Very fine hotel on floors 64-80 of a tower. Biggest bathtub I have used in a hotel, friendly and helpful staff, fine breakfast buffet, delightful conference buffet lunch, cozy Noodle Bar, and the largest hotel room locker I have seen. Little problems include few electrical outlets, no mirror within reach of the one outlet good for a hair drier, confusing light switches, tub drain difficult to work, bewildering elevator layout for particular floors, and frustratingly s-l-o-w wifi. The staircases you would need for a fire exit are behind locked doors with handles that seem to require breaking something to enter. Despite all these little problems I would gladly stay there again. Besides, this hotel is remarkable for the length of its name, albeit a little hard to fit onto your China entry card!

We stayed in a connecting room this time. The room is spacious. The staffs are nice especially the front desk staff and the technician. The hotel is connected with a large shopping mall. There is a decent supermarket and it is a place for children to hang around. The breakfast buffet has wide choice of food. The food is yummy. Our room’s light had some problem that it could not be switched off. We were then tolerant for whole night to sleep under the light. We asked for help to fix it after we came back to the hotel next day. It was almost 10pm. After calling the front desk, a staff came to the room to check and then the technician. They are so efficient to fix it. Their attitude was very good even I called them to fix it late night. They were so nice.

For a no smoking hotel the Shangai La seems to have a major enforcement problem! My room smelt like an ashtray. Horrible. Breakfast was ok but for a pretty average buffet was expensive. Not hurrying back...

Fourth stay at the China World Summit in the last years and once again, a perfect experience. Hotel keeps standards of service at the very high level. Great rooms, big, spacious, clean, well equipped....fantastic. As mentioned on previous reviews, this hotel is perfect from a location point of view, because the offices of my company are on the 40th floor of the same building, but decision to stay here is not only based on location. Service, attention and overall quality of the hotel are the key drivers of my decision to stay. The internet connection is very poor. Really bad, but understand that is not a problem of the hotel, but more related to the government controls on internet connections and access to sites. Can´t blame the hotel for this, but it is fair to mention that if business travellers (like my case) will rely on the internet connection of the hotel to do some work, it will be definitely say the least. Will stay again on my next trip to Beijing. Definitely.

Thought this hotel was fine all-around, but just didn’t love it for the price. The view was great, the room was nice, but the atmosphere was sort of lacking. Food was fine, not extraordinary. For me, I think there are better options in Beijing.

I rarely write reviews. But I am obliged because of the superb service. This is the 2nd time I stayed at China World Summit Wing during the past year. The service, especially from Chief of Concierge, Dirk, is impeccable and consistent. The personal touch, the thoughtfulness and beyond makes me feel as if Shangri-la were my family. Never thought China World Summit Wing BJ would beat those such as Four Seasons in Seoul or Mandarin Oriental in HK. But because of him, it did!. He makes Shangri-la proud. I also gave my special thanks to Summer Yu, Gavin Chen and Hanson Hu. See you soon again.

This is one of the best experience ever had. The hotel is centrally located in city of Beijing. Easy access to everywhere. Meticulous maintained. Feel like going back home. Service at front desk, lounge very efficient and professional, especially people at concierge reach all the way to help you, like an old friend. Rooms/bathrooms are spacious, nicely decorated and thoughtfully laid out. The best you could expect when traveling all over the world.

What made this the nicest hotel I ever stayed in? The room was great. The view from the window on the 76th floor gave a great view of downtown Beijing and the mountains beyond. The view from the gym was even better, because it was higher and there was more window space. The room was very nicely decorated and had useful touches. I came back to my room one morning to find that my usual rat's nest of charging cables for my various devices had been tidied and the cables neatly coiled up. The service at breakfast was efficient and welcoming without being intrusive. The gym was well equipped and a pleasure to work out in. From a location point of view, the hotel is above the China Mall, which has a subway station from which all the Beijing sights can easily be reached. The Beijing subway is great, clean and I felt safer in it than any European subway I have used. Everywhere the staff were very friendly and eager to help. I would recommend this as a place to stay in a heartbeat.

The hotel is amazing - break-taking views, huge bedrooms with spectacular finishes. The buffet is world class. However, I was taken back by an enormous laundry bill. After dropping of a tiny bag of clothes to the front desk I was expecting a large charge, not the $250 USD I saw on my bill later that evening. Outrageous. I was in total shock. I was able to negotiate it down to $125 USD, but still, the initial bill was more than my entire room. I would never stay here again, purely for the way the hotel handled the situation. If you happen to be in Beijing and laundry/dry-cleaning won't be a factor, this hotel is world class!

Stayed there for three nights with my wife and kids - ended up with two connected rooms. The rooms were elegant, spacious, and very functional. The evening happy hour was lovely as was the breakfast. Great hotel in the middle of CBD. Recommended.
