We stayed here for one night, bed was two singles joined to make superking, which was quite comfortable but took up a lot of the room. Room was clean and very airy...no double glazing and the sash windows were difficult to close. In the winter this could be chilly as there was a small radiator under the window but they had provided an electric heater. View was over car park and other properties, not really a view but was noisy with coming and goings. Entrance was from car park which was free but spaces were small and tight squeeze up driveway. Breakfast was included but you could only have continental or cooked breakfast if you wanted both it was an extra £8.95 which was not mentioned on Accor Hotels website. Orange and Apple juice provided in glasses so only one glass each, coffee tasted of instant rather than filter, this was self service rather than pot of coffee or tea on your table. A good base for city centre/football ground. For the price of £74 I would expect Full Breakfast. Staff friendly.

Having an emergency at our business unit in Wolverhampton I needed to book a 5 night stay, the usual hotel we use was booked up so was left to the devices of the search engine! I needn't have worried, this little hotel in the heart of Wolverhampton was an oasis, great staff, lovely clean rooms, nice bar area and lovely breakfast . . . add to that its location with a real ale pub and a plethora of eateries, this really is our new regular hotel for our business trips to the West Midlands. Well done Claudia and the team, excellent service and truly professional . . .

My husband and I were attending a wedding, so I booked this hotel as it was nearby. There was plenty of free parking round the back of the hotel, and on arrival we were greated by a very friendly helpful lady; who asked us what type of room we'd like i.e bed size, front of hotel, quiet, 4 poster bed etc. (we were first to check in) We went for a room with a king size bed on the 2nd floor at the back of the hotel. So it was very quiet. We were shown up to the room (fantastic service, other places similar to this just give you the key and let you find your own room) The room itself was modernised, really clean with fresh towels and linen. Extra pillows and blankets were provided in the wardrobe. The ensuite, again was modern and very clean with a good shower. The lady behind reception ordered us a taxi for a set time; which was really nice and also showed us the code to get back in the door if it was late when we got back. When we arrived back at the hotel, we were greeted by the same lady, who asked all about our evening. We slept great and the room was so quiet. The next morning we were up early for breakfast, (the same lady) served us a full english and tea and coffee. The lounge area where the breakfast was served wasn't modern like the bedroom, it still had all the old features and curtains. Overall the lady at this hotel went out of her way to accomodate us and make sure we were ok and enjoyed our stay (& our fussy breakfast orders!) Would definatly book to stay here again if I was down that way.

My husband and I stayed here on 8th July. Reception staff were delightful, friendly and helpful. We had a room with king size bed in the main house at the top of the stairs. The room was comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. Everything worked and wifi was free. It was a very hot night so we had to have the window open which did mean we had noise from the road which did disturb our sleep. Breakfast was basic but good food. We didn't have the full English but what I could see of others, it looked good. The service was very good. All in all a good clean basic hotel which if you are ever in Wolverhampton would be good. The hotel is let down by its location as Wolverhampton centre is an awful place where I did not feel safe.

The Duty Manager could not have been more helpful and courteous. On arrival we were allocated a room which was easier to access without having to ask. The room was well decorated, equipped and spotless. The bed was comfortable. We had not booked for an evening meal but we were able to eat in the restaurant which provided a range of tasty food. The service throughout our stay was excellent. The Ely Hotel is well situated for access to the city centre by a frequent bus service while leaving a car in the hotel's car park.

Excellent location for town and stadium, the team are very friendly and accommodating. Food reasonably priced and home cooked. Rooms are clean and spacious with great wifi throughout. Really enjoyed my stay here

We stayed overnight when we attended a wedding. We had a block booking and had 5 rooms. Hotel very welcoming. Room lovely. Couldnt open window bit staff opened and left fan in room. We had a really comfy bed and had a great nights sleep. Breakfast followi g morning was lovely. Greated by very friendly staff who couldnt be more helpful. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Definitely recommend staying at Ely House and would definitely return.

I stayed there for two nights and the rooms were very clean. I booked a double executive room including breakfast. The room was on the second floor overlooking the car park. They deliberately put me there to give me a quite room. It was on that very hot Sunday and the room was hot. Next morning at breakfast when Claudia asked me how I slept I told It was very hot in the room she straight away offered me to have a look at a room at the front of the hotel but said she was not sure about road noise. I told perhaps a fan if the had one. When I returned that evening there was a fan in my room. The effort the staff put in making sure you are happy is fantastic. They also made a point of remembering my first name. Breakfast as also freshly cooked to order. The management should be proud of the small team. The genuinely care. Thank you to Savita & Claudia. I will be back.

This is a lovely hotel and the room are lovely and the staff are really helpful and very friendly would recommend this hotel to any one who visiting . The breakfast was cooked to order and really tasty nothing was to much trouble

From the moment I walked in. The customer service I received was the best I have received. Could not do enough to ensure your stay was a pleasant one. Food was excellent. Clean tidy rooms and hotel. Highly recommend a stay here. And would definitely return. Should be 5*
