast area. The only complaint was the laundry room, seemed that there were never both washing machines working. We were here over 90 days and it worked well for us, we weren't too fond of weekends when sports teams came but it had nothing to do with the property, just the negligent parents. There were a few people who really made our stay comfortable, Darlene, Kisha and Shawndell. Kisha was always smiling and kept everyone happy at breakfast and dinner time. The dinner times during the week were a bonus, decent food and alcoholic beverages as well as excellent service. Shawndell is very diligent in making sure your room is clean and you are happy with it. Darlene is overall a great person who is helpful in every way from room reservations, room charges to helping out with the breakfast and dinners as needed. She was always the one we went to for answers. All three of these ladies are part of what makes this a wonderful property!

Someone please tell me why the carpet near the the sinks in our two -bedroom suite were wet? I have a tendency to take off my shoes and walk barefoot as soon as I enter the house, so when I went to the sink to wash my hands, the floor was wet. I went into the other room and the same thing- wet. I am so sorry that I just came from the Residence Inn in Bartram - Jacksonville, Florida because they set the bar. At this hotel, nothing was fresh or new, although everything was clean. Some of the pillows were worn, the couch seating slightly sunk and I did not like the room. They did have a nice kitchenette.Considering the hear outside, it would make sense to have the ice maker in the fridge make a little ice before our arrival, but I had to wait till the next morning to get a full tray. It may have been nice to someone else, but seeing that they could do better, I had higher expectations. The location is ideal for eating and shopping.

Checked in Thursday, June 15th for an overnight stay while traveling to New Orleans and was greeted by Shawn, the evening front desk personnel with a smile and warm conversations. She was truly a pleasure to talk to and she helped me with all of my crazy request. The room was nice and clean and the breakfast was fulfilling. We enjoyed our stay and will be in the area soon to stay again.

I stayed here two nights while visiting my brother who was in the hospital. I was in a wheelchair due to an injury at the time. The doorways are very small and only one is automated. If my son hadn't been with me there is no way I could have made my way around alone. The place is nice & clean. The outdoor areas are beautiful. My teenage son & I were the only ones at the pool. We had stayed at the hospital later than intended and didn't get there until @ 8:45. We saw that the sign said it closed at 9:00 but we're hoping since it was just us. they might let it slide. A staff member came out at 9:01 p.m. and said pool was closed & he had to get out. 9:00 is way too early. Breakfast was good & staff was very nice. I would stay again if I wasn't in a wheelchair & could get to the pool earlier.

Convenient area for overnight stay on the way to Florida. Rooms were typical Residence Inn. Somewhat roomy and somewhat clean. This is a pet-friendly hotel with free breakfast and an outdoor pool. Breakfast was limited but ok. Nice to place to stay for overnight.

I was there on business travel. I had a handwritten welcome note, a Residence Inn coffee mug filled with some treats and a few discount coupons in my room when I checked in. The staff was super friendly and I enjoyed the suite which included a living room with sofa bed, kitchenette and a bedroom with a queen size bed. I had not stayed at Residence Inn in several years, but really enjoyed having more space to move around. Breakfast is included along with an evening snack or quick meal. One night was snacks such as fresh veggies, chips, salsa and cheese. Another night was hamburgers with all the fixins and the last night was pulled pork and pulled chicken, provided by a local restaurant (it was really good). Most nights after work, I really didn't want to go out, so the evening food service was great for me!

We were there for the C-USA basketball tournament. This hotel was very nice . We had a 1 bedroom suite which was much roomier than staying in a plain hotel room somewhere else, and didn't cost a lot more. We had a bedroom, living room and small kitchen area that had a full size fridge, dishwasher, and 2 burner built-in hotplate. Had dishes furnished. Bed was very comfortable, but hide-a-bed was not. 2 tvs. Daughter enjoyed the little basketball court. The pool was closed, don't know when it is scheduled to open. Lady working the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I go back to Birmingham.
