My first impression of this hotel is that it is a little outdated, upon reaching the room the amenities are sufficient but room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. Staff is helpful and polite. There is a big mall opposite the hotel so that is a good point.
The hotel is perfect. Well located close to a shopping center. The services are excelent. Great room, wifi perfect. Excelent restaurants with fantastic breakfast. Nice indoor pool and fitness center. I highly recommend it.
The hotel is very nice and cleaned. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was really good, all sorts of foods. Gym and pool very nice as well. JUN CHINESE RESTAURANT was really bad. Terrible service, the Peking duck was awful, it was cold when it arrived on the table. They did not sliced it in front of us but brought it out already cut and full of fat, no meat. I would not recommend it.
Stayed here for two nights and have to say I had a very comfortable stay. I got upgraded to a suite and their rooms are fantastic Rooms - very spacious, bed comfortable, toiletries good quality, access to the lounge on the 23rd floor for drinks and a lite dinner proved very handy Food- breakfast is a big affair and there is something for everyone Staff- very friendly and do speak English for ease of communication Business conferencing facilities were great. Did not do any sightseeing so cannot talk about proximity to sites Taxi from airport was Yuan $130 There is a mall next door which is great for a stroll and restaurant options
Excellent service - helpful and English very well speaking staff at the reception - very quiet hotel with good location - near to subway station line 10 (very quick transport to the airport using Airport Express - breakfast with wide choice of both European and Chinese meals - in the evening great piano and singing - LIVE (not sure if it's everyday though)
We stayed for 3 nights in mid-Sept this year. It's a very nice hotel: comfortable room, decent breakfast, friendly staff and good service. Its location is not too far from the city center, however, getting in and out of the hotel by car is tricky. In fact, getting out is not much an issue. Coming into the hotel is not as easy because you have to circle around at least a couple of miles, from either 3rd or 4th rings. There's no easy way for a cab to get in unfortunately. Even though you might not care much about the extra cost on taxi, it is the extra time that could drive you crazy, especially when traffic is heavy (happens often). If you don't have any luggage, it's a good idea to get off the cab by the pedestrian overpass on the 3rd ring and walk back to your room. It'd be faster, believe me.
The hotel is lovely- rooms are super spacious and well equipped (though I wouldn't go as far as calling it luxurious). The staff are friendly (though not all speak English), and we received an upgrade thanks to my IHG membership. As a result we had access to the Club room, which is nice - good views, decent breakfast, dinner and drinks. The gym is large and has literally everything. The restaurants looked very nice though we didn't get to try them. The location is a bit far from the centre, but for us it was perfect as we were getting picked up every day for tours- as a result, we found the value for money superb.
Good location.Agean Mall just next to the hotel, with lots of restaurants on the 4th,5th,6th floor.B1 has a local supermarket and a chinese pharmacy. My room's Aircon is oblivious to my settings, pretty warm in the room. Room is spacious and comfortable. Water leaks out from the shower bath.
This hotel makes for a lovely overall stay but the devil is in the details, as they say. PROS: - Nice big comfortable room with climate control - Comfy mattress - Friendly staff (in general) - Biggish tub in the bathroom. Also in the bathroom, the TV's volume control, which is great. There's nothing more frustrating than lying in a tub and not being able to hear the TV. CONS: - One order of room service came without a side dish but once I pointed this out, it was corrected immediately. Another room service order came with the main dish (fish) piping hot (good) but the chips, cold (bad). - Breakfast is below average: Having paid 158 yuan for breakfast (wasn't part of the hotel's online deal through no fault of theirs), I expect there to be a salt and pepper shaker, as well as serviettes, on the table. No decaf? And the cheese selection is below par. Kinda looks like processed cheese... Furthermore, the bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, etc. were cold. Isn't there a better way to keep these items warm? Bacon tasted like plastic. - I specifically asked for a quiet room but I was put right above where an October fest was going on in full swing. A chain letter on my desk did warn about the noise and it did stop at about 23h00. Still... - Having to wait 30 minutes for a taxi is unacceptable. IN GENERAL: As I'd mentioned, most of the staff were lovely, efficient and super helpful. I ordered an anti-allergenic- and a lavender pillow which arrived promptly. A suggestion to room service and housekeeping staff though (and this s something I've found in other Chinese hotels as well) - when announcing your arrival outside the guest's room, don't continously keep knocking while shouting 'Room service! Room service!' or something to that effect. The guest inside who was relaxing but a second ago, staring off wistfully in the distance, is now falling over herself to get to the door to get that damned noise to stop. Knock once and then count to ten. I know you are busy, but maybe the counting will ease the tensions of your day somewhat as well.
I have previously stayed at the Lido and this was just as nice. Room was large and comfortable. Breakfast in the executive lounge was very nice with lots of choice as you would expect. I tried the restaurant on the 4th floor twice and the food was excellent. Just watch out for the quantity which the photos don't necessarily indicate.
