NH Orio al Serio4.0 out of 5.0

The hotel is across the airport, a 10 min. walk. The route cross under the road and enters in the Orio Mall parking. If you ask the locals try Nuevo Hotel or NH (pronounced Ene Aka). I had a room with a king size bad and a smaller bad, enough for 2 adults with 2 children under 12. The NH standards are good and the hospitality is well known. Free water an tee/coffee in the room and at the reception. 24h snacks in the lobby.
This hotel was only selected due to its proximity to the Bergamo airport. I stayed here only one night at a horrendous expensive rate (150eur/night). To start with, the basic amenities from the room are consistent with others in the NH hotel chain. The room was spacious but look dirty, as the general appearance of the Hotel. Nothing special to say about reception staff, they tried to smile...with difficulties. Checkout speedy but was early morning, nobody around. Certainly the overall experience was nothing to shout about for a NH hotel.
The NH hotel is located very well on side of the Mall before the airport. It’s a typical airport hotel...but when I decided to have dinner in the house because it was too cold and too late to look for something more qualified I was really impressed! The food was well cooked, tasty and served properly. Again, when I saw the “cold” atmosphere and a few people watching the news on TV while eating I wanted to leave. But I didn’t and here I am writing about the best dinner in a three day business tour in the North east of Italy! Maybe it was the hunger...or good luck, but was good! Certainly better than the fast food outlets in the next door Mall.
Hotel is next to the enormous shopping mall and 10 min walking from airport Orio al Serio in Bergamo. We was there three nights in January 2018. Rooms are clean and spacious with very modern bathroom. Clean sheets every day. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Really great hotel.
This hotel was largely selected due to its proximity to the Bergamo airport, especially with flights at ungodly hours. I stayed here on two separate nights two weeks apart in November 2017. To start with, the basic amenities from the room to breakfast offerings are consistent with others in the NH hotel chain. However, the service and some less common amenities leave an awful lot to be desired. On both occasions, I checked in at or slightly past 11pm. When I arrived at the reception, there was a middle-aged lady who was staring into blank space and when I tried to draw her attention, she told me to wait as she had knocked off. She did not even have the decency to inform the night shift receptionist to check me in as he was chatting away with another colleague in the office behind the reception. Secondly, despite a brochure in the room that advises guests to "not hesitate" to contact the reception if they need anything, I dialled the reception upon checking in when I realized some amenities were missing. The guy who checked me in, Gianluca, suggested I come down and retrieve the amenities as he could not step away from his desk - unbelievable there is only one staff in the hotel after 11pm for a hotel of NH Hotel's standing. It's also pretty shocking this hotel had no adapters (for Commonwealth/UK plugs) when I had no problem getting one in NH hotels in more remote locations like Pisa. This is not the sort of service I'd expect from a NH Hotel chain. The breakfast spread was decent and the room was spacious, but the overall experience was nothing to shout about for a NH hotel.
Structure functional, modern and efficient at two steps from Orio al Serio Airport( Bergamo/Italy) connect directly with Milan, Milan Malpensa and other North city. Price is well balanced and the room are clean, good relax and noise. The breakfast i haven't done, but i suggest the Direction to permit at peoples that have thier flight at 6 am to make breakfast too.
the staff was very accomodating.their suggestions for restaurants were great.we managed early check in for 13 rooms at around 12;30,and fast check out.they met all our demands in the best possible way
Hotel is nice clean and really good for stay overnight close to airport. The rooms a clean and moder shower very good. Also the restuarnat inside offers good food:) really strong 4. Big plus for small bar at the reception where You can buy some drinks and food.
I had 24 hours in Bergamo so selected this hotel for proximity to the airport. It was fine for that purpose but I’m glad I was not staying here for longer. While the hotel is close to the airport, and just a 10-15 minute walk, it’s really not a very pleasant one - along the side of motorways, slip road, through an underpass and a multi-storey car park. I would not want to do this late at night. The website says there is a shuttle, but it was not easy to find details of this. Check in was fine, if a little slow. My room was a decent size, but a little shabby. Also, there was a very strong smell of old spicy food - like the last person had had a takeaway and the room had not been aired. Furthermore, the website says that extras like bathrobes were included - there were none. I decided to order room service (which had a 6 Euro delivery charge) but loads of the dishes were frozen (despite the menu saying that dishes were made from fresh ingredients. So, fine for one night. Not for longer.
We stayed here for 3 nights for a business trip. The hotel is conveniently located across the Bergamo airport (10 mins walk) and next to the Orio shopping centre. The check in staff was very friendly. The room was on the small side but had all amenities except coffee and tea making facilities. Since it is an airport hotel, we would expect toothbrush to be included. The first day the room was cleaned but the shower gel and shampoo were not replaced, so we had to look for staff and ask them ourselves. The second day the room was not cleaned at all despite the sign outside our door around 13.30. The electricity and WiFi went on and off a few times on one occasion. The overall feel of the hotel was a little cold with no decorations. However, the hotel offers value for money.
