Beautiful, charming home! Great location- quick walk to beach and church, and easy walk to Main Street. The outdoor fireplace was a bonus, as we love being outside. Great hostess, with lots of extra touches.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Ashwood Cottage. The cottage is very clean and comfortable with many updates. We enjoyed the location with short walks to a beautiful beach, park and town. The neighborhood was especially fun with all the families around us also having a happy summer vacation.

We just spent a week in this immaculate house. It is a great location to the beach, the park and the downtown area. It was only a two block walk to see the beautiful sunsets. There is a nice firepit! Carrie was so easy to work with and gave us suggestions on places to eat and things to do. I would highly recommend this house!!

Perfect Getaway

What an absolute Gem! A beautifully renovated 100+ year old house with all the comforts of home..fully appointed kitchen, comfy beds, washer/dryer discretely placed on main floor, among other things. Keyless entry so no worry about losing keys. Decor is light and airy. Multiple windows allow the light to fill the home yet easy operating shades allow for full privacy at night. Location is perfectly situated..close to the cute downtown area and just a few min walk to the beach to see the stunning Sunsets..Nice outdoor area with Grill and Firepit (along with a Welcome S'more Kit) Carrie is everything you would want in a host..Friendly and Responsive to any questions. My only regret? That we could spend more time there❤️

Girls golf trip

We really enjoyed staying at Carrie’s cozy cottage! So clean and updated. Just a couple blocks from the beach at Lake Michigan. Had a fun night playing Heads Up at the gorgeous firepit. She has everything you need there. Any questions we had Carrie responded either immediately or within a couple minutes. We will definitely stay here again when we travel over to South Haven

Great Location, very relaxing

This house is in a great location close to the beach, parks and also not far from the main shops in town. We walked pretty much everywhere with our 2 year old. The neighborhood was also very quiet for anyone looking to just get away from the hustle and bustle. Carrie was very responsive and helpful with anything needed, would stay again.

Great little beach house

Perfect for an easy family beach getaway. Beach chairs, umbrella and toys were provided. Home was exceptionally clean. Note that if you bring a wagon for the beach, you’ll likely need to drive as there is a full staircase at the beach entrance closest to the home (about 2 blocks).

Summer in South Haven

This home was in a great location. Easy walk to the beach and downtown. The house had plenty of space for our family of four. The bathrooms were beautiful. We also loved sitting by the fire pit in the evenings. We would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful time in the sweetest town!

This was our first visit to South Haven and to say that we fell in love with this town is an understatement! We have 4 boys and our goal with this trip was a slow and easy beach vacation where everything was within walking distance. We parked our car in the driveway of this beautiful home on our arrival day and never got in the car until the day we left! Only a short walk to the beach, playground, splash pad, and even into town for restaurants, donuts and ice cream! Carrie was such a gracious and kind host and her home is so lovely! Adorably decorated, well stocked and so immaculate—it truly felt like a home away from home. My only regret is that we didn’t plan a longer stay! Carrie, thank you again for a lovely stay—we will absolutely be back!

Delightful!

Biggest plus for me is location! Literally 3 minute walk to the park bench overlooking the lake. Close to blue stairs, Kids Corner, and town. Also appreciated quiet mornings on the porch, plenty of fire pit seating, large bathrooms, and quality of furnishings (including baby items!) Sometimes I’m uncomfortable in someone else’s home, but not here! Clean, comfortable, and oh so cute! Felt like I stepped into someone’s Pinterest.

Excellent stay

Our hosts were amazing, and the location was perfect for a quick trip out of South Bend! Great town and restaurants. Place was very clean and kitchen was stocked with proper pots and pans. We would visit again!

adorable house close to everything

We loved our stay in this cute little house. The location was great, we were able to walk to kids corner, the beach, and the town daily. The outdoor firepit was so nice to have. Walking to the end of the street and watching the sunset over the water can't be beat. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. The host, Carrie, was amazing and so easy to communicate with. She was very responsive. I was thankful for previous reviews stating the house is in fact not a 4 bedroom but a 3, with the bunkbeds actually being in a loft space at the top of the stairs. It wasnt a dealbreaker for us but traveling with little kids it was good to know ahead of time. We loved this house and would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect Girls Trip

What a great place to stay for a girls wine tasting trip. The house was spotless and the location was great. Even though the weather was chilly we took our morning walk to the beach everyday! Carrie was great to work with. Can’t wait to go back with my family!

South Haven Fall trip

We absolutely loved our stay at Carrie's house! She is an incredible host with such excellent communication and a welcoming manner. This was our first trip to South Haven and she gave me great information on places to go, where to eat, how to enjoy the area etc. We loved the history of the house and it is really so charming and cozy. Can't wait to come back another time!
