Great amenities, lovely hotel with a beautiful entrance for Christmas. Breakfast is good and staff were all very helpful and friendly. Fantastic location in city centre. Less than a 20 minute walk to lots of sights, historical sights, the mall and Christmas markets. There were some downsides. Room had a bit of snagging. Chipped walls, scuffs on ceiling and fridge was broken. Luckily we used the balcony as a fridge as it was so cold (had a baby so needed milk storage!), but not much effort to find a fix which was a shame but fortunately a minor problem.

We extended our stay after our tour for an additional day in Berlin at the same hotel the tour had reserved. In fact, we stayed in the same room we had, which was very convenient. The check-in/extension was effortless. The location of the hotel was great, close to restaurants, a mall, restaurants, and Vheck Point Charlie. Everything was within easy walking distance. Our room was excellent. We could not have asked for better. The breakfast buffet was more than complete. It even included champagne and a variety of fruit juices, teas, types of coffee, and hot chocolate. Omelets could be cooked to order, and an automated pancake machine popped out mini hotcakes. Breakfast meats—hot sausages, bacon, curry bratwurst, charcuterie—and lots of cheeses abounded as well as the extremely fresh breads, rolls, croissants, and hot and cold cereals. Fresh fruit, compote, and various flavors of honey completed the meal. The breakfast buffet is definitely more than just a quick bite. Skip lunch, for sure! The concierge was more than helpful in setting us up to navigate the city for our extra day. Most knowledgeable and pleasant! Yes, our extra day in Berlin was well worth it. Very smooth and effortless check-in, beyond comfortable room, and very welcoming staff. Truly, a visitor’s delight!
