This was the 1st time I have stayed here. All the staff very friendly and helpful. I had room 313 overlooking the parade ring of Wolverhampton Racecourse. I slept very well, no noise at all. I had a good meal in the evening, and the self service breakfast was very good. A very smart and clean breakfast area, with loads of choice, immaculately displayed. I am not sure about the open plan ground floor areas, there was noise from people sitting in the lounge area, whilst you are having your meals.
Stayed one night as close to friends wedding venue. Great service from reception as able to ring up in advance to see if room available earlier due to wedding able to accommodate us no problem. Friendly welcome and reception arrange a taxi for us as soon as we arrived so we were not late. First impression one of the nicest holiday inn's I have ever seen. Spacious and modern, rooms lovely and clean could not fault. Breakfast was fantastic loads on offer! I go to many race meets each year and never been wolverhampton but seeing this hotel I am looking at coming back to the racecourse next season. Such a wonderful hotel
The hotel is a little worn and the beds small but the food is good and the location for the racecourse is brilliant. The staff are friendly and the hotel offers a great car park. The sleep quality was compromised by the noise but we would return when at the races.
Lovely venue and the rooms are very modern and comfy. Food is nice , nothing fancy but it does the job ! Huge car park and free parking. Stayed there a few times now for business and would defiantly recommend.
Lovely hotel perfect for the races. You walked through the bar upstairs on to the course. The drinks in the hotel are quite expensive but the meals in the hotel are good with buffet breakfast and a nice choice of evening meals will definitely stay again
You know what you are getting with the Holiday Inn brand and this hotel typifies this. Clean, quiet rooms = good night sleep. Good menu choice, not overly expensive served by friendly local staff. I stayed when there was no racing on so plenty of car parking and nice ambience in the hotel. Can't comment on what changes (if anything) when racing is on.
Driving back from Wales and the kids and wife felt unwell and demanded a hotel to break the journey Found this hotel and booked 3 hours before arrival and the cost was only 51 pounds for the night, bargain! All of the staff we met were absolutely fabulous and couldn't do enough for us The hotel was incredibly clean and well maintained and the family room we had was well sized Breakfast was fabulous and unlike Premier Inn or Travel Lodge the hotel had room service (which eased my burdens considerably) The kids also got to see racehorses exercising which was great 10/10 - great place to stay!
We stayed here after a day at the races lovely modern clean rooms with a comfy bed!! We had an evening meal after the races it was a nice varied menu food was ok breakfast was much better with a nice selection of hot and cold foods that were very fresh I would stay here again after the races
I've used this hotel previously for a couple of presentation evenings, but on this night on a trip back from Dorset I was forced to book a hotel just after 11 and turned up here just before 12. I also left the hotel at 5 the following morning. So no services used just a late check in, which they were aware of and a easy checkout in the morning. The hotel is based within the grounds of the Wolverhampton race track and from my window I could see the parade paddock, it would be perfect if you were into horse racing. Can't fault the hotel, easy in and out, no hold ups, which sometimes that's all you want with a business trip.
Love my Holiday Inn. Brilliant staff, good selection of breakfast and rooms are very homely. Wherever I holiday, I always try to book with Holiday Inn as it's very good value for money. No frills, comfortable bed, clean and modern bathrooms. Everything you need in the room to make you feel just........at home.
