Very nondescript. Room spelled of dog. I realize it’s pet friendly, but I assumed their were specific rooms where pet stayed. Could not get into the restaurant even for breakfast. Hostess didn’t even try. I was told there was not maid service at check-in (which is fine with me), but just call down to the desk. D we’ll get you what you need. Tried that the first night there. Called the desk multiple times, as well as the housekeeping dept. No answer, I know there were 2 people at the desk when we came back from dinner not 15 minutes before. Finally, had to ask in person at the desk the next morning, Not impressed at all, especially given the cost of the room for two nights. I am a IHG elite member and very disappointed.
We reserved two rooms: one king and two queens. When we arrived, a less than affable girl at the desk remarked that because we booked with Expedia, we forfeited the right to a double queen room accommodation! Whutt? We then showed her our online reservations; said then said our request did not register with the hotel’s available listings. Very unnerving beginning. However, she did “manage to find an availability,” as though she expected our utmost gratitude! Otherwise, the king room did not include a hair dryer, although the two queens room did. Minor oversight as compared with the overall exemplary experience!
Great location within walking distance to Manchester shops and 25 minute car ride to Stratton Mountain. Warm and inviting organic decor, queen size beds were very comfortable! Breakfast was hearty but service a bit slow if you are in a rush to get to the mountain. We would definitely return. Pet friendly
Found the bartender to be very condescending. We were also awoken by the staff throwing out garbage in the dumpster below our room. We appreciate pet friendly, but having dogs in the lobby and bar was a bit too much.
Manchester and Kimpton Taconic Hotel made our 40th anniversary an excellent experience.
Nice hotel but the room and the bathroom were very small and the outdoor pool as well.We had to take turns to pass each other in the room. Some of the front desk staff was not very friendly.
The hotel levies service charge of an extra twenty dollars a day for miscellaneous items such as wifi internet service. The room is furnished with a mini bar and a wicker tray of snacks the prices of which are prohibitive.
2nd time here in 2 months. Need to go back with my dogs!
Excellent hotel. Staff was very friendly. Had an inn feel. Charming with all of the amenities
Everything went smoothly from check in to check out. Staff was attentive and friendly. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Room was clean, quiet, and private. The restaurants on site was delicious with a wonderful wine selection. Will definitely be back!
We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The service was impeccable, with helpful folks at every turn, from the front desk to the valet to the hosts of our evening happy hour. Loved staying here and will be back!
Great hotel! very clean and friendly staff. Will stay here again
Stayed there for 2 nights (10/5-10/6) and had a wonderful experience. The entire staff was really friendly and helpful, especially Connie, who we dealt with the most. Room was clean and the location was great. Will stay again.
A beautiful hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Additionally, the Copper Grouse(restaurant) was excellent.
Great new hotel designed to fit in very well with the charm of the area.
